Javiera Samuels was no ordinary teenager. At the age of ten years old, she was sent to California to live with her father, Jarvis Samuels, also known as Supreme. Being raised by Supreme was no easy experience, she was put through many tests and trainings that men twice her age, would have trouble passing, teaching her how protect and provide for herself. When Jarvis leaves without a trace, he leaves Javiera specific instructions leading her back to Atlanta, with her mother. Javiera, being home schooled all her life, has had limited contact with the outside world, until she meets Rotimi. Rotimi II, taking over his father’s company, inherited all the respect from being his father’s namesake. Along with that respect, Rotimi II inherited a special mission from his father, looking for, and killing the guy that knows his biggest secret. After Rotimi II, meets and starts falling for Javiera, he is placed on a mission, to find Supreme. Not knowing that the key to finding Supreme was closer than he thought. What do you do when the one you are falling for is also the enemy? When all is revealed, will Javiera, and Rotimi, be able to move past this deceit, and have the relationship that they were never supposed to have?
Well, MS. Bianca, although this was a little bit too childish, too basic, too predictable, and to much trying to be gangster. Although, this was a nice read, I think it could have been better. Javiera didn't need to be so gangster. She was missing being a woman in the whole book. I am not a feminist by far, but I do believe a woman would be stronger if while she is badass, she needs to go to school get her education because a woman is more of a multitask er than a man. Javiera should not be in all of the situation that she got herself in. Ro, on the other end was all that and more.. Man alpha much with the sweetest side teddy bear side... Although I have read better from this author, it's still wasn't that bad!!
Another great story that brings the lives of urban people to life. I truly enjoyed reading this story about the crossroads of love and war. This time they were able to have both and still be together. I am loving the Javie, character. Her strength inspires all. Good job Bianca
This book is amazing and I couldn’t stop turning the pages. It had so many twist and turns. I love a book that isn’t predictable and I definitely didn’t see a lot of stuff coming. I love Javie and Tax relationship. They are the definition of lovers and friends. Great read!
Bianca is becoming one of my favorite urban contemporary writers. I like the different approaches she makes to stories about our people. I love how Tax came from the streets but she didn’t limit him to just that. I also loved how despite how hard Javie was made to be, she showed how soft and loving she really was. Their story was beautiful.
This was a cool story the main characters were crazy and funny. Javiera the daughter of a Hustla meets and becomes smitten for Rotimi the son of a huatla. The two keep meeting and then become acquainted only to realize they have more in common that they knew. It's was dope that at 17 Javie was as lethal as she is but you'll see just read the book. Happy reading
I read this book in just a few hours because I could not put it down. It was interesting from beginning to end. I love that the female in this story was not weak. She stood up for herself and do not play games. Rotimi and Javi were definitely made for each other.
OMG Bianca that was a good book. I agree Ro was a b**tch made nigga. He had his son looking for a man under false pretext instead of telling him the truth from the start, the real reason he wanted Supreme.
This was a great standalone..The storyline was on point...Characters was very detailed...I love how them two never gave up the love they had for each other even tho their parents was beefing..Great book would definitely recommend!!!
Another great read by Bianca that doesn't disappoint. I really enjoyed reading this book and had me interested from the very first past. I loved Javie and Rotimi relationship. Through all the drama and revelations everyone got their happy ending.
Well this standalone was so good that I couldn't put it down. Love is a powerful emotion. You need to read this book if you looking for a hot sexy drama filled read.
I chose this rating because Ms.Bianca has another banger I'm so glad it ended in one book..I've read multiple books by her and haven't been disappointed yet..
I loveedd this book!! I would love to see them all come back and get into some type drug war with javie banging with supreme tax and swaylo!! Hmmmm that would be DOPE!! LOL
I was a little disappointed in this read because I have read her other books and they were really good. The ending is what disappointed me the most. It could have been a lot better, but other than that it was a fair read to me.
This book was a great love story that teaches you a lesson about trust. The lesson I learned is your enemy can be the only person you can trust, and just because they are your family doesn't mean you can trust them and or they have your back. Greed and power can destroy a family, and this book showed me that. Cane was a snake in the grass who wanted power handed to him instead of working from the bottom up to earn it. A person like that don't need power handed to him; he wouldn't know what to do with it; he'd use it for bad. Supreme was to lenient with Rotimi about his daughter. I would have had to kick his a$$ first before I gave him permission to date my daughter. I guess MP didn't believe in fat meat greasy because he kept on messing with Javiera. Then he decided to choke her......and that's why he choked on that tree. This was a 5 star read for me. It had me wondering all the way through about when the other shoe is going to be dropped.
This book was so good, crazy, and drama filled. Like Rotimi Sr. how are you going to start a war with someone who put you on in the first place and taught you everything that you know? Those who fail to plan effectively plan to fail which Rotimi Sr. and Cane did because their so-called plan was flawed from the beginning. I loved how Supreme trained Javiera to be a straight savage and she didn't play any games with anyone nor tolerate disrespect from anyone. I liked Rotimi Jr. and Javiera together despite their age difference and how he wouldn't allow anyone to bring harm to her regardless of who her father was nor her crazy actions. Poor MJ should've known better from what happened after the movies. It's funny how King Supreme was playing chess with Rotimi Sr. and Cane while they were playing checkers and Rotimi Sr. got checkmated while Cane lost his life. I like how everything worked out in the end and how Rotimi Jr. and Javiera named their son Swaylo's real name.
I really enjoyed the book. Javie was such hard shell to crack due to her father raising her but it help her when it came to certain things she faced. Her and Ro are so cute together they balanced each other out. With javie thinking her father is dead /in hiding she trust no one making it hard for Ro to get close to her but he finally does only for it to be snatched away once his father involved him in trying to take down her dad and her finding out. Once Ro fidz out the real reason. His father wants supreme dead he has no problem siding against him and getting back with javie. The book had many twist and kept me interested from beginning to end, and I strongly recommended it!
I’m so disappointed in Javie. I hated that she let her emotions rule her in the end like that. Also, the ending was so unbelievable. No man, especially one with an ego like Rotimi would have taken Javie back after all that she did. You can always tell when the author is a woman because we always emasculate the man. 99% of men would have just counted that one as a lost and moved on. I’m not even a man and I would have moved on if someone had of played me the same way that Javie played him.
This was a great standalone. Ms. Bianca never disappoints. The chemistry between the 2 characters was great. I knew that Rotimi father was foul and he the same money he wanted caused him everything in the end. Supreme was a true boss and he loved his daughter. That twist with Mona and Miles was a shocker.
This book was A M A Z I N GGGGGGG! There was never a dull moment when reading it! I absolutely loved the relationship she had with her dad! And that ROTIMI..... lord hamercey! I kinda wish this was a series (it was that good)
