Good compilation of short stories of management wisdom by a first time author
Mandar Chitre's first book, Don't Jump to conclusions contains nine short stories which have morals but don't preach to the reader.
Chitre's repertoire shines through the book with company policy, corporate corruption, greed and several other subjects forming the theme of his stories.
I liked the easy flow, simple language and relatable narration of all the stories in the book. If you have worked in Indian companies each story will bring you back memories from your career.
Mandar Chitre, the management consultant and professor remains in the background of the stories when we glean his management wisdom that he has peppered the book with.
Chitre has a kern eye, a great memory and wonderful skill of weaving his tales of everyday life at work in India. I found his nine stories authentic and provoking my thought on what I would have done in the situations the book describes.
I recommend this book to all management students and professionals for learning and recounting their experiences.
We need more such books from Mandar and other authors with experience of Indian working life.
