Her views/thoughts/perspectives etc align with mine. I learned many new things. She gave many exercises for you to practice throughout the book, which are quite beneficial. Far from preachy. Informative as well as interesting. She did well writing it and mixing personal stories in to help show benefits/how it works etc.
This little book was a great inspiration to me and a really good pep-talk that I need to remember. The book itself is positive energy and it will lift you up.
I picked up this book in the beginning of another spiritual awakening. It helped me see so many aspects of myself and the world in a light that makes me feel more aligned with my higher self. I will continue to refer to it when I need those reminders. I highly recommend it for anyone who feels a little lost, needs some inner guidance, or simply wants to tap into some positive energy!
I loved this book as a reminder of the power of positivity (haha). There is nothing new depending on your previous readings and there were definitely some brow raising bits thrown in here and there. Overall, a good message!
This is definitely one of my favorite books up to date. It's a staple item in my recommendation list & I can't rave enough about it to all of my friends. It's so uplifting & it shows you the ways the universe is constantly supporting you .
It was helpful, and I do use some of the exercises on the regular before I read about it in this book but I find it was difficult to pick it up to read as it felt like some of the chapters dragged on.
I love Tanaaz and have been following her blog ForeverConscious.com for about a year now. So happy to finally read her book, full of sweet gems of uplifting wisdom. I love her “chapter wrap-ups” at the end of each chapter to help you take the time to reflect on what you just read and really integrate the practices.
A couple of my favorite quotes I wrote down:
“Awakening is magical and beautiful, but it can also be painful because it requires you to come face to face with all the fears and past hurts that you may have buried away, denied, or ignored. In order to awaken to who you are, you have to peel back all the layers that you have collected over the years and start seeing yourself as you truly are.”
“To understand every nuance and to dissect every thought would take a lifetime, so eventually we have to stop digging and just start living. We all have pains, we all have hurts, we all have traumas. Sometimes you have to just accept where you are and start loving yourself for exactly who you are, flaws, pains, and all.”
Hands down one of my favorite books! Tanaaz’s writing feels so nurturing and loving, it emanates motherly energy. This book helped me heal the traumatizing 2 years of pandemic, depression and work through university when I was having academic difficulties.
some chapters describe aspects of life and breaks them down into small easy to grasp concepts + there’s a ton of exercises and hands-on activities that really helped.
this book goes with me everywhere and I go back to it frequently, my copy is full of notes that I can skim through to help me recharge or find guidance/advice/tips to deal with specific issues/situations. I highly recommend this book! it was a delicious and careful read. I’m planning on rereading it before the end of the year <3
Don't read this book if you have ever suffered. If smiling when that ceepy guy at the bar tells you to makes you happy and warm inside, you will love this book. If I could leave zero stars I would. I only came back onto goodreads to leave this review. I am positive it is bad. Read Meditations by Marcus Aurelius instead. The cover is pretty though.
I loved this book. There was nothing really new in here for me, since I love these types of books... however I think with quarantine and working from home for so long it was a good reminder and motivator.
I’ve had this book for so long and never got around to finishing it but recently I’ve been struggling with falling into a negative mindset (which is completely not me) and I picked it up. Helped so much, has some great points and it’s a book I’ll always go back for!
This book really helped me to change my perspective on certain aspects in life and allowed me to understand not everything will go perfectly. I found the little exercises in it where actually super useful too.
I needed this book! As my journey strengthens... I thoroughly enjoyed the exercises throughout the book. I like homework and exercises that encourages me to take action!
I genuinely felt my outlook changing as I read this book and resonated with its teachings. I like how it also offers journal and meditation exercises to help you practice.
The paperback design of this book is very attractive. This book has made a large impact on my life already. There were some questions that I had pertaining to the spiritual journey this book gave me clarity. I really enjoyed doing the exercises in this book as well. Great read !!!!
