I had psoriasis on the back of my head for a number of years with varying degrees of discomfort. Then I read this book and changed my diet, along with writing 15 times a day: My scalp is healing from psoriasis. It took about a year or so. (I cheated a lot in the beginning.) Even though it's gone, I stay on the diet, so it won't come back, and it's no problem as I've lost my taste for a lot of things.

Limited Scope, Limited Understanding of Healthy Eating, Limited Creativity in Recipes

The best part of the book is the beginning where the author gives a passable and understandable description of alkaline diets. The recipes are basically the the same. She could have provided one for each section with variations. I was dismayed at the persistent, unnecessary use of added sugar. One had better like cashews. No mention of fermented foods and their role. No mention of microbiome and it's role in alkalinity. No mention of ratio of macros and how that affects alkalinity.
