Charles Frazier Stanley was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. The only child of Charley and Rebecca Stanley, Charles came into the world during a time when the entire nation felt the grip of the Great Depression. To make matters worse, just nine months later, his father Charley died at the young age of 29.
However, Charles refused to let the Great Depression or the difficulties of his life define him. Instead, like his father and grandfather before him, he clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the gospel to whoever would listen.
Dr. Stanley’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24, “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”
Dr. Stanley’s teachings can be heard weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta, daily on “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” radio and television broadcasts on more than 2,800 stations around the world, on the Internet at intouch.org, through the In Touch Messenger, and in the monthly, award-winning In Touch magazine.

This is a beautiful, concise book about heaven from Dr. Charles Stanley.
The Gift of Heaven, Dr. Stanley’s first book on heaven, offers biblically based teaching and insights for anyone who has questions about God and what happens after we die. Although I can't agree with everything doctrinally, there is a lot of good in this book. It is beautifully published and will make a good gift for someone.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen! It is such a beautiful book visually but most of all in it's message.
The book is filled on each and every page with Dr. Stanley's gorgeous photographs. He is a true artist in his photography and I loved looking at each and every page. The message, though, is the most beautiful part.
I love how the Gospel is shared and how Dr. Stanley shares what we know about heaven from the Word of God. This would be an excellent book to share with someone that has questions about the saving grace of Jesus. It shows so beautifully what it means to have eternal life and answers so many questions. As someone who believes, I loved the promises that we know to be true shared in such an amazing way.
I love this book and have gone through it and read it and looked at the photos so many times. I'm keeping it on my coffee table so I can look through it but also for others to look through. It's a wonderful way to share the truths about heaven with others.
I highly recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars.

This isn't a devotional or a coffee-table style mini book. What it is, is a book that gives detailed descriptions and answers, according to Scripture, about heaven.
Many people often wonder about Heaven. Who will be there? Will we eat? Will we know anyone? What does it look like? Where is Heaven?
In the short 10 chapters, Charles Stanley answers each. Whereas, not all questions can be answered because we lack the information, he does provide a satisfactory answer to those unanswerable questions.

A Good Read to Focus on God
This book brought about a lot of emotions for me but most of all created food for thought about my relationship with Jesus, and ultimately to think about knowing God better with the end result of eternal life though Christ. The book is beautifully done with photographs of nature, and I am especially drawn to those with the ocean. I have been a child of God since I was a child, but I think this book while attempting to bring some understanding of heaven through scripture, really has a purpose of examining one's life through the lens of Jesus and devotion to Him. This is a very Christian book. A deep book with lots of food for thought. I walked a way with a sense of devotion and a need to know Jesus better. Maybe that is the purpose of the book overall.

This is a lovely book with beautiful pictures. The hardcover version is especially beautiful and would even make a nice display book on your coffee table. The book can be read as a devotional. Or you can read it all in one day, as the overall content is short. However, it is still a powerful book. It is encouraging to read, looking forward to the day when we will all be together in heaven. The book explains how we get to heaven, what it will be like, who we will see, and more. The book also helps the reader to have a deeper realization of how imperative it is that we spread the Good News of Jesus to others. Charles Stanley’s books are always full of insight. And this book was no exception.

Beautifully done. Beautiful artwork, well-written pages discussing what the Bible says about heaven. I can imagine this book being a comfort during a time of loss, and I might keep it for just that purpose.
It breaks my heart that Dr. Charles Stanley's son, Andy Stanley, has wandered so far from these Biblical teachings in his own teaching. I heard once that Charles and Andy were at odds over it, and that, too, is heartbreaking. But since this book is by Charles Stanley and not Andy Stanley, I won't get into where Andy's teaching departs from scripture.

My Aunt sent me this beautiful written book about Heaven 🙏🏼I started reading as soon as I received it. My Mom was in hospice and my Aunt felt this book would give me comfort 🙏🏼 and it surely has. I was just about finished reading this blessed book when I got the phone call that my Mom had died this evening💔 I highly recommend this glorious book to give spiritual love from Dr Charles F Stanley, his book on Heaven 🙏🏼 I know that Mom is in heaven with my Dad and all her loved ones… I will see her one day in Heaven ❤️

The author is knowledgeable about a topic most of us could not really understand. Using the Bible to interpret things is wonderful, but I am not sure of the accuracy when someone chooses to take passages in theories. I feel like this is an encouraging book that will help believers to find a place that will bring peace after death.

A summary of what heaven will be like, according to scriptures.
I felt comfort in reading this book after my dad passed away, knowing that we all have a home in heaven someday if we are born again.

This book was a gift from two friends. It's a beautiful book with great images set behind words about Heaven. Charles Stanley explores Bible verses that discuss Heaven. It's a concise, easy to read book that seems very straight-forward and comforting.

I love Charles Stanley's teachings and books, this one is no exception! As much as we all long to Be in Heaven with our creator, this book Is all about Heaven, And what heaven will be like. Charles really puts it into your mind how glorious heaven will truely be. I love that he also puts scriptures along with everything he is saying!! Heaven Is going to be more magical then any of us can really comprehend!!! ♡
