There is a lot more to kidnapping than financial analyst Mickey Rapowski ever imagined. Mickey has a chip on her shoulder—she’s been cheated out of a small fortune by corporate giant Victoria Gresham. In an irrational attempt at revenge, Mickey kidnaps Gresham’s girlfriend, Ginette Felstrom. A straightforward and effective plan—except Ginette is the worst captive ever and no one wants to pay her ransom. Out of her depth as every one of her well-laid plans spins totally out of control, Mickey becomes the victim of reverse Stockholm Syndrome and falls head over heels for her captive. How could something so simple go so wrong? Or is that…right?

Good read!
An unexpectedly much better story than I thought -- good mystery and plot twists all the way through to the end. Good writing that kept up with the many action, good chemistry with a nice ending. Recommended to all interested readers

One amusing action-packed romantic comedy with more than a twist.

A darn fun romp that is completely unlike anything I have ever read before.

It kind of reminded me a bit of TV Shows like Burn Notice with spies and double-crossing and so much pretending that you're never sure who really has the upper hand, or is being truthful.

But it works!

Green Eyed Monster is one of those madcap adventures that hurls you into full belly laughs and “oh shyte” exclamations as the story twists and turns with whiplash inducing speed. No one is innocent and everybody’s guilty. It whisks you from a cabin in the woods to the Caymans.

Mickey, Victoria, Ginette, and later on BJ play musical chairs as villains and heroes. There’s corporate money laundering, hot sex, disgruntled employees, pirates, much scheming, hot-blooded exes, and more hot sex. Can’t say anymore because the surprises are what make the book. Quick, fun read.

A hotshot programmer gets kicked out of her job after she turns in a highly profitable piece of software. In revenge, she kidnaps her 'Big Boss' girlfriend (or so she thinks), to demand ransom. However, nothing is at it seems. Deceptions, betrayals, double-crosses in every chapter. Billed a romantic comedy, this lives up to it perfectly. And there is the requisite angst as well. Gill Mcknigt is one versatile author. In the hands of a lesser author, this would have disintegrated into farce. But she manages to keep things real enough that everything seems plausible rather than fantastical. This is by far my favorite book from her.

What a surprise!

What do you get when you put together a financial analyst, a corporate giant and an ex girlfriend? ....A kidnapping going crazy. It starts off right away and every page that follows is packed full of excitement that will keep you turning the pages at full speed. You are taken on a journey of twists and turns, with laughs and surprises along the way. All is not quite as it seems. The situations are insane, the banter very amusing and the characters are irresistible. I had so much fun reading this story and I highly recommend it.

I loved this book and I’ve read it at least 3 times. McKnight is one of my favorite authors. Four Women with larceny in their heads, end up with love in their hearts. This book is funny and, in spite of unlawfulness, heart warming. Don’t miss this one or any book from this author. Enjoy 😊

This book started at the onset of a kidnapping, and it picked up speed and action with every chapter. There was more action crammed into this book than most other books i've read, and i kept having to stop and recap just so i could keep up with what the eff was going on. That was not a bad thing, it was surprise after surprise and a shocking good time! The intensity of this book made it seem much longer than it was. (well i also found myself going back to the beginning after each turn of events to see why i didn't see that coming.) And there were many OMG moments that i would never have predicted. Yet this book was not just an action/adventure/kidnapping story. The author's comfortable writing style and consistent wit and humor throughout, had me laughing and biting my nails at the same time.

One of my favorite things about this book, was how the author worked the alternating points of view. Each time you switched to an alternate point of view, you were convincingly inside the mind of that person. They had just been the bad guy, but now from their point of view you are routing for them. Then it switches again. I loved how this kept going on throughout the book and had you wondering in no time at all if you loved or hated yourself. it was pretty darn impressive.

I am not going to discuss the players in this book, for fear i'll give away some little thing that may ruin your thrill riding unpredictable experience. But i recommend this book to anyone that likes action and humor mixed in with your hot romance. oh, and this certainly had a few hot scenes.

I just found this author. This is second book i've read by her, and it has given me enough evidence that she is consistent and skilled. i'll be reading the rest of her books for sure.

The book started out great, the ending of the main couple is very nicely put together. However, the mid part of the book kinda dropped down to so-so. Most of all, the author managed to convince the reader in the beginning as to whom should be the focus of the reader's hatred, turn out, the characters in this story forgive and forget way too easily. I feel like they are all in a roller coaster mood swing, then *woop,* all of them fell into a hole of happily ever after romance. What about their crimes? Did they really paid them enough?
The beginning is the best part of the book, but somehow, the mid-near ending made it lost a lot of its starter charm.

PS: Love the Van Gogh reference. Even without any mention of the painting's name, I definitely related it to The Scream for Mickey's face (definitely one of my most favorite moment in this book).

Oh dear! I do like books with a tiny bit of reality but this went off the rails by line 5. Read first 15%, then skip Read and finally did not finish. Move on.

Completely absurd story where the tables are constantly and exhaustively turned around.
It can be fun and hot but once again I wonder why the writer seems to think that violence is a good way to start love stories

Currently wondering how many hallucinogens the author took to cook up this absolute dumpster fire😭

After the first twist all that shit just felt so unnecessary and try-hard. I was running in circles in my mind and couldn’t follow. Glad some people enjoyed though

I was getting worried with everyone getting hit over the head with a gun, all those headaches. Double crossings, broken hearts and a boat called Green Eyed Monster. A fun read.

I really struggled with this book. I couldn't get over the fact that she slept with someone who had abducted her. McKnight had some funny moments, but not enough to get rid of the fact that her main character kidnapped someone, then decided it was okay to hold them and try to comfort them. Trauma doesn't typically work that way, and if it did the victim is just that.. a victim. This is of course only my opinion, well mine and I would feel safe in saying the majority of Americans. It was short, and forgettable. I think this may be the harshest review I have ever given a book, and I am unsure it deserves that level dislike. If you are a fan of McKnight it may be worth it to you to read this.

Despite the rating, this is actually a good book. With some.. (what was that called?) plots twist? Idk something like that. I really enjoy this book alots. It was interesting on how characters interact with each other. Like first enemy and turn to ally at the next second. At the start also get my attention too. The kidnap was already happened and started off from there.

Great book for my mood... wanted to get away from the deep, angst-ridden, heavy emotions for a weekend. This book was just perfect for that! Go in with a light heart and laugh along the way... Definitely recommend!

This was silly and that produced humour. I found it to be a book to have a good laugh as long as you choose not to want to think about the loops in the story. I had a number of good silly laughs.

Good one

It took me a while to finish this one. And the twists were interesting. The name Victoria is certainly winning in the lesbian fiction community.

I love happy endings.

This is a really fun book with lots of twists.

The story starts in the mind of a blindfolded kidnap victim located somewhere in America and by the end we're on a yacht in the Caribbean evading pirates! A kidnapping sounds bleak, but the intelligence, sarcasm and wit of our captive character makes us wonder who really is the victim.

Nothing in this story is predictable and I was kept guessing throughout. There are a lot of twists in the book but it's definitely not a confusing or contrived read. There is a madcap, fun feel to the narrative where no character is one dimensional or as they seem. Having each character with both good and bad points made for a much more interesting read. The plot is intricate and excellently written and I laughed out loud many times.

After I read "Green Eyed Monster", my first impression was that this would make a great comedic movie.

Overall, a really fun read and definitely recommend!

Twisty, sexy and fun! Another excellent book by Gill McKnight, Green Eyed Monster kept pulling the rug out from under me! I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I picked it up, but after reading her amazing Garoul series I was ready for more of her slick, funny writing. I don't want to give away any of the plot, but I loved Mickey and the rest of the characters were a lot of fun too.

Very sexy and unpredictable, I definitely recommend this one!

Three sexy-wicked blonds get in over their heads when a kidnapping goes awry. I love this author's sense of humor. Laughed out loud. You've gotta have a sense of humor to like this one... if you are looking for a a fun ride and enjoy lezfic that doesn't take itself so seriously... you'll get a kick out of this one.

My favorite lines and what had me laughing out loud-not that it's the only time i laughed whilst reading the book mind you- which then had people looking at me weirdly is:

Y'all, this book is so fun! It was surprising, funny, and sexy. I was totally grabbed by every twist and every turn. I am sure this is not for everyone, but you have to respect the ambition behind the premise. A kidnapping turned international crime jaunt. Loved the romances, loved the characters, loved the feeling of resolution I had when it ended. I really think this is a sleeper hit!

The beginning was fun, entertaining and sexy.
It was something different than what I'm used to.
light reading, not too heavy or emotional.
Unfortunately, it weakened so much towards the end that it never got back to the quality at had in the beginning of the book.

No me resultó interesante y, encima, el primer encuentro sexual que tienen es con una de ellas secuestrada, atada, con venda en los ojos mientras la secuestradora se la coje. Too much.
