Storms of Perfection is a collection of letters from over fifty of the world's most successful people. In their correspondence with author Andy Andrews, they tell the story of the biggest problem or worst rejection they personally encountered before becoming successful. Thought provoking and inspirational, the actual words of these incredible achievers are reprinted here in unedited form. The stories they have written bring new insight to the price of success and an appreciation for the perseverance these winners displayed as they faced life-changing "storms of perfection."
"Storms of Perfection 1" by Andy Andrews, is an empowering read. The book consists of 50 brief letters from successful people about struggles, rejections, and obstacles overcome. Andrews inserted a photo and brief description of each person before his/her printed letter.
Being a writer, I have had my share of rejections - post cards and form letters. It goes with the job. About half-way through "Storms of Perfection" I observed my changed point of view.
In the book, letter after letter after letter stated set-backs, obstacles, rejections, illness, shortage of funds, etc., then moved on to the triumphant outcome. In each case the writer refused to wallow in disappointment or to give up.
Each letter writer went on to gain fame, or fortune, or success in the chosen area, and make a positive impact. If not, they wouldn't have been invited to contribute their experiences as entertainers, authors, journalists, athletes, entrepreneurs, zoo keeper, Miss America, and holocaust survivor.
One success story is uplifting. A collection is empowering.
As Andy Andrews said, "Storms of Perfection prepare you for the success God has planned for you."
If these letters don’t inspire you to keep going through tough times I don’t know what will. Storms of Perfection is an amazing concept pulled off by one who justifiably could have quite before the project was completed. Thanks, Andy, for sharing these amazing stories with us. This is one we could read again and again.
Not normally a reader for this type of material but this book (and the two additional titles) really captured my thought. Really enjoyed the stories and found the book empowering. You will be glad you read.
Great motivational stories. Celebrities wrote letters telling of "storms" in their lives that ultimately led to some sort of perfection. Great lessons in reminding us that sometimes our darkest times lead to the light.
An old book, which is clearly dated by the times. And one I picked up because I had this exact idea for a book - short stories on famous people's journeys to greatness.
