Well written, good characters and a sexy, interesting story. While this story is a HEA I was not happy. Some of the characters in this story are criminals and generally not good people. There is mild abuse and some serious violence in this book.

** An unapologetic , Dark Ride through Hell to find Heaven on the other side !!
Nathaniel is a Heathen with an unmistakably crude attitude who has been running a scheme with his best friend and brother for years without getting caught , Taking what they want , killing for money, using Any Means necessary even their own bodies , but when he sees something he wants and finds totally irresistible ..it's his and he has to own it .
But What he wants is something he can't have ....Jenna's Heart, because he may just break her .
Jenna is happy working at a coffee shop and does everything she can to make sure nobody can attach her to her family . She even changed her last name , but when she decides to live a little and flirt with a Handsome Devil of a Stranger , she is hooked desperately by blood pumping desire .
Until a close family foe helps her piece together the mystery of what's really going on behind the new man in her lives creepy , intimidating ways and it lands her in serious trouble.
Where do I began. this believe it or not is a debut standalone novel and it's FanfreakingTastic !!
Logan takes us on an unapologetic Dark ride through Hell to find Heaven on the other side .
I loved the Drama , Action , Mystery ,some tiny bits of romance , Crazy Mad Sexual tension and those Sex scenes were ...OMG Delicious !!
What was really enjoyable about this read was the fact that Logan made it darn near impossible to actually put the sucker down with all the twists in the storyline.
I really just loved the pairing of a determined Criminal who clearly has a drop of a heart left in his body desperate for an emotional attachment but Opening his heart only gets him hurt because of what he's involved in so he puts up that wall and fights , but what he doesn't know is Jenna's a Strong Woman who doesn't back down when things get tough, because of the kind of family she grew up within.
That in itself made Nathanial & Jenna's Chemistry completely Toxic , but in a ......I want more kind of way , if you know what I mean . I just know I am biting my nails until the next book is released

Bad boy, Nate meets good girl, Jenna. I absolutely loved this book. There are so many twists and turns, I was never sure what was going to happen next, so I just had to keep reading to find out. Logan Chase has done a great job developing the characters, to the point that you like them, and you feel their emotions. He also has developed the storyline into a well written story, that grabs you at the beginning and keeps your attention throughout. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced copy, and I highly recommend this book.

This story is really "Toxic." I feel like it took an eternity in reading this book, that's how toxic it was.
There are too many things wrong here. First, This guy was truly evil and he didn't even have an excuse for it, how to protect others or some kind of justice code. Nope, nothing, zero. He doesn't fall in gray zone like the MCs either, he's just pure evil.
The poor excuse of female protagonist was pathetic. She was a bitch, and for the record I have nothing against it, just don't try to make her look "innocent" by force, it's really annoying.

The worst
This is possibly the worst excuse for a romance I've ever come across. It has graphic outside the relationship sex. THEY NEED TO PUT WARNINGS SO PEOPLE CAN AVOID THEM IF THEY DON'T LIKE OUTSIDE THE RELATIONSHIP SEX. IT'S ALMOST AS BAD AS CHEATING IN BOOKS. Nate was the worst person ever. I didn't want him to get an HEA. He was a horrible horrible immoral, gross, slutty manwhore. He wasn't even with just one person in that way. It was so gross. He even tried to pretend women were Jenna and slept with women after he and Jenna had plans. Why on earth would this be in a romance? I get that this is a dark romance, but that has nothing to do with this. This is a separate thing, and warnings should have been included.
Again I realize this is a darker book, but this guy is a murderer. He's not the gray area type like in MC books or whatever when stuff is done to protect people. This guy is evil.
The book had errors that should have been fixed before publishing. One chapter was mislabeled.

WOOOOOOOOOW!! I literally couldn't put this book down!! I loved it. What I didn't love was the con. That really did disgust me, even though I know people do that. I'm just glad Nate changed his ways, in a manner of speaking. Now I'm waiting for the next book!!
I usually don't like male writers but Mr. Logan Chase CAN write & I'll definitely continue to read his stories!! His romance scenes are HOT & not too overbearing. Everything flowed just as it should!! This book was spaced beautifully, I was able to follow along with no problems what's so ever. It wasn't rushed, more of an erotica (even though the sex scenes were HOT AS H*LL), but also it wasn't blah either.

WOW!! I got an advance copy of this book for an honest review and . . . WOW!! I couldn't put it down once I started! I thought I knew where the book was heading and then something came out of left field and surprised me totally! Definitely worth the time to read this non-traditional love story, where both leading characters except the other for who they are and realize they don't need to change to find love!

This was a great debut book by Logan Chase. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was and how I was pulled into the story. I enjoyed reading Nate and Jenna’s story and look forward to Grace and Erik’s story next. If you are looking for a story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go, this is the one for you. I will definitely be reading more by Logan Chase.

Dark and decadent!
Nate and Jenna's story is not for the faint of heart, I just had to put it out there. But if dark and decadent is your type, then this book is up your alley.
The relationship of Nate and Jenna is so twisted, sinful and toxic. At the same time, it's hot, passionate and beautiful. I mean, when you pair up something dark and light things are surely gonna get exciting!
Nate and Jenna's story is not for the faint of heart, I just had to put it out there. But if dark and decadent is your type, then this book is up your alley.

This one started off with a bang and kept on going. I thought sometimes the sex hid the underlying story as it was hard to follow in places but on the whole a very good first book.

I enjoyed reading about Nate and Jenna, they have complicated lives in different ways and they work at situations to become better for themselves and one another. I highly recommend reading! I cant wait to read the next book!

The Viper, The Devil and Baby Girl
This is the first book in what seems is going to be a standalone series. No cliffhangers! Just characters from other books will be mentioned, while there are the two main characters. So don't be scared, but be ready to be taken into a world that I am dying to read more of! Even if there was a cliffhanger, I'd be happy because the hottie in the next book, Untapped, oh yes! Now, lets back up & get to the hottie in this book! If you told me that it was written by a first time author, with a little help from a fav loved one, I'd have lost a bet! Logan Chase is freaking awesome! This is a must read and keep an eye out because I believe this handsome bro will be sitting next to a fav! Cue the song! Make sense to you? It does to me and sometimes, these reviews are meant for both! Now, lets get back to the review for you & I suggest grabbing this book while it's hot off the presses! Nathaniel Hayes is hot as sin and a smooth criminal. He has a partner in crime, Ashley, who was his first of everything starting from childhood years. However, her feelings remained as they had, while he has put her in the best friend with benefits zone. Mike was also Nate's best friend, who grew up with Ashley, but he didn't care for her (I'm with Mike and was from the moment we met Ashley). Nate keeps Mike out of everything as much as possible. Meanwhile, Ashley & Nate's plans are about not being poor and becoming rich. Which is a game that could be not so good, for a future that Nate wants, but didn't think he could have...

Jenna is always making her change, before going out with Grace and friends, especially when she is making Jenna go to a club.
Jenna is a talker, but when Nate comes in during her every shift...she clams up. She finally gets the nerve to talk to him. Which turns into her inviting him out to the club. The heat of this book was already steamy, but watch it, now it catches on fire and everything implodes!
The scheme goes too far, which makes emotions go all over for different people, different reasons, and different times! This is filled with twists & turns, ups & downs, highs & lows, love & lust, and that's just within the book...not what I felt reading it! If you think that I gave any spoilers away, you know nothing yet! So with that being said, what is the scheme and what happened? Will Ashley find out about Jenna & if so, how will she react? How are Grace & Mike main secondary characters? If it comes down to it, would Nate choose the woman he loved & has been loyal to him for most of his life or the woman who he's loved from afar & just started hanging with? Read & find out! Have you ever started reading a book and you just automatically know this is something you are going to like? Luckily for me this happened within the first few pages of this whirlwind read, I was hooked!
This story of 3 childhood friends Nate, Ashley, Mikey, and how they make money the illegal way.
Ashley gets herself a sugar daddy marries them, then waits an appropriate amount of time, than has them killed. Get the insurance/inheritance and move on.
Nate is ready to be done with these games, Ashley wants more from Nate then wants to give her, he doesn't feel anything other than FWB, He has his eyes on a another women, problem is she's a good girl Jenna. She comes from a wealthy family, but lives on her own and works at a coffee shop, that's how Nate found her, after a year of coming into the coffee shop every time she is working, she finally goes up and talks to him. Thinking she is taking a step forward in her life, little did she realize talking to Nate would turn her world and Nate's world upside down.
So, I wanted to dislike Nate, as much as he wanted to do the “right” thing he was still lying,
But I couldn't entirely hate his cocky alpha know it all self. ( I actually humphed to myself as I typed that ) it's crazy!
Regardless of that, I loved this whirlwind story, the more I read the deeper I was in,
I found myself thinking had it been me, I would have just offed a couple of those characters myself.. ( that folks is a sign you have read a few dark romances ) all in good pure fictional thinking of course.. Ehhh emm.
I liked that it had humor and witt mixed with psycho female and love, a good girl who clearly had a bad side buried deep down, Super sexy scenes, the kind I felt guilty reading with my kids in the room, with great plot twists. Kept me fully engrossed ignoring the outside word!! This was a first time read for me by both of these authors, I am so excited to read more from both of them!
I cannot wait to see what with next! P.S Erik is awesome!

I found myself thinking had it been me, I would have just offed a couple of those characters myself.. ( that folks is a sign you have read a few dark romances ) all in good pure fictional thinking of course.. Ehhh emm.
I liked that it had humor and witt mixed with psycho female and love, a good girl who clearly had a bad side buried deep down, Super sexy scenes, the kind I felt guilty reading with my kids in the room, with great plot twists. Kept me fully engrossed ignoring the outside word!! This was a first time read for me by both of these authors, I am so excited to read more from both of them!
I cannot wait to see what with next! P.S Erik is awesome!

Nathaniel is a Heathen with an unmistakably crude attitude who has been running a scheme with his best friend and brother for years without getting caught , Taking what they want , killing for money, using Any Means necessary even their own bodies , but when he sees something he wants and finds totally irresistible ..it's his and he has to own it .
But What he wants is something he can't have ....Jenna's Heart, because he may just break her .
Jenna is happy working at a coffee shop and does everything she can to make sure nobody can attach her to her family . She even changed her last name , but when she decides to live a little and flirt with a Handsome Devil of a Stranger , she is hooked desperately by blood pumping desire .
Until a close family foe helps her piece together the mystery of what's really going on behind the new man in her lives creepy , intimidating ways and it lands her in serious trouble.
Where do I began. this believe it or not is a debut standalone novel and it's FanfreakingTastic !!
Logan takes us on an unapologetic Dark ride through Hell to find Heaven on the other side .
I loved the Drama , Action , Mystery ,some tiny bits of romance , Crazy Mad Sexual tension and those Sex scenes were ...OMG Delicious !!
What was really enjoyable about this read was the fact that Logan made it darn near impossible to actually put the sucker down with all the twists in the storyline.
I really just loved the pairing of a determined Criminal who clearly has a drop of a heart left in his body desperate for an emotional attachment but Opening his heart only gets him hurt because of what he's involved in so he puts up that wall and fights , but what he doesn't know is Jenna's a Strong Woman who doesn't back down when things get tough, because of the kind of family she grew up within.
That in itself made Nathanial & Jenna's Chemistry completely Toxic , but in a ......I want more kind of way , if you know what I mean . I just know I am biting my nails until the next book is released.

This is Logan's debut novel and holy crap what a story it is. Nathaniel has a scheme with his partner in crime Ashley. They have made some big money doing it. Their next job is about to get real interesting. Nathaniel will have to choose between his past or his future.
I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the character's. Ashley played vilian/dansel in distress to letter. I felt for her at the beginning but in the end hated her. I think Jenna brought out the best in Nathaniel. I look forward to reading more from Logan in the future.

Nate really is toxic. A legitimately bad person, he along with his partner in crime and f*ck buddy Ashley, scheme to kill one of the most wealthy men in the city. And then take all of his money. While this is going on he has fallen for the good girl barista Jenna. When the time comes for him to have to choose an old friend, or his new love, will he be able to live with the consequences?
I liked this book, for one because the sex was ultra hot and constant. I can’t say that the scenes with Ashley were all that enjoyable. She just kind of grossed me out. Then towards the end obviously I was just ready for her to be out of the picture. I liked Nate, he wasn’t one of those bad boy on the outside good guy on the inside hero’s. Raised poor he would do anything to get out and stay out of the gutter. You kind of have to respect that.
Jenna was your cliche good girl. Not coming from an uber rich family I think it’s ridiculous when someone refuses the family money. I mean really who would do that? And since the family wasn’t a bunch of evil psychos I don’t see why Jenna would refuse an advantage most people would kill for. She was likable for the most part, though, when she found out what happened to her brother and decided she didn’t care what role Nate had in it, I was a little confused.
Overall it was a good book. Well written and very sexy. I will definitely be reading the next book Untapped, about the smokin hot mob enforcer/hit man Eric!

So, I kind of goofed when I applied to review an ARC of this... I had been "stalking" a book with a similar title, and so I jumped at the chance to review this, thinking it was the other one (sorry! :-/), but... best goof ever! Man.. that was crazy (but so good)! I'm not sure what is says about me (and I'm really not sure I want to look behind that curtain) but I love guys that truly are BAD guys, and make no apology for it (in my stories anyway); not just like the "rough on the outside, but deep down..." or "yea, he does terrible things, but as revenge", or "get them before they get me", type guys, and, wow, Nate was right up there.
It seemed a little rushed at the end, but Nate and Jenna were so cute/funny/swoon-worthy/hot together, Mikey was seriously a trip (I'm not sure how intentional it was, but I thought he was hilarious), and I could just not turn the pages fast enough to figure out how on earth Jenna and Nate were going to be able to make it work (under the circumstances), but.. they HAD to, right?!?
P.S. OMG I cannot wait to read Erik's story, I think I love him already!!
P.P.S. Authors PUHLEASE stop with the whole "squirt" (*cringe* *shudder*) thing.. Ugh! Even just talking about it or referencing it; it's awful.. stop it. I mean, I seriously cannot be the only one that thinks that, that is just WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION, even in smutty books about fictional people, can I? Does anyone actually like hearing that word, or the image it conjures? SMH...

Logan Chase is a new to me Author, but after reading his Debut Novel, Toxic: A Bad Boy Crime Novel, I plan to have many more twisted adventures with Logan Chase at the writing helm!
Even his name sounds like he belongs starring in his own story!
Holy Freaking Shock and Suspense Batman!
With all that Jenna and Nate had thrown at them, it's not a surprise they were able to grow such a strong bond. All it took was them falling head over heels in love with each other first. Check. Then when all H €LL breaks lose on their worlds, all that should have been pushing them apart, had them striving with all their strength to hold on to each other even more. Another Check mark!
Logan Chase did not hold back on this crasy M•ther-effing ride he put us though.
And I love him for doing just that.
I was on the edge of my seat probably looking like a basket case, chewing off my nubs called finger nails.
If you don't go One-Click this spectacular as H €LL book, then I'm sorry to say, your loss, because you will be wanting to do just that if you knew what this book entailed!

I wouldn't call this book "pleasant" or "beautiful" or "good". This book is intense and raw. It is dirty and vulgar, passionate and dynamic. There are twists, turns and murders. And there's love. Despite profound differences between major characters, despite their dissimilar backgrounds, despite past crimes and present bad choices, their love for each other only grew and evolved into unbreakable bond.

Nate is a man who takes what he wants, from who he wants, when he wants. No questions asked. He schemes to get his way, and sometimes those don't go well. But when his latest one turns out very badly he has to decide which is more important to him: Love or Loyalty?
Jenna grew up surrounded by the rich who care more about their appearance than helping fellow man. She decided to live without her family's wealth & the last thing she needs is a man pretending to be something he isn't.
This book was intense and dirty. The characters have so many twists and turns, ups and downs. Nate had some moments where I didn't know if he was a good guy or a bad guy; Jenna wants to live her life in peace, and then Ashely - geez I don't know if I've ever hated a character so much. But deep down even she just wanted to be loved & lived life in the hopes that someone would love her in return. Reading this book made me happy, sad, angry, and relieved. The author is one to look out for, for sure - he kept me on my toes & I just did not want this book to end. I can't wait to read another book by him.

Toxic is hot! Filled with criminal deeds, a bad, bad boy and good, but not so innocent girl. Nate and his FWB Ashley have lived a life of crime where she marries rich men and he kills those rich men or gives her the means to kill them, then she inherits their money and splits it with Nate. But now Nate has a new woman in his life. She's a strong, sweet woman who is from a rich family but lives only on her own money, with no help from her family because she wants to make her own way in the world. She's been lusting after the hot "thug" who's been coming into the coffee shop where she works for the past year. She finally gets up the nerve to talk to him and damn if they aren't sexy together.
But, Nate and Jenna will have a lot of obstacles to overcome if their relationship is to work. There's his secret criminal life, Jenna's identity, oh, and Nate's psycho FWB, Ashley and how she's Jenna's sister-in-law and is completely in love with Nate and doesn't like sharing him.

This book was different than what I normally read. I had to put it aside for a day and come back to it. I think it's a book that is better if you have a little idea of what you're in for to get you in the right frame of mind.
This story is dark, suspenseful, full of crime and passion, friendship, deception, manipulation, murder, love, emotion, humor along with twist and turns.
Childhood friends Ashley, Nate and Mikey set up scams to take advantage of wealthy men. Basically Ashley ropes in a rich man and gets him to marry her. She lives the good life for awhile until they murder him for the insurance money. Nate wants to get out of this business arrangement. He also has a bizarre “friends with benefits” relationship with Ashley. She wants to be more, but he doesn't have any deeper feelings for her.
Nate meets someone who would normally come from a family the trio would target. Jenna is innocent and has no idea what she is in for with the roller coaster Nate brings to her life.
