A charming, simple book following a Minnesota girl from her early days as a teacher through her life. This was a gift from a friend who tries to keep me connected to Minnesota through the arts and I truly did not think I'd even read it. It turned out to be a refreshing break from the heavy reading I've been doing lately and I even stayed up late to finish it. The author does a great job taking the reader through life as it is: slower at the early years and speeding up as we get older.

Author is a dear friend and colleague. Loved the more adult-like story, similar to "Little House on the Prairie", but set in the 1920s.
