I’m not someone who makes bucket lists, but if I was, this book has me covered when it comes to hiking.

The best part about this book is the stunning photography. The content focusses on the experience of the trails, instead of giving a lot of in-depth information. Which is fine by me. I’m not going to remember those details anyway.

One minor downside is the slight focus on North America. Other parts of the world are covered, but not as thoroughly.

The book contains a selection of beautiful trails and stunning photos. It doesn’t contain much particularly useful information for planning but it’s a great idea generator. Also a delightful way to appreciate the outstanding beauty of our planet.

My Christmas/New Years gift from friends. It really warmed my heart to see my beloved treks in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (+CH) featured in the book. The photography throughout is stunning (hard to put into words) and I hope/wish to see/experience a number of these rugged mountain ranges/the magic featured across the globe in person.
