Rion's best friend has gone missing! Her prime suspect: a suspicious looking host club. She is convinced that the hosts are vampires and makes sure to keep a close eye on them.

Bloodhound has potential but just doesn't go anywhere. The art is nice and it has a good enough start. There's a hint of horror but otherwise, it's pretty much a comedy - in a good sense. There was definitely also room for some romance but, as mentioned, it doesn't go anywhere. The manga just ends and you only know that it ended because you reached the end of the volume.

There is neither a conclusion nor any feeling of closure. The story built up a few elements such as reincarnation but is never really explored. The hint of romance is dropped and the last we see of our characters is a prank. There's not even a hint of how it might go on. Simply put: wasted potential!

Rion the destructive Domperignon crucher, is a highschool girl searching for her missing best friend. Her only clues are the fact that her best friend's seeing a "vampire" and there are numerous girls disappearing and reappearing later on with their blood sucked dry. There's also a business card from a Gothic Host Club.

I'm going to keep it to that, I find it funny that I can't give this manga a proper introduction for this review without me spoiling anything. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, although I wish there were more volumes and expanded on the main characters. This manga has a little bit of everything, romance, comedy, mystery, school life (not much thought, but school uniforms yes!), etc.

My honest opinion is read the manga! I don't want to say more, because odds are I'm going to ruin it for you or spoil it. Great read.

I don't know how to review this one. There are a lot of good things in this, a lot of good ideas - ideas that if expanded upon would have been amazing. There is also a lot of confusing plots, which seem to lead nowhere and that ending... what?

I read the first few chapters of this in the early oughts. I loved it. For some reason it popped into my head the other day and at the time I couldn't remember the title, the character's names or the author. Luckily my Google-fu paid off and after a few attempts, I was able to track it down.

I still love those first few chapters that focus on Rion investigating the disappearance of her best friend. If the entire volume was about that I easily would have given this a higher rating. But it's not, and in many ways a lot of what happens afterwards causes this book to fall off the rails.

Rion was such a great protagonist! Probably the most fired up, and lively one. I've seen in a shoujo manga! The final and fifth chapter was confusing in terms of translation, but I thought it was a good chapter nonetheless. I do wish that this went on longer, for the fact that I feel that all the characters should get their own chapters for building up their character. The thing that I enjoyed the most, was probably the fact that the protagonist wasn't some doe-eyed high school girl falling in love. She was a tough, smart (as in commonsense) type of girl, and ended up befriending the hosts rather than having one of them as a love interest. However, because this was shoujo, there were a few elements of that happening, but not as much or often. I really enjoyed this and hope that you do too!

This was pretty bad and disjointed. As soon as I would piece together enough story, the chapter would end and a new, equally disjointed story would commence. This could have ended after chapter 3 and had a nice well-ish rounded story with a concise ending. Well, whatever. Once you get over the gross inaccuracies of Christianity and weird melding of folklore, it wasn't terrible.

This manga collection was good, but weird at the same time. I agree with the previous comment: there are pieces missing from the plot that could've helped with understanding what was going on. In the beginning, it did give a good a laugh :)
