What a wild ride! Love the old school (well it was new school when it was written) world building, the characters who are simultaneously lovable and frustrating all at once! For any new epic fantasy readers, its a great place to start.

I will say I dont appreciate that every woman this triology is described has to be "beautiful", but if you look past that, it's a great read.

Magician was my first paranormal fantasy read. I fell in love instantly and the rest as they say is history. I have each and every book in this series and they are so old the pages are yellow but that doesn't stop me from re reading them all the time.

Raymond E Feist is an author like no other.

Do yourself a favour and get stuck into this series now. You will love the many other characters.

I liked the story, but there were a few times when the art didn't seem to match what was happening in the story.

I want to read the actual series, but after reading some concerning reviews and reading this graphic novel, I’m not too sure I will. There are some things I enjoy about this first volume like the overall plot and the artwork (changing art styles throughout doesn’t bother me), but the writing is pretty horrible. Some of the dialogue is choppy and the illustrated comic doesn’t help support the events. I’m hoping that because this is an adaptation, the original text is much better written. I’m continuing to Volume 2 hesitantly and perhaps someday I’ll read the original books.

Love the story, have read the novel, sadly for me the jarring switch of art style half way through ruins this particular one for me.

Spacetime traveling pirates!? Pretty good. I prefer non fiction but this was good and I would recommend it. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

It was just OK for me. I don't think I'm going to run out and read the rest of the series, or re-read the original books.

I really liked this one. There was quite a bit of humor in it, as well as a great story. However, I must say that I prefer the art style of the first illustrator over the second.
