Excellent reporting with great descriptions and a lot of history relating to the eradication of Smallpox. Other chapters cover Kuru, creating the Hepatitis B Vaccine, evaluating 3 methods of Schistosomiasis control using an island as the research laboratory, and the difficult work of treating Leprosy patients in Nepal.
