Isolation Confusion Hope Iris lives a life of efficiency. Everything about her is controlled and orderly. Only the handsome neighbor's dog can bring a smile to her face. Iris receives an anonymous gift one evening at work. When they discover the crude piece of art is created with blood-based paint, Iris is drawn into a murder investigation. Reluctantly she accepts help from her neighbor. Distrustful and lonely, Iris seeks to hear God's voice in a small group of women. Will she be able to trust again? Will the murderer come after her? Will she find hope and lasting love? Iris, Message from God, is the second book in the Christian suspense series, Planted Flowers. Each of the women find a deeper relationship with God and hope to build a network of support in the group. The trials and dangers they experience bring them closer to each other and to God, opening them up to the men in their lives. Join Iris to find her message of hope.
I spend my time staring into a computer screen whether working, writing, or editing. That’s why it’s so fun to hang out with my grandson, children, or walk outside. But burning easily makes it difficult to spend much time outdoors.
I come from a family of writers: my mom, my grandmother, and several other family members. When I'm not at the computer writing or editing, I'm discussing plots with any one of my children.
I do ask the advice of my cats. They have good ideas. The world holds a variety of sinister plots even if it is just someone waiting for the bus.

Customer Testimony
Even with extreme pain and limited mobility, God used these books to encourage, remind, teach, give hope, and draw me closer to Him. I loved these books!
I saw parts of my life in them as well as other women, and how to deal with life problems Anna tells(teaches) in these stories. God has used Anna to spur Christians on and draw non-believers to God and our Lord Jesus Christ!

This is the 2nd book in a series written by Ms. Payne. Like the first one, there are two stories that are weaved together with the hero Iris as the lead in both of them. One story involves someone who had a crush on her that is not healthy, the other is her trying to find a greater faith in the God that she sort of believes in. As we get deeper into the mystery of who is sending her pictures of Irises painted in blood, we find out people who are around her are in danger, especially her neighbor and the one thing that she trusts in life, his dog, and through this, she is learning to trust God and her small group of Bible study friends.
I would recommend this to people who are wanting to learn more of what it means to trust God, and/or who want a light mystery. I say light mystery because I had figured out who done it very early on. Again, like the first book in the series, Lilly (who makes an appearance here), it is more like how are they going to get caught. It is a short read, I would say 2 hours or less.
Iris lives a life with everything orderly and controlled. An anonymous gift turns out to be a sick piece of artwork which leads Iris into danger. Can a neighbor and his dog help her find love, comfort, and the ability to trust again?
As with the first book in the Planted series, this is more than just a book of mystery and romance. The underlining story has to do with finding faith, strength, understanding, and support while gaining a deeper relationship with God and his teachings.

Cozy and Faith Filled Murder Mystery The nature of prayer wrapped inside a murder mystery. This is a well written cozy mystery. It is faith filled, sweet and clean. The mystery plot is well executed. The characters are believable with significant depth. This is the second in the Planted series with each episode concentrating on one character. I received this ARC book for free and voluntarily chose to post my honest review.

Iris is the assistant vice president of a large company. she is always efficient, calm, controlled. she lives alone and attend the Planted church group. thanks to the group, she begin to trust people, hug and tell what she feels and thinks
Wow! I really enjoyed this book. Iris was a woman with trust issues, but through the twists in this thriller she finds new friends and a closer walk with God. I read this in one sitting, could not put it down. I recommend the book to anyone looking for an inspiring thriller that's a clean read.
I loved this book. Many of us can relate to her story and need a group of friends like Lily finds at the Planted study group. Looking forward to the other books in this series.
After reading the first book, Lily, I wanted to read another book in this series to learn more about the ladies in the Planted group. While there are editing issues, I still enjoyed the story. I like that the story has no adult language and scenes. Those things tend to overshadow an otherwise good book. I liked the pacing of Iris. I wanted to read this in one sitting, to have the murderer apprehended.
I also enjoy the Bible application and questioning that the characters face. So many people have questions about GOD and are afraid to ask, or have been hurt and refuse to ask. This book offers some answers through its' characters trials and growth.
When I read Lily, I could not figure out why I didn't like the tense of the story. While I read Iris, I felt like a commentator was giving me a blow by blow picture and that's what I'm not fond of. Be warned that the book references rape, but the details are not explicit (trigger). Iris has to learn to trust GOD and those that HE has brought into her life.
I like this series and will finish it. I recommend this series. 3.5 stars
