Someone is detonating bombs in the city of Kelowna. There appears to be no MO, which has baffled investigators. Not knowing where the next explosive will be planted and how many more will people will die, the authorities turn to Sarah Roberts.
On Sarah’s last trip to Kelowna, she antagonized a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who was later murdered. There’s a certain element on the force that doesn’t want any help from Sarah.
Sarah comes anyway, struggling to balance what her sister tells her and what she’s capable of doing when several officers stand in the way of progress. After a bold attempt on her life, Sarah is forced to work alone to stop the homegrown terrorist striking fear in the citizens of Kelowna.
What she can’t account for is the motive behind the bombings and the sinister—even demonic—man who is willing to stop at nothing to get what he wants. And what he wants is a place beside the Devil himself. Lucifer is his master on earth as he is in Hell.
When Vivian is blocked from Sarah’s consciousness—fresh off their recent Pact in Denmark where Sarah understood they’d be closer than ever before—Sarah endeavors to understand who from the Other Side is capable of such a thing. Not much scares Sarah Roberts anymore, but when she discovers the truth behind what really happened when she and Vivian made their pact, she’s frightened to the core.

I gave this book a 5 star rating because it keeps you thinking, what's going to happen next!! I have a hard time putting the book down!!We love Sarah Roberts and her sister and what they stand for!! Jonas has a way of bringing his characters to life where you think you really know them. I love his books and can't wait till the next!! Thank you Jonas!!! I would recommend this book to all who love to read!!
The Terror, Book 18 in the Sarah Roberts Saga proves to be more intense than the previous offerings. This time, The Terror is homegrown as the author spins the saga in a well-crafted tapestry of concertina wire, the tension of the coiled structure mercilessly hooking the reader with not one hook but many; trapping them deeper within the barbed spines of the story. It was a not-to-be-put-down-page-turner.
What can one say? When an author writes many stories about the same character you would expect it to be monotonous. Not here though Jonas Saul continues to thrill, as he evolves his characters into legend not just stories. I have read several other books by other authors while waiting for Jonas' latest, and it takes a few days to get through them, however with Jonas' books I pick them up and can't put them down. Excellent writing sir. Your talent is appreciated.
Sarah Roberts, Super Hero jumps into a diabolical scheme orchestrated by a mad man on page one and fills every page with tension and excitement until the very end. Who else can save an entire city from a mad bomber by putting her very life on the line? The Sarah Roberts series is truly awesome. Thanks Jonas!
I have read all the Sarah Roberts books. This was a good story. Jonas Saul has taken us to the next level. Sara now sees dead people. The end of the book was a bit of a cliff hanger promising 2 more adventures in the near future. As always I enjoyed Sara and her adventure to save the world from the bad guys.
This was a great book I am always ready for the next book. They keep your interest till the end. I had stumbled onto this series by accident glad I did. I have read the whole series. I hope you keep the series going Mr. Saul thank you.
I finished it in 4 hours. I couldn't put it down! Just keeps getting better! WTG Jonas! Bring on the next! I may reread this one as it is my favorite so far!
Sorry, but I can't resist a good (or bad) play on words. I liked the new addition of help from the beyond. Jonas Saul's after notes on bullies stirred up some negative memories for me. Unfortunately, I had two major bullies in my life who I couldn't escape because I lived with them: my father and my sister. Fortunately., however, I was able to achieve closure with my sister and forgive her. We are now true sisters and best friends. Although the hurt is still there I did forgive my father but that came after his death. Another connection in this book for me was the man with Lewy Body Dementia. My mother has advanced Alzheimer's. It is difficult to see her struggles so my heart goes out to that man.
Another great story be Saul, bringing Sarah back to her roots. She wasn’t as sharp in her physical abilities as I’d-like but it was better than the last couple of books. After her death and revival she has more connections with the other side, which opens more options for Saul’s stories. This was a very enjoyable read. 5
The ante has been upped yet again as Sarah's abilities continue to develop in ways even Vivian cannot explain.... Where does she go from here? As many live are saved, others are lost. And at times, Sarah walks the narrow line of death herself, slipping and sliding in and out...
I know what to expect with Sarah, but then it gets upped another level. Just enough unknown, toss in a few subtle hints to make me feel smug, but always left me wanting to turn the next page!
New enimies, old stories brought back to life in a new way. New physic powers brought to light in a brand new way. What wasn't to love about this book. Except of course the bad guys
This series is amazing. The further I go into the series the more I like Jonas and the way he writes. Looking forward to reading even more from him soon.
This is my 1st time reading a book by Jonas Saul . It has a high rating mark by the readers so I was sure I am going to like it. Problem was I didn’t take into consideration that most readers rating the book are from the USA. American readers love ghost, murder and fantasy books. I don’t. This book has all those ingredients and more. We have a serial killer, that is killing people left and right without us knowing why. We have a psychic investigator with a ghost telling her every step the killer may take. The woman investigator has a “Super woman” power has well. Now we are adding a corrupt policeman to chase the woman that is helping the police tracing down the killer, and we have a story. A mathematical equation with known variable and solution. I found the characters very boring. The story itself is not believable to say the least. All the twists are predictable. I was reading about 2/3 of the book. I leafed through the rest of it, all was predicted. No surprises.
