Really freak style short story where one needs to think long and hard afterwards

Not sure what I think of it, to be honest. Not sure what to make of it. Something's going on in this story, but I'm not sure what. Something's going on with the little boy. It has to do with his parents. I think they're fucking him up pretty good with their self-reliant homeschooling biblical bullshit. I think that's it. And now he doesn't know what's real and what's not real anymore. Yeah, maybe that's it.
