Alberto Martini

Alberto Martini (1931-1965) was an Italian art historian, critic, and consultant for Finarte, an Italian auction house based in Milan.
Martini worked in television and radio for RAI, producing documentaries on artists and edited a number of art monographs including various volumes of the I Maestri del Colore series by Fabbri Editori.

Martini died on May 8, 1965, in a car accident.

Un buen libro, cumple con el objetivo de narrar la vida de Van Gogh, la selección de imágenes es buena y todas están a color

I'm not sure this is the right book but it's the right author. Close enough. VVG is one of my favorites though many other artists aren't that enthralled. His output for a short period of time was prolific but they aren't all winners. Date read is a guess.
