This was lovely (despite some of the dubious consent story line). Oftentimes I feel some authors create fluff/filler chapters or tend to have a tighter focus on the MCs (whether that is due to a lack of creativity or difficulty in weaving together so many characters and storylines). However with this book, there were so many delightful surprise canon nods with bringing in old and forgotten characters, developing side character stories so naturally it felt like a natural canon extension in some ways. The new with the old was splendidly wrought.

Also, there were some really amazing conversations dealing with muggle-born graduates and the difficulties of a post-Hogwarts/post-battle life that I had never considered! Kudos to Dyce and their betas for such an exceptional read!

Given the concept of the fic, there wasn’t any smut or fun times of the couple finally got together. I was overall frustrated with the romance and just didn’t see it. I ended up feeling bad for Draco and wishing snape would bow out. 2 stars instead of one because I always love a soft Hermione portrayal and I thought Harry’s reaction to everything and his revelation was apt. I also liked the way the war was done.
