"A child wakes up in a ditch, alone and without memory of who he is or where he comes from. Orian grows up in a world that is strange and overwhelming to him, in a body which seems unfamiliar and with a mind unable to find peace. His search for answers sends him on a journey beyond time and space, to a land of monsters and men, magical beings and dark secrets. While his memory slowly returns, he begins to understand that the fate of the kingdom of Emineo is tightly connected to his own - and to the mysterious Dream Wathcers."
I'm really sorry to say I'm DNFing this book. I know and respect the author, and so I've given it multiple chances, but it wasn't for me. The writing reminds me of Tolkien, and I wasn't a big fan of his works, but pushed through THE LORDS OF THE RINGS—trilogy as ot was so well known. I don't feel the need to push through this one, and I don't want to, as it can ruin a book I want to like, and so will keep in my library until I'm more confortable with the writing style (in the last 3 years I've gone from hating classical—english to rather enjoying it, so I have big hopes of loving the heavy fantasyish language in this book in a few years) So, for now, I'm DNFing it
