What happens, when two bears, from two different worlds, collide?
Curvy bear shifter Grace, does not believe in love and marriage, or happy ever afters. So, fate must be having a joke on her, when she crosses paths with her mate at a wedding, where she’s the hired help—and he’s a billionaire.
Grace doesn’t believe in opposites attract, or any of that nonsense. So, why do her eyes follow Matt around and her heart squeeze with jealousy, when she sees him talking to a woman who is stylish, and clearly looks like she would be the perfect match, for Grace’s mate?
Matt’s made his fortune, and now he wants to use it to help other shifters get a fresh start in life. He wants to work with Dylan from Bear Bluff Construction, and expand the good job he’s doing helping offenders. What he doesn’t expect, is for one of those offenders to be his mate.
Can he persuade Grace that it doesn’t matter what she’s done in the past? He doesn’t care, he doesn’t even need to know. But, what he does need, is for her to take a chance on him, and on their future together.
Can Grace do this, when two bears, from different worlds, collide?
Harmony Raines loves to write romance filled with magic and love. Her men are usually not so alpha, but they know how to treat their fated mates, or alien lovers well.

TITLE OF BOOK: WHEN BEARS COLLIDE AUTHOR OF BOOK: HARMONY RAINES DATE READ: FEBRUARY 11, 2017
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN TWO BEARS FROM TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS COLLIDE?
Harmony Raines is the Queen of the Bear Shifters and I love her books. Everybody who loves Paranormal Romance has their favorite and mine is Bear Shifters, with Dragons next in line. “When Bears Collide” is the 5th installment in the Return to Bear Bluff series. It is the story of curvy bear shifter Grace who was given a second chance by Dylan when he hired her at his construction company under his program for helping shifters in trouble with the law get their second chance. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance and this is one story you do not want to miss.
Grace is helping at the wedding Caleb and Zoe from “Who Bears Win”. She decides that the fates have it in for her when she meets her fated mate at the wedding and he is a billionaire. She doesn’t want a mate because she doesn’t believe in love and happily ever after. But seeing her mate Matt talk to another woman kind of sparks some jealousy in Grace, but she believes the woman he is talking to is more suitable for him.
Matt is a billionaire and he is in town to talk business with Dylan because he wants to work with Dylan and Bear Bluff Construction by expanding the program for helping offenders in need of a second chance. Matt sure didn’t expect his mate to be one of the offenders. Can Matt convince Grace that her past is in the past, and he wants a future with her? Will Grace give in and take a chance on Matt even though they are from two different worlds?
No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy Read voluntarily and with great admiration for a GREAT author and writer!!!!
Grace is working a second job as a server at Caleb and Zoe’s wedding, passing out the champagne fake smile firmly in place. She’s wondering how they can possibly buy into the happily ever after crap, everyone knows that nothing lasts forever. And then it hit her, that tingling sensation she’d heard lovesick couples talk about… no, crap. Her mate was here somewhere, and he was the last person she intended to run into. But fate gives her little choice.
His mate was here, and Matt would track her down. He’d come to this wedding as a friend of the bride and a potential business prospect with Dylan. Finding his mate hadn’t crossed his mind really, but now that he felt her here, noting would keep them apart. Not even Grace herself.
A possible threat, a definite troublemaker, Tessa makes her first appearance at the wedding, as a wedding crasher of course. She’s out for her own interests and to make life miserable for Matt and Grace. Yet faced with a powerful man like Matt time will tell if she has a chance at pulling off her scheme.
Aside from a lovely Christmas story, When Bears Collide brings the Return to Bear Bluff series to a close… for now, I’ve learned to never say never.
Grace is a strong, stubborn shifter. She’s done time, and it was interesting that we never got to know exactly what she did time for… Matt doesn’t need to know and I respected that we shouldn’t know either. Her life has proven to her that love does not last and no one stays forever. It’s up to Matt, and a strong bond to prove differently. Their chemistry was strong and their characters very likable. It wasn’t difficult to see their world combining, each bringing something unique to their joining.
It was also nice to have those dangling threads that wove throughout the series all wrapped up in this story. Not that they “had” to be, each story was complete as it stood, it was just nice to get those finishing touches.
I really enjoyed Matt and Grace’s story and loved the entire series. I’d recommend any and all of these stories to any Shifter or Paranormal Romance reader.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
The story line was good but I wish we were told of the crime that Grace committed it would added more to the story.I love Harmony Raines books so I recommend all her books .
This is the 5th book in the Return to Bear Bluff series. It is just as great as the other 4 books so far. I really enjoyed reading about Matt and Grace and all the obstacles that they overcame to become the mates that fate had determined them to be. Past histories, Bear shifters, true mates and much more are included in this book. I would highly recommend it to any who enjoy bear shifter books. I volunteered to read this book and to leave an honest review.
Ashamed of herself. If I was Grace or Matt I would have turned her into the police for that no matter what. That's disgusting idc how close he was to his 18th bday he was still a child. Blackmail is also wrong as well. On another note, I'm glad that it turns out I was right about Tony and Alice being mates.
Another lovely story about second chances. Grace is a bear shifter, trying to start a new life after getting out of prison. The last thing she expects is to come face to face with her fated mate. A millionaire bear shifter! How can fate unite 2 more opposite people. Highly recommended
I absolutely loved Grace and Matt's story. These stories to me are touching and real (just not the shifter part) to me anyway. There's something about reading that lets you connect to the characters and I love how Harmony Raines does that in these books.
Quite liked this one its the fifth in the series and while its not my favorite i still liked it.Grace had had a rough time and was still struggling to trust and feel worthy.i really liked Matt he just did not care what she had done just accepted her as she was.cute little book worth a read
I really enjoyed this story, so far all of these stories build on the first story of Dylan and Stephanie. a few glitches in confusion, because parts of a sentence are repeated which made me reread the sentence, other than that coudoes ms Raine's.
Definitely a good read but, it took me a bit to get into it. Did we ever discover what she did to go to jail? Maybe it was in the beginning and I forgot. They did get their HEA.
As usual a great little storyline and characters. Some series you can find that the storylines tend to stay the same but I have to admit that these characters experiences and issues are all different. Definitely a series worth reading :)
Okay so I loved every minute of this book. I loved th characters and the story line. Yet, I have to give it a four star review because the author does not reveal to the read what sent Grace to jail. I was waiting for it but it never came. Grace was so certain that Matt would turn her away for it but we don't know what it was. Aside from this huge missing detail, this book was great.
Especially when you're helping out the catering people who are feeding the wedding. Besides Matt is not what people would expect for her mate. Grace had lots of secrets and what was she going to do with a mate.
Grace was working an outdoor wedding on the wait staff, they were short one waitress. She was given two instructions. When your tray is empty of Champaign come back for more, and smile. Grace is not a smile person, on the inside or outside. She does not believe in marriage, not even the shifter kind. She does not believe in a lasting love. Matthew came to the wedding alone, he was going to be working with Dylan construction closely over awhile and he felt the need to come. He needed to come for a different reason, to find his mate. As soon as the ceremony is over, he makes his way over to talk with her. It was not a good first impression. Grace's work partner Jeb told her that not all people are like her parents. He was not sure you could call what her parents had a mating, anyway. Matt is a good man and she needs to give him a chance and herself a chance. Who can argue with fate? What did Grace do with Jeb' s advice? What did she do with her own bear's advice? All these answers can be yours when you devour pages as cookie monster devours cookies. I volunteered to review this ARC book using entirely my own opinion.
As shifter books go, bear shifters are my favorite. One of the best writers of bear shifter books is Harmony Raines. I don't know how many of her books I've read, but it's a lot. Fated and Mated stories are a favorite. I like that the stories don't drag on. Yes, there's conflict, but it doesn't drag on and on until your exasperated with the clueless H/ h. The characters are well developed and likable (except the villains, of course). Previous H/h's show up in later books in the series, so the reader gets an opportunity to follow the birth of new cubs, weddings and milestones in their lives, too. A thoroughly enjoyable series. I hope you'll give the Fated and Mated series a try.
Or will the mating bond win in the end? When curvy Grace meets millionaire Matt, at a wedding, they instantly recognize each other as their Fated mate. Problem is Grace doesn't want a mate.. She is an older offender, with a chip on her shoulder, and doesn't think she's good enough for anyone. Matt is a good guy who just doesn't care about Grace's past. He just wants his mate. Throw in a sleeve looking for a free ride and you have the makings of a disaster. Will these two ever work things out? I'm not telling. You're just going to have to read to find out.
A very enjoyable read. I loved this story and enjoyed the Pass it on Philosophy used in this book. Both Grace and Matt were great together and it was very clever of Ms Raines to never tell us why Grace had been in jail. Two opposites so suited for each other and I can see that with Matts support Grace will be a stronger more forceful and influential person in the years to come. Loved how Tessa was handled. It also made me very happy for Dylan’s story from book 1 to be resolved. I hope this is not the last of this series. This is my honest review of this book.
I really have enjoyed reading all of the Bear Bluff and Bear Creek stories. Ms. Raines has a way of making you feel like you are part of this magical shifter town. When billionaire Matt meets ex convince Grace, sparks fly...at least on his side. It looks like Grace might be a little stubborn when it comes to fated mates, happily ever after, and true love. Good thing Matt is a persistent Bear.
2 bear shifters completely different from each other but compliment each other perfectly in every way .
A woman on parole is given a job on a construction company that helps offenders with second chances an start building new lives for them selves . This woman meets her mate at a wedding while catering to the guest . To her astonishment her mate is a billionaire .18+
So glad that it all worked out in the end. Not just for one couple but two. Harmony just has a great brain to keep coming up with stories. Looking forward to the next one
I volunteered to review this book.Grace had very low self esteem, she had been in trouble and paid her debt in jail.Matt was an over confident person and liked to win at everything.Throw the two of them together and watch the sparks fly. This story is stool good.
I liked that Grace was able to feel loved after feeling unlovable for so long. I also like how Grace and Matt were able to get together despite their differences. I would have liked to hear Grace's speech, and know what she did to go to jail.
This series is about second chances. All kinds of second chances and at one time or another we all need them. I like the way these second chances in life are approached and dealt with.
It takes a lot of love to stand back and not push your mate to love you when they aren't ready to commit to what is right under the nose, but patient and cunning can do wonders if you can only wait.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has a great storyline. Can't wait for more from this author. I received this ARC copy FREE to read volunteerly for an honest review.
Boy does Matt have his hands full with Grace. All the male's of this series seem to have to fight for their right to claim their mate. Another fun filled adventure takes place, loved it.
