When a suspected terrorist is detained by airport security, the only clue to his true identity is a scrap of paper in his wallet...
A mysterious businessman arrives alone on a flight from Turkey with little luggage and a story that sounds plausible enough – except for one extraordinary detail.
His passport has been issued by a country that doesn’t exist.
Time to call in former Special Forces interrogator, Tom Blake to uncover the truth.
Blake, now working for a covert anti-terrorism government agency, has a unique skill for loosening tongues - but even he’s at a loss to solve this mystery.
The only clue is an address in the man’s wallet of dissident Russian academic, Alexei Polzin.
Polzin claims he knows nothing about the stranger, even when he becomes the target of a merciless team of assassins who believe the men have been in contact.
Who or what is he trying to protect? And why do the Russians want both men dead so badly?
The key is keeping Polzin alive long enough to persuade him to talk.
But with danger lurking around every corner, it might be an impossible mission.
Based on the urban legend ‘The Man from Taured’, The Viper’s Strike is a gripping thriller that twists and turns from the first page until the last.Easy to read, impossible to put down.
Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Vince Flynn, Daniel Silva, JB Turner, Stephen Leather, Andy McNab, Chris Ryan and Mark Dawson.
Adrianhas been a journalist for 20 years but writing has been in his blood from since he was old enough to put pencil to paper. He tried to satisfy the need to write by working on a host of weekly and daily regional newspapers. He currently works in regional television news, and is married to fellow author, Amanda Wills. They live in Kent with their two children, Oliver and Thomas, and their two cats.
Simply Brilliant. Adrian Wills certainly know how to write an interesting and entertaining Action Thriller. This is the third book that I have read in this fabulous series, and I’ve really enjoyed each one of them. I like the fact that his stories aren’t predictable, and there is always something happening to capture my attention. Tom Blake isn’t too thrilled initially about getting pulled from one assignment that he hadn’t completed, to start another one. However he’s very intrigued by Neno Kasun, who has entered the UK on a fake passport. Trying to get the real reason Neno has come to London is proving a lot tougher than Tom is used to, and it’s not long until they find out that there are some pretty dangerous men involved. Then to top it off Tom’s boss is expecting him to work with another two MI5 agents. Tom would much rather work alone, however he is used to taking orders from Harry, and in this case it might even keep him alive. From start to finish this is an exceptional book, and I would certainly recommend it.
This the third book of the series and it excels the previous ones, though they are also great. I highly recommend to get the books for yourself so you can see how exciting all of them are. Mr Wills is very talented author and I hope he has more Tom Blake Thrillers. Can't wait for the next one to be published.
Poor ending. It ends as if a chapter has been edited out. Until this a good read. Ends with anti climax. Blake should really do training on how not to loose his weapon.
A thoroughly engaging read and something of real quality.
This is the second book I've read by this author, having first read Deep Sleepers. It's certainly my style of book, with great pacing, interesting plot and a page turning story that keeps you reading, wanting to find answers!
Definitely an author I'm keeping an eye on from now on!
Blake has the ability to see into the minds of men, but when he is stumped, that doesn't spell good for anyone. Another amazing story that keeps you reading until the end and waiting for more.
The tension ratchets up to a painful level, especially when the assassin finally seems to be holding all the cards. The scene moves between an interrogation room, an hotel room, safe houses and a church, with the good guys and the mark barely a step ahead of almost certain death. And a rookie helps to save the day. Good plot and pace.
I received this book from InstaFreebies and absolutely LOVED IT so wanted to give a review. This is a very interesting fast paced book lots of intrigue can't wait to read more in the series but I believe its a great read on its on :-)
An excellent thriller. Part spy, part detective, Tom Blake works for MI5 and is pulled into a mystery that starts with a traveler from a nonexistent country - at least according to the man's passport. The action takes off from there and keeps you interested throughout the story. I'm looking forward to getting the next book in the series. Note that this is a complete story and not one of those teaser books to make you buy the next book to finish the story.
Adrian Wills is definitely an author I'm going to keep my eye on. I stumbled across his books by sheer accident on Amazon and wow am I glad I decided to check him out! Out of 3 books and a novella that I've read I've not been disappointed. This book was just another shining example. Blake gets teamed up with two new agents and he is not happy. They aren't happy that he won't give them a chance. Against Blake's wishes they team up to protect a Russian under the protection of the British government from an assassin. Along the way, there are a lot of twists that take you and the characters for a ride. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and finished in a day. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes spy thrillers with lots of testosterone.
