I worked through this study on my own using the videos from Study Gateway. The videos were great. Six in all, 20 minutes in duration and Giglio made them interesting and informative to watch.
This study guide is well set out and structured in a practical way to provide discussion and/or self-thought to gain the most of the videos and accompanying book of the same name. What grabbed me most about the book and study was Giglio's different interpretation of the David and Goliath story. Often we can make David out to be the hero and in so doing give him the glory. We blokes in particular love to use this story to help motivate us to be more courageous. But what Giglio highlights is this story is ALL about Jesus and accepting our weakness so we can rely on His strength to overpower our giants that are playing too big a part in our lives.
I expect this would be an excellent resource to use in a group as it would facilitate a lot of very useful discussion. As with all Study Guides there are additional pointers for leaders when running a group.

This book is not for the faint hearted. If you are willing to allow the truth of who Jesus is deeply impact your life, then dive right in. This is not a book for people who don’t want Jesus to influence their life.

This book study, that was the companion to the Goliath Must Fall book, was great. It makes you really look at yourself.

This is a great study. It is based on the story of David and Golaith, beginning on the premise that we are not David. Jesus is David! Jesus is our giant slayer. Subjects covered: fear, rejection, comfort, anger and addiction. It comes as a study with a video series of six lessons. It is also a book entitled, Goliath Must Fall.

Great book and solid concepts!!
This is an easy read and really helpful on a very tough topic. It is spot on for identifying the areas in our lives that can hold us hostage. Jesus can free us - we need to hand him control and have faith that he will free us.
