Far more than a dictionary of saints, this beautifully illustrated book is an informative chronicle that explores the mysterious conditions of sainthood and tells the lives of the saints in a comprehensive and modern approach to this fascinating subject.
An actual Coffee Shop book that I actually read from cover to cover. Makes me proud of the rich history and good people that are part of my church when there are a few bad apples floating around.
It was decent. Been wanting to read a book on the lives of saints for years, but previous books I have looked at didn't grab my interest. This was one of those 6$ books at Borders which I thought was admirable, especially for the price. It's amazing though how much of the various saint's histories is more of legend than fact or that they don't know much of at all. Only time will tell if it has any lasting impact on helping to make me a better person!
