Its rounded, cloth-covered speakers seemed to echo faintly of bygone Depression-era days. Its black knobs whispered to her with the promise of sound. And so Dallas bargained, fussed, and possibly paid too much for it. But only after she brought it home did Dallas hear it play the silent scream of utter evil …

What a fine gem I luckily discovered with this book. It's about a haunted radio and it has a hell of a story to tell. Quick read, typical 80s horror, page turning suspense and excitement. Reading the book is like watching a good horror movie. Clear recommendation and not my last book of the author who formerly was published as Jean Simon.
