This was a short and sweet--and well written--office romance with a bit of BDSM thrown in.
I listened to this and let me tell you that I LOVED the narration. LOVED IT.
You meet Brooklyn and you learn she has a small crush on a guy in the office, but she's also exploring her submissive side with someone she found online. She loves exploring and living this side of her life with her Sir, but what about the cute guy at work?
And really, what about the creeper at work?

So I took a chance on this book because it was a holiday themed BDSM book. I enjoyed the beginning of the story and how Brooklyn was looking to explore her sexuality. The phone conversations with her and "Sir" were pretty hot. I had a feeling who "Sir" was all along and I was right. My main issue with the book was that we didn't have enough time with Brooklyn and "Sir" once they finally do meet. The ending felt a little rushed but overall I did enjoy the story.

Short and steamy, this book grabs your interest from the first scene and doesn't let go! The journey that Brooklyn takes getting to know herself with her online master is fun, sexy and flirty. It is fun to see Brooklyn expand through her own sexual awareness and how Sir brings out the submissive in her even though they had not met in person. Add in a stalking co-worker and Baxter, her office fantasy and star in her dreams and you have a combination that is hot! I love that this book, although an erotic listen also encompasses some suspense and gallantry. Kudos to R.E. Hargrave for giving us great entertainment!
Give me the team of Ruby Rivers & La Petite Mort any day to listen to. Their voices compliment each other so well, and their timing is spot on with their duet narrations. Perfect for any book.

Audible and book review: La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers
Wow! This was my second audiobook narrated by this incredible duo and they are awesome! The sizzle feels so real in their voices.
This story was a quick steamy, naughty little tale that was perfect for a short break between longer reads. Brooklyn has met Sir on a website and he has been dominating her for the last six months. However, he now wants to take things to the next level but she is uncertain. While trying to decide, she is pursued by a Secret Santa and fighting her own reaction to a man at her place of work. She is suddenly thrust from one lonely life into a life consumed with three men.
My second, and favorite, by this author.

This book was a fun and sexy holiday read. I loved how Brooklyn discovered and took charge of her curiosity in regard to BDSM. The meeting and build-up of the intimacy between Sir and Brooklyn was spot on, and the instructions that Sir gave her and she completed each day were hot and kinky. I also liked the added mystery of her Secret Santa, even though I had that one figured out from the beginning. The only issue I had with the story was that the ending and time that we got of the physical relationship once Sir's identity was revealed was too short. We only get a glimpse of their first time together. I was sad to see there were only a few minutes left of the audio since I was hoping to witness more of what Brooklyn craved and her complete submission to Sir.
This was my first audio book, and I have to say it was enjoyable. The narrators were good but took getting used to. While I liked the sound of their voices, their inflections weren't always what I would have heard in my head, and I found the slowness of their words at times irritating. I was pleased that both voices were given, especially when Sir was delivering his instructions. I was also unable to be as engrossed in the story as I would have been if reading. Therefore, I didn't feel connected to the characters or like I was part of their world. A great kinky read. Brooklyn is learning about herself and is searching for the right guy to help her. She meets Sir on a website and they hit it off. After 6 month's they still haven't met face to face. Brooklyn starts receiving gifts at work and is trying to narrow down who is sending them. Will Brooklyn meet the right guy for her??? You gotta read Brooklyn Blues to find out ;)

Nothing like reading a little wintry something to help keep you cool on these hot July days. I'm a big fan of R.E. Hargrave's work and this didn't disappoint. It was a short and sweet read about an office romance with some BDSM thrown into the mix. I had the pleasure of being able to listen to this on audible and I just loved the narration. I really like this story and hope that there is more to come.

4 Crazy Ass Stars!!!
I listened to this recently after it was gifted to me. I enjoyed the narrators for the most part. I did find the female narrator to be a tad annoying with certain characters. Specifically, Brooklyn's boss Barbara. The voice change was distracting and annoyed me. Otherwise, she did a great job. The male narrator was great. I loved his smooth, rich voice.
I loved the storyline. It had just enough to keep me listening. I surprised at one point when things got a bit intense. I was not expecting that to happen.
I did have my suspicions of who "Sir" was and I was correct but I loved how that revelation played out.
This was a quick, sexy read that has me wanting to read more from R.E. Hargrave.

I loved listening to this book and holy hotness. By day Brooklyn is the perfect employee but at night her kinky side comes out to her Sir. This book had a great amount of tension and build up with a little twist/turn built into it. I think the narrators did a great job bringing this story to life and bringing dimension to the character. I loved how Brooklyn was discovering her true tastes and it was done in a fun way.

A Kinky Christmas. I've reviewed this for United Indie Book Blog. I had the audio version of this book. This is a quick, hot, and sexy story. Another awesome read from RE Hargrave. The story had just the right balance of intrigue, spice, and drama. I enjoyed it a lot! This is about Brooklyn's journey of discovery. Brooklyn meets Sir on a website and they hit it off. even after 6 month's they still haven't met face to face. This author sure has a way of bringing on the best stories in kink I've read. Keep up the awesome work. I can't wait to read or listen to your next book. I highly recommend reading R.E. Hargrave books.

More of Brooklyn and Kevin. More of La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers. More of this story!! The way Brooklyn opens up to Sir behind a screen is very much how today works. Brave behind the screen but not face to face. Sir is patient and kind. Both of them discover each other and things about themselves through the foreplay before they are face to face. There was so much relatable feelings, insecurities and fun that this is one you will not stop listening.
La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers are the perfect pair for this story. La Petite Mort's baritone voice makes Sir's commands even stronger. But then it also makes Sir that much kinder. It is easy to get wrapped up into the story with such a deep voice and then Ruby Rivers soothing voice. Ruby Rivers is a sweet and timid Brooklyn. Ms. Rivers is a wonderful narrator who can capture the character's emotions and thoughts perfectly. She made Brooklyn sound exactly as I would have imagined her.

This was so much more than I was expecting, with lots of tension, suspense, and even some action - and some plot twists that I did not see coming! It was wildly entertaining and it made my afternoon fly by as I listened. The narrators did a good job of depicting the characters and the story is fresh and original - which is difficult to find. 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

I’ll happily admit that the audio book cover sucked me right in. I found it eye-catching and while the dom/sub/bdsm world do nothing for me, I thought I would give this a go based on the cover alone.
This novella/short story provides the right amount of detail as we journey with Brooklyn along the road to becoming a sub. What I liked about Brooklyn is that she is secure enough in herself to know what she wants. She’s just uncertain about how to get it.
Much of the book is about Brooklyn and her entry into this new world. There is a mystery man on the sidelines that helps her navigate this new world. But how can she use that knowledge to interest one of her work colleagues who she’s got a secret crush on?
This was probably the limit to the amount of kink I would tolerate in a book. While I am not interested in reading more on this topic, I can appreciate the story in its own right. An overall enjoyable story set during the lead-up to Christmas and the holidays.

Okay... I dont know where to start with this wonderful book... I mean WoW. Just simply WoW.
From the beginning it was a little bit hard to get into, A little bit due to the formatting in the book but I got an ARC so that did probably mess it up a little bit. Also the prolouge is a short summary to what has happened to Brooklyn and takes us into the story. But when we finally came into the story I got really hot and sexy.
This is a BDSM book mostly Slave/Master but it is done tasteful and erotic and not over the top. Everything that is going on in the book is things that is going on in real life for people like this even if Brooklyn was a bit naive and did everything her master said without knowing anything about him, how he was or even his look, but it also made the story very interesting. Specially when we found out who it was.
This story is mind blowing and I read it in ONE sitting. It is a shorter novella but it dont have to be more or longer. I even thought at the end, that it maybe was a little bit too long. There is a confrontation or a trouble happening, a twist so to say and you find them in all books and movies, when everything turns up side down. This wasn't necessary in this book because there where so much going on anyway. it is good but I could have read it without that and maybe given it 6 starts our of 5.

This is actually the sweetest bdsm story I've ever read. Brooklyn has a fascination with the dom/sub world. After "accidentally" stumbling on this online, she investigates it further. She is completely intrigued by this lifestyle but she also has a huge crush on a co-worker, William.
Brooklyn has a hard time reconciling the two things. That being her online secret obsessions and her at work heartthrob. But it really doesn't matter, not really, because William doesn't know she's alive, much less interested in her.
I recommend this short bdsm Christmas tale for those who like a little naughty with their nice.

I often read books of this genre and when I came across Brooklyn Blues I was intrigued. It's a longer book than most I've read of this genre, but it has a great pace and interesting plot.
Brooklyn is tired of the boring dating world, and one day comes across some sites that spike her interest. When she gets home, she starts research but ends up jumping right into the world of Doms and Subs.
Sir, finds her and they hit it off really well, So well in fact, they are 'together' six months later. Her doing his demands on webcam but his camera of off.
It's a really good book and the flow is steady. It's hot and sexy, feeding into the minds of readers that want to dare to try something different.
There is one spot that doesn't really work for me, it kind of feels forced in a way. I can't say what spot without giving spoilers, but I feel like the build up to this scene should have been more eventful or even just more build up would make it a smoother fit.
While that scene doesn't feel right to me, the climax (no pun intended.....maybe) of the scene was pretty good, but I would have enjoyed a bit of story of the between time,

From the very beginning, Brooklyn tests the waters of the BDSM world with Sir, a dom she meets in a chat room, but hasn't met in person. Despite liking and being sexually attracted to Sir, she's also drawn to a coworker who doesn't seem to know she exist. As she explores her sexuality and allows Sir to push her limits, she begins to receive mysterious gifts. Are the gifts a way for Sir to finally convince her they should meet? Or is she in for an bigger surprise?
Despite being a short story R. E. Hargrave writes a story that is well paced, perfectly developed, and with characters that draw you in. Filled with sexy kink, suspense, and fantastic touches of humor, Brooklyn Blues is an original and tantalizing read.
Narration by Ruby Rivers as Brooklyn is spot on! She's sexy and endearing in just the right measure. La Petite Mort's performance is so good as the voice of Sir. He's commanding and tempting and I'd be willing to do whatever he commanded. The chemistry between both narrators is also great and shows throughout their performance. Get this audiobook and have yourself a merry little Kink-mas.

Despite being a short story R. E. Hargrave writes a story that is well paced, perfectly developed, and with characters that draw you in. Filled with sexy kink, suspense, and fantastic touches of humor, Brooklyn Blues is an original and tantalizing read.
Narration by Ruby Rivers as Brooklyn is spot on! She's sexy and endearing in just the right measure. La Petite Mort's performance is so good as the voice of Sir. He's commanding and tempting and I'd be willing to do whatever he commanded. The chemistry between both narrators is also great and shows throughout their performance. Get this audiobook and have yourself a merry little Kink-mas.

Brooklyn Crenshaw has a secret crush on William K Baxter who works in IT and has his office right across from Brooklyn's cubicle. Only he doesn't seem to know that Brooklyn exists and she is pretty sure that her kinky and submissive pastimes would probably scare him off.
When Brooklyn meets a new "sir" online she has no idea what he looks like but looks forward to their nighttime interactions on-line. Brooklyn is unsure if meeting her "sir" is a good idea but when she starts getting gifts at work she is wondering if someone else knows the secrets that she is hiding.
But could it lead to Brooklyn being way over her head with the wrong guy?
This was a fun read. The book was definitely for 18+ and had some fun, kinky moments but all the scenes involved Brooklyn doing what her sir asked her to do.
I give Brooklyn credit though as there is no way I could handle everything that he made her do, especially while at the office. I figured out right away who sir was and it made everything make much more sense and made me laugh at all the moments where it was evident how uncomfortable Brooklyn was.

The narration worked really well, the character voices were convincing the and delivery was excellent.
I enjoyed the story, the chemistry between Brooklyn and her 'Sir' was really hot and I enjoyed the mystery of who Sir was although I had figured it out well before the reveal. I was disappointed that there wasn't more to the story after Brooklyn and her master meet, I feel like that element was left unexplored.
It was an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours.

Audio version.
Wow, I asked for this thinking there would be spanking in it, it is mentioned but there is no spanking. That said I really enjoyed this. It's a lot of fun.
The narration is superb. The narrators brings it to life.

This is actually the sweetest bdsm story I've ever read. Brooklyn has a fascination with the dom/sub world. After "accidentally" stumbling on this online, she investigates it further. She is completely intrigued by this lifestyle but she also has a huge crush on a co-worker, William.
Brooklyn has a hard time reconciling the two things. That being her online secret obsessions and her at work heartthrob. But it really doesn't matter, not really, because William doesn't know she's alive, much less interested in her.
I recommend this short bdsm Christmas tale for those who like a little naughty with their nice.

The perfect recipe for some holiday fun. A healthy dose of charm, a sprinkle of laughter and heaping handful of kink. Brooklyn stumbles upon a very NSFW website while at work. She is intrigued by what she sees and pursues the subject further when she gets home. Soon she finds herself in an relationship with someone she has never met, all the while lusting after her co-worker. I love that while she lets herself be adventurous she also adds caution to her decisions. As her work party approaches, she has to decide if meeting Sir in person is what is best for her. Brooklyn Blues is a delightful afternoon read sure to put you in the mood for a naughty holiday.

Hot & Erotic Short-Story Listen. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. This audiobook was my first experience with R.E. Hargrave's work. It was a fun, flirty, hot and erotic short-story listen. It was perfect for shorter listen and held my interest. I couldn't stop because I wanted to figure out who the mystery "Master" was. This was my 2nd experience with the narrating duo of Ruby Rivers & La Petite Mort who did an excellent and engaging performance. I will be sure to look for more of their work when purchasing audiobooks. I highly recommend this audiobook.

This was a sexy short read about a fantasy come true for a business woman testing the waters of bdsm online not knowing until later it is someone she knows and has had a crush on for quite some time. I enjoyed it. I listened to the audio book along with it as well. Great narration bringing life to the story!
