A PROVENCAL CHRISTMAS: A Maggie Newberry Short Story

This was a very moving story. I have read all of The Maggie Newberry stories and was pleased that Maggie and Laurent with their kids are living a wonderful and fulfilling life. I miss Maggie's adventures in solving murders. I await her next case.

You left us with a cliffhanger, will there be one called A Provençal New Year? I want to know what Grace sent, why the parents didn't go to Cabo ....

The only thing wrong with this delightful short story was that it was too short! I always want more of Maggie and the little details of her life with her husband, her children, and their small Provençal village St-Buvard. But now I have to wait for more till the next mystery in the series will be automatically sent to my Kindle in February.

(One brief mention of the result of the 2016 American presidential election brought the story current with Maggie having to apologize to her French guests for the President-elect and at another point welcoming a Syrian refugee couple into her home for the holidays.......thank you Susan! )

A Real French Country Christmas

I am a fan of Susan Kiernan_Lewis' Maggie Newberry stories and therefore have the background of her books. This story soars way above her novels in that she hits the true nature of the the people in provincial France in today's world and the real meaning of Christmas. You will want to read the Maggie Newberry series and each Christmas reread this retelling of the Christmas story.
