Elena Paige is a children's and teen author with a background in counselling psychology. She loves creating stories which inspire and transform young readers - either through empowering them, entertaining them, or encouraging them to be more creative and imaginative.

Her books, while being filled with magic and wonder, have real life characters with real life issues - like fitting in, trusting yourself, dealing with inner conflict and more!

Her greatest value in life is CREATIVITY - nurturing it, enhancing it and using it! She loves encouraging children to believe in themselves and accept their own way of creating, even if it's outside the box. The most amazing creatives of our time rarely fitted in!

Her absolute favorite book as a child was "No Flying in the House." She always knew magic was real, but when all attempts to bring her favorite teddy to life failed, she adopted a dog instead. Her Moodle dog, named Lucky, is always by her side when she writes.

On Sunday mornings you can find her hiding under her bed covers reading, while her children are wondering where their favorite book has disappeared.

This book is full of happy poems with each poem accompanied by a cute illustration.
As a teacher, rhyming books are great for word building and learning spelling patterns, but they are also so much more. Poetry opens up a different way for children to express themselves. I believe poems influence a child’s wonderment. I really enjoyed the happy poems in this book and know young readers will too. There are many poems that can lead into interesting and imaginative discussions. I look forward to hearing children's thinking after reading these poems.

Short and modernist.

Colour illustrations. Easy font to read. Teaches kids to meditate and to follow their hearts. Playing electronic games is okay if you like them because you must follow your heart and ignore Dad's sage advice.

Simple but spot on.

You will love the rhyming poems in this book about managing your emotions. The illustrations complement each poem nicely. Great for the older child around age 5 or 6.

Positively sweet!

One of my favorite quote from the book is. " Besides I’m a kid and we all make mistakes.". I think its so fitting for not just kids but adults. It's a reminder that we are all human. I loved the pictures again of course! They have such a wonderful textured with the art medium that was chosen for a digital book. This is another quick read but so sweet and encourages others to do better and be themselves. A great book for anyone!

This is a book of kid size poems, defining kid sized thoughts, illustrated by terrific, quirky, crunchy water colors. The rhyming stanzas are easy for kids to read and to understand. They cover simple thoughts from waking up to telling the truth to simply going outside to play. I believe it is a wonderful start to the three book cycle.
