New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 5 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French, German, and Italian, with more titles releasing in the future.

From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire in a rom com).

She also writes romantic suspense as Meli Raine, sexy shifter romances as DJ Jennings, billionaire shifters as half of the author team Diana Seere, and co-authors with Elisa Reed.

She lives in New England with her husband and three children in a household where she is the only person with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.

OK confession time: I haven’t read any other book in this series. And now I feel like an idiot who missed out on some serious laughs but on the flip side I now have eight more books to add to my ever growing TBR list.

Because I didn’t read any other book in this series, I was dumped right into the morning after of what had to have been one epic night in Vegas. I was a lot confused but also a lot entertained and I’m not sure I would have wanted to read this book knowing who everyone was. It added to the insane air which permeated this entire book. Once I got caught up on all the details I lost myself again in the laughter and romance.

From Cheeto Coochie to homeopathic wine to cheesy one-liners and some serious foot-in-mouth moments this book was extremely entertaining and intensely hilarious. My advice would be just to pick this book up and go with all the craziness inside it. This will definitely go down as one of the funniest books I have ever had the pleasure of reading and also features one of the most charming and endearing heroes I have read about.

If you like quirky characters, hotness, hilarity and sweet romance – this book is most certainly for you!

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well, unless you get married. Even if you aren't quite sure who you married. Hilarious story!

5 Shopping for a CEO's Fiancée Stars

I enjoyed the heck out of this series. I had some wonderful laughs some sad moments some thoughtful moments but mostly the laughs.

I loved the first Andrew and Amanda book soooo much probably one of my most favorites if I am being honest… But this one.. yeah this one tops all of them I loved it. Everything comes together and the laughs oh lordy be!

I know Andrew is more of the serious fella but I love that he finds himself in these pickles and just takes it in stride. He doesn't really over think it he just has his people help him get out of the mess. Ha ha..

And no one could be more perfect for him than Amanda. She balances out his crazy. Even if she is a little nutty herself. ;)

I really enjoyed getting to know Declan and Andrews older brother, I would like to see a book with him in it next I think.

Omg the narration… Sebastian York I have said it before and I will say it again.. Grade A stuff right there.. And he even says Pam like a lot cause it’s a character.. Yeah it’s the small things don’t judge me. :p

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Much, much better that Amanda's and Andrew's first book, though not quite on par with Declan's and Shannon's novels.

The wooing was definitely one of the highlights of the story.

I laughed, I giggled & I enjoyed another hilarious story by Julia Kent. Waking up married & not remembering that you got married is something but not knowing who of the other 3 people with wedding bands on you're married to is something else. Andrew & Amanda are trying to figure out if they are married or not & how it is that they don't remember anything after Declan & Shannon's reception. There is one thing for sure though once they find out their marriage isn't real, Andrew makes up his mind that it will be very soon. The hilarious antics of Andrew & Amanda's courtship are many, but along with that we see Andrew grow from the scared for his life man into someone who realizes that he was given a gift twice. Once when his dying mother made Declan give him the epee pen when they were both stung by wasps & the second when he meets Amanda. What a great story this whole series has been. I hope that we get to see their wedding at some point. Definite recommend.

Andrew really needs to up his game, the boy has some really cheesy lines, “I’ve got something hot that’s about to spring on you.” I really don't think Andrew would be Andrew if he didn't have those corny one-liners:
“You’ve got quite some package, too,” she whispers, rubbing against me, hot breath on my ear.
“Want to unwrap it?”
I loved this book, it was entertaining and Andrew's corny lines kept you laughing.

Initially went into the book with the expectation that things wouldn't be as crazy for Amanda and Andrew as it was for Declan and Shannon, boy oh boy, how wrong I was. It wouldn't be a Julia Kent book if the characters have semi-peaceful lives.

Despite the craziness (mostly contributed by Shannon's mom), I loved Amanda and Andrew's story. They woke up one morning, in Vegas, potentially married to one of the three people in the same bed (well, there was a feline included but I think there's a law against that). Since this is entirely from Andrew's point of view, we never had an idea of how Amanda thought of this. Well, specifically, being married to Andrew. But we clearly know Andrew's feelings about it.

There's so many times I just burst into giggles at how bizarre things were going, and I enjoyed every single second of it. Amidst of the craziness, some of the characters had serious talks too. I liked the balance of serious and insanity in the book. I look forward to the rest of the books!

Oh my lord it has been a long time since I laughed so hard from the first page to the last. I can’t think of anything worse than waking up with 4 people in the room naked with wedding bands on and not know who, what or even if you are married. Even though they can’t seem to remember what happened last night others can remember very well, they even have video of each of their down fall. After the mess they have made of it I doubt they will be doing any drinking anytime soon.

Andrew is alpha all the way not knowing what he wants until he finds out he might not have it. Then goes overboard doing his best to keep it in this case it is Amanda as his wife who may or may not be his wife. It doesn’t help when the families add more fuel to the fire which adds some delightful fun to the read. I can’t think of anything more embarrassing then the whole family seeing you they way these couples are found the morning after. It is a story that sticks with you and keeps going through your mind all throughout the day making you laugh for no reason. My employees were just about ready to lock me up in the fun farm until I shared part of the story with them. I know a few of them have also since read and enjoyed this book.

It is nice to see the male lead the role on the chase almost on bended knees. Let’s not forget Amanda and the role she plays from the orange mess on her body to her love of cats keeps the reader very entertained. There is a lot of confusion between these two people as well as friends and family having a blast with the facts. Throw in two gay men who they may or may not be married to any of them and you have a free for all. I can’t remember the name of the one but he sure got his digs in on Andrew. Which left Andrew saying HELL TO THE NO I might not remember but I sure as Hell didn’t marry that. The guy just couldn’t let up at every turn he throws it back in Andrews face just what they might or might not have done.

Once we find out who is or isn’t married to whom or what there is still more humor as Andrew back peddles giving Amanda what HE THINKS she wants. Which is the norm for men he got it all wrong, with the hoops he jumps through there isn’t any doubt he is in love way over his head? Only a man in love could make such a fool of his self.

Mr. York narration is outstanding really bring the story to life. He puts so much emotion making you believe every word that is written. His insight to the character roles are wonderful as well as his performance. His male and female voices are a delight you always know who is talking and just what they are feeling. There are no background noises or any place where the volume changes from one chapter to the next. If any breaks were taken I could not tell. His character voice for Andrew is just what I thought it should be, powerful, lost and at times angry making you feels everything he does. He hits each emotion with the right tone from excitement to horror of the unknown. This is all done in a very natural way that pulls the listener in and making this a very believable read. I had no trouble at all picturing each scene unfolds just the way the author wanted it to be. Mr. York has a very pleasant voice that brings so much hooking the listener from the first page to the last. I didn’t want to put it down and found things to do so I could listen longer. I am so looking forward to listening to more of his work.

The author knows what it takes to bring laughter to her readers giving them a highly entertaining read that keeps them invest throughout the story. I loved the writing style it is always a pleasure when you pick up a book from a new author and getting a wonderful delightful read that really makes you laugh. This was well written you can tell the author put a lot of thought in to it. NOTE: If you are looking for a clean sweet read you won’t find it here. What the author does deliver is some very hot passionate scenes that really turn the heat up. You have to remember this is from a male’s point of view which means most of them think about and can’t get enough action. You get a wonderful plot that is believable with romance that is a little over the top. Add it all together it is an outstanding read/listen that I plan on reading again. I totally loved it.

Julia Kent has done it once again! This book picked up right where the previous book ended! This book finds everyone in Las Vegas partying after Shannon and Declan's wedding! We have 4 people waking up naked in a hotel room wearing wedding rings, no idea who was married to whom, a wookie and a cat peeing on a stuffed animal! I found myself laughing so hard that I was crying all within the first few pages of this new book! This book is about Andrew and Amanda but we do see all of the regular favorites ( Marie, Jason, Pam, James and Josh). This gave us insight on Andrew and why in the previous books he pushed Amanda away...it also shows us what he truly feels about his brothers (Declan and Terry), his father, his job, his mother's death and most of all Amanda! I found myself falling more in love with Andrew as I read more of this book...I didn't think that he would win a place in my heart but he did. Andrew pulled out all the stops to prove to Amanda he was worth loving...I will not give away any secrets because that would be just wrong! I can not wait for the next book in this series ...need to see where is adventure is going to take us! Thank you Julia Kent for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC copy of this book an allowed to post my honest opinion of the story! I already have it pre-ordered on my favorite vendor site to add it to my collection of your books!

I was given an ARC for an honest review. It's hard to write a review and not say the same things over and over again about this author. This book, as all her Shopping books (and every darned thing she writes), is brilliantly funny and quirky. Equal measures of zany antics, absolutely wonderful "I wish I could think of those that quickly" quips and comments, love, respect and enough hot moments to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth. I could NOT put the book down and look forward to the next book in the series. What I'd love to do is sit down with Julia, have a beer and find out where all these wonderful zany ideas come from because to the average person, the situations may seem over the top but for some reason I think all of us can relate to many of the issues facing her characters (well besides being billionaires lol).

This is the ninth book in an ongoing series. One must read the previous books or they'll be lost.

This is Andrew and Amanda's story, the second to focus on this couple. For the past few years they have been kissing in closets and sleeping together, but they've never been on a proper date. After waking up the morning after his brothers Vegas wedding wearing rings, but no memory of what happened, they set out to find out what happened, but it's not that simple, because the other occupants of the room, are also wearing rings.

The rest of the book is Andrew proving he loves and wants to marry Amanda for real, with some hilarious shenanigans. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much (probably when I read the previous book).

I hurt. My ribs ache. I can't catch my breath. I feel like I was the one running Vince's training course, not Andrew. All the books in this series are funny, but I don't remember laughing as hard during any of them as I have through this one. We've seen Amanda through Shannon's eyes so it was very interesting to see her from the perspective of the man who loves her. To see more of her heart. In previous books we've watched Andrew behave like quite the jerk. It was really a revelation to see the sensitive, poet's soul that he hides from the world. My heart bled for him so many times as he tried to create the perfect moment for a proposal. And all of those times when their words couldn't convey the right meanings to each shredded my emotions. In a lot of ways it felt like there wasn't much emotional middle-ground, swinging from delight to despair and back again. I almost felt like I should be crying through the whole book: half the time because I was laughing so hard and the rest of the time from Andrew's tragic miss-steps. The artistry and imagery of the words in this book are such that I can so easily imagine every one of these impossible situations happening right in front of me. I can't wait to see what this zany cast of characters gets up to next.

Julia Kent is one of my ONE CLICK Authors...I always buy her books and I have yet to read one that has not been a 5 star or greater read for me. This one was another hit. It was funny and had me yelling out loud at my kindle.
As with all of Julia Kent's books you know you are in for a wild ride and boy did Andrew, Amanda, Josh and Geordi go on one while in Vegas for Declan and Shannon's wedding...for sure. So wild in fact the four woke up with wedding rings and no one knows who is married to whom.

We get to know more folks in the life of Andrew...Vince his trainer and Gina his assistant. We really get to know Andrew more in this book than any of the other books and also we get to know Terry the oldest brother as well. And there is a bit of mystery thrown out there by Ms Kent to get us coming back for more and more (as if we would not be back for more of her books without it.)

Great book!! If you have not read the rest of the series I highly recommend the books!

I absolutely love Julia Kent's writing style. She has a mastery over the English language in how she expresses her self. Her descriptions of things and emotions leaves either emotionally choked up with feelings or laughter and everywhere in between. Us readers finally get our story of Andrew McCormick, CEO of Andertec, and little brother to Shannon's Declan. Andrew's relationship with Amanda Warrick was introduced to us in previous books involving Shannon and Declan. This book starts off after the wedding of Shannon and Declan. Andrew finally learns to embrace life and not hide behind his CEO talent not willing to take a chance on love and all it offers. Amanda patiently waits allowing a true relationship to evolve despite Andrew's hang ups. My favourite part is this quote, "... you're my person. You're my soul mate. I don't want anyone else but you. And every minute I'm not married to you is like dying a slow, suffocating heart death." JULIA KENT YOU ARE BRILLANT!

Found the story to be difficult continue after the initial mystery (the reason I wanted to read the book) had been cleared up. I also found the multiple comparative statements to help describe thoughts, facial expressions, and actions of other characters to be unsettling. I don’t know if those were supposed to be done to be funny or not. If it was, I didn’t find it humorous.

After learning the hero’s issue and his greatest desire, I found any moment that didn’t lead to him acting on his “revelation” to be annoying. I don’t believe I would’ve finished this book had I not been obligated to do so for my blog.

The story has previously received high marks. I’m sorry to say I’m not one of those people. I wanted to enjoy it. I wanted to love it. This one wasn’t one of my favorites.

This audiobook pleasantly surprised me. I liked this a lot more than I expected. I thought that it would be a fun love story, and it was, but there was also so much more. I was literally smiling the whole time that I was listening to it, and I’m pretty some people looked at me weirdly while I was grinning like crazy. I couldn’t believe some of the troubles the characters got themselves into, and it was completely hilarious. The romantic part of the story made me swoon, and I just really enjoyed listening to the characters’ antics. It won’t be anything like what you would normally expect! Sebastian York did a great job with the narration as usual. If you’re looking for a romantic comedy that will entertain you from beginning to end, you won’t go wrong with this one!

Shopping from Andrew's POV - Absolutely Fantastic - Must Read!!

This book series is by far my favorite!
This book is from Andrew's POV and it is so refreshing to get another POV of all the hilarity & craziness that ensues throughout this entire series. This book takes off right where the last book ended with a huge cliffhanger as to who Andrew, Amanda, Josh & Geordie are married to. There are so many scenes in this book that will have you in true Julia fashion....laughing so hard you'll cry, googling stuff you think can't possible be real (but totally is) & even tearing up on occasions. This book has a slightly different tone to it, but absolutely a fantastic book. I can't wait until Julia releases the Audible for this one!

Another hit! I love this world of the shopping series!

I have been following the Shopping series since the beginning. What a great romance comedy series and an impressive author. I fly through all the books, that I anxiously awaiting the next one. With each edition my tummy aches from laughing so hard, and I wouldn't be surprised if I snorted, too. I tell you I was rolling in laughter in this book! I love Amanda and Andrew's story... including what happens in Vegas, but does it stay in Vegas?

This book was fabulous & intense😘

It started right off where the previous one ended.
It had been 5 days since Shannon & Declan ran from their wedding & come to vegas. On the same day, Amanda-Andrew reunited & are fucking like rabbits since.

Though now they are wearing rings, Josh & rainbow-haired are also wearing rings. What happened last night after Shannon-Dec's wedding?
The searching for truth was fun & we get to know that Pam & James knew they weren't married, this fiasco happened because of Luq's entheogenic wine.

Back to Boston, though Amanda's relieved that they aren't married, Andrew's anxious, he realises that she's it & he wants to spend the rest of his life with her.

Andrew's past with Jessica is revealed.

As they haven't dated long enough to think about moving in, Amanda wants Andrew to ‘court’ her (though she really wants him to woo her), this leads to a disaster of pride-&-prejudice reenactment & Andrew loses his proposal ring😥..
Turdmobile comes to the rescue (very funny scene😂)..

Andrew is trying to travel in sunlight. To go out more & overcome his fear of wasps.

“13 years were enough to torture myself, now is time to live the life my mother sacrificed for & Declan saved”

Andrew & Amanda got the proposal they deserved, with a family audience. The start of a lifetime of love & Fun😍

*The epilogue was funny 😂*

FANTASTIC BOOK!!!

What a funny, endearing, lovely book! The love story of Andrew and Amanda is so beautifully written you can just picture it all happening in real life in front of you!!! Sometimes you come across a book that is a perfect blend... This story for me was one of those books! The humor alone in this book is so entertaining... I laughed and laughed and smiled and felt so happy to have come across this author 😁 The back story of Andrew and his family is very moving..... Although the books in this series are essentially billed as romantic comedies, which they certainly are, there is also profound insights scattered throughout the book that had me considering many things and pondering life issues that we all face in one way or another. Absolutely one of the best books ever for me!!!!!!

This is the best book in this series. I absolutely LOVED it. I listened to this on audio and Sebastian York is the best. It was great to see how Andrew thinks. He's such a strong guy, I can see how he's a CEO. It's wonderful how much he loves Amanda and you can see it as he figures our his feelings for her. This book was also hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud; there were some really fun scenes. I love it when this author writes in the men's point of view. There's less monologue in the head and when there are, they are more decisive and less scattered/random. I really like his relationship with Amanda. Almost every scene in this book had good purpose and was very enjoyable and fun. I highly recommend this book and of the entire series so far, I can see me reading this one again.

To anyone who loved the film The Hangover, well, this is a bit similar, but better. It starts out after a crazy night where no one remembers who did what, who brought in the menagerie of animals into the hotel room & who is married to who (there are 4 people, all with wedding rings - & no one remembers anything).

I think one of my favorite lines (which won't give away anything - no worries) is as follows... "Amanda's screaming my name and - is that cop putting handcuffs on her? I'm the only one who's supposed to do that."

It is really, really funny & well written. It's written from Andrew's point of view, which is really interesting. I loved it.

It's also educational, about insect castration, octopus mating rituals... Add to this Andrew's "courting" of Amanda, & it's quite a story...

I love the series but I feel this story or plot line is going on a really long time. It doesn't seem to be as funny as they were in the beginning. Don't get me wrong it's good, I read the book in two days. I have to keep reading it but I feel it's being drawn out instead of the quick stories how it started. Like the Author is trying to drag it out for more books. It's a lot of filler.

I feel like these last couple of books could have been one story with a lot of the fluff cut out of it. The series is starting to get boring.

Also the guy who recorded this book was not as good as the first guy who recorded the first CEO book.

I'm hoping the series gets better but we are 9 books into this series and I think there are 8 left. Not sure if I will be able to finish the series if they don't pick up.

Shopping for a CEO's Fiancé is book #9 in the Shopping For A Billionaire series. It was my first book by this author. It starts out with a whole cast of characters waking up in a Vegas hotel room wearing wedding rings but missing some important memories of the night before.

The book is fun and funny. I could tell that I really missed out on a lot in not reading the previous stories in this series and I think I will have to soon rectify that situation!

I listened to the audiobook of this story expertly narrated by Sebastian York and loved it. He has the best voice and definitely made me swoon and fall in love with Andrew.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I love listening to these books. The author is so entertaining. She has quick wit and a great sense of humor. The other books by Julia Kent have been narrated by a woman. This one was by a man. He does a great job. Wasn't sure I would like it, but he does each character wonderfully. Each book seems to be a standalone, except that each of the characters are mentioned in her other books. She does give a bit of background throughout that is helpful, since it was been a while since I listed to the last book. Julia Kent's books are so entertaining. She is a delightful author.

After his brother's Vegas wedding reception, youngest brother Andrew wakes up in bed with his girlfriend Amanda and they're both wearing wedding rings. But so are Josh, her co-worker and Geordi, his chauffeur. And why are they all in the same room?

This sets the stage for another knockout rom-com from Julia Kent. Honestly, I don't know how she keeps getting funnier and funnier. The writing is crazy, but romantic. Lots of quirky situations with plenty of emotional elements as well. Andrew trying to "court" Amanda is hilarious. This one is told from Andrew's point of view and the narration by Sebastian York could not be better!
