Kirsten Lynn writes stories based on the people and history of the West, more specifically those who live and love in Wyoming and Montana. Using her MA in Naval History, Kirsten, weaves her love of the West and the military together in many of her stories, merging these two halves of her heart. When she's not roping, riding and rabble-rousing with the cowboys and cowgirls who reside in her endless imagination, Kirsten works as a professional historian.

Thank you for joining Susan Stoker's Kindle World for Special Forces: Operation Alpha. I tremendously enjoyed this book by Kirsten Lynn. She is a new author that I will definitely be following. Love the strong heroines in this book. Love this story about hotshots and fire jumpers. Will be reading about the rest of the team.
Jessie and Dirk are back in this book. Two years ago Jessie almost died in a fire because of a fire bug. Dirk as invited a seal and a delta force and their wives for a visit. They think a copy cat is starting fires again. Things get iffy when the women are kidnapped and the guys have to find them. Action and terror all rolled into one. HEA
Jessie and Dirk had been together for awhile. Jessie was even going to return to her job as a fire jumper. Dirk wasn't happy about it, but was going along with her. When they had guests at her inn the girls decided to go on a jump. Now they were at the mercy of the two arsonists. Can Dirk and his friends get to the women before they burn?
I liked this book and with the added characters from Susan's books makes it perfect. I haven't read about Jessie and Dirk, so I guess I should have, to get some of the background on them. There are a lot of affirmatives in the story, very much a military crew. Good strong females with their male counterparts to 'have their backs'. It was surprising that Harley jumped out of a plane again, but glad she did it.
Thanks that's a really great story, beautiful place and really well described the two couples from Susan Stoker I loved Coach and Harley when first I met them and Cookie and Fiona are the myth couple of forever. Jessy has nothing less than Caroline she is another Ice in the fire and Dick Dick can't be Wolf but a special forces is always a special forces. Read it once and twice really think I could have a third. Really loved the burning emotions along all the story! Kristen Lynn few are the stories that left you with the I WANT MORE IN THE MOUTH, THAT's one of them...
Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Joining Forces for Jessie
With all these authors who use characters from another author's characters I something I love to read. Because you have more books to get and read the other characters awesome.
Didn't like all the affirms and copies between the main couple. It seemed a bit forced and broke up the pace of the book. Plus it was a continuation of another series so I felt a bit lost. Find the first few books in the Marine Raiders series and read them first, then this one. It might help.
The characters that I choose the book for were very much in the background which made the story less enjoyable. Overall the pace was slow and read very military, not much of a romance novel. I don't care how many sex scenes there are, sex isn't romance.
I really enjoyed this book! It's a quick read with laughter, real love, suspense and lots of military lingo. Loved the plotline just wished the bad people got it a little worse then what book leads you to believe happens. Plus it's always awesome to see characters visiting from Susan Stoker's book!
After reading this one you'll also want to get your hands on Kirsten Lynn's 4 Marines for History series! It's going to be great!
This was a well written addition to this Kindle World. This was the second time I read this story it was worth reading and enjoying again. The storyline is detailed. The characters are complex and likeable.
Good combination; smokejumpers, military men and romance. Enjoyed characters and plot. Relationship between lead subjects was terrific.. worth the time.
The books is a tension filled book about smoke jumpers, hot shots, revenge and one hell of a love story. Kirsten Lynn definitely keeps her reader enthralled from beginning to end. The main characters Jessie and Dirk are the best couple...they have worked hard for their relationship and they so deserve their HEA ending. The secondary characters are well developed and combine Marine, Navy and Delta Force families and work well within the story. I love the shared family feeling and loyalty these characters have within the family they have created. Sometimes the family we make and pick is much better than the family we were born with. The story has all the right elements to hold a readers interest and I read it in one sitting.
