Max will sacrifice anything for his future.

For years, the only constant Max Jacobs has had in his life has been football. It's the one thing he's always been able to count on, the one place he feels good about himself. Now, playing college ball with a chance at more, he has no intentions of revealing the secret he's kept for so long and putting his future at risk... until he's confronted with an unexpected temptation from his past.

Logan wants nothing more than to escape his past.

Moving away to college was supposed to be Logan Wilson's ticket to freedom. Finally out from under his older brother's shadow, away from his controlling parents, and free from the toxic boyfriend who had kept him twisted up in knots for so long, he's managed to shed all the people who have held him back. He just never expected freedom to be so damn lonely.

Sometimes, love is all about timing.

If Logan can overcome a lifetime of insecurities and accept the love he deserves, it might just give Max the strength he needs to choose the kind of love he didn't think he'd ever find.

Running Back to Him: I enjoyed this college story about a jock, Max, and his tutor and friends younger brother, Logan. I loved the chemistry between them. I am a sucker for childhood crush stories and who hasn't had a crush on one of their sibling's friends.

This seemed very high school rather than college romance. The characters were strong though and the story line good. Max was your typical jock questioning himself and also how everyone would react to the revelation of him being gay.
I didn't like Greg at all and wondered about his involvement in the book I think the story could have been told without him. He didnt actually bring anything to the book. Even his threat didn't do much.
I enjoyed this book I think the length contributed to the lack of stars I think if there had been more character development the story would have been improved.
I do enjoy Dylan's books though and will look out for the next.

A sweet and beautiful short story. The story line was strong and very well written. The characters were well developed and very believable. Max was a junior in college and a valuable football player. He always straddled the line of academic probation and football. His coach ordered him to get a tutor or else. During freshman orientation he was one of the speakers. Then he saw Logan. Max had known Logan in high school always being there for Logan and warding off the bullies. Max always knew he felt something for Logan. When he talks to Logan he invites him to his apartment. He ask Logan to be his tutor for calculus. So their story begins. Max was never sure about his sexuality, but with Logan he wanted him. Max was still in the closet and afraid of what anyone would think. Logan's ex-boyfriend shows up with rage and verbally goes after Logan. But Max shows up letting him know that Logan was his boyfriend. This is their real beginning and what they both really wanted. Then a picture of them kissing surfaces warning Max that if they don't breakup it will go public. Logan won't let Max make that choice. The time apart is a reckoning time for Max. Is Logan important enough to him to come out?? A great story of coming out and a love meant to be. Highly recommend this story of MM love. Great Read. ❤️important enough to him to come out?? A short and sweet insta-love novella that is just about perfect. Max is a football player in college and Logan is an incoming freshman. They went to high school together, but never really interacted. Logan is out and Max isn't, but a mutual attraction brings them together.  They're willing to see if a relationship will work, but Logan's emotionally abusive ex will do everything in his power to destroy what they're building. Max is going to have to decide if he wants to be an openly gay athlete or if what he and Logan have just started will have to come to an abrupt end.

There's a bit of angst in this book, but since it's a novella, things get cleared up pretty quickly. I found this afternoon read quite enjoyable and I'm looking forward to more works from this author.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Junior football player Max is miserable hiding who he is and itnseems like is life iis falling apart. Freshman Logan is anxious about starting college, living in the dorms and being away from home alone to the the point of having anxiety attacks. They run into each other on campus after not seeing each other for two years and sparks fly and they both feel at ease. Can they find happiness iin each other. "Running Back to Him" is a delightful short story babout being true to ones self. It shows how believing in yourself and living your life the way you want instead of in fear of what others think make all the difference in the world when it comes to happiness, 4.5 stars. Kind of junior highish(?), but a really sweet story.

This book was a really cute story, although rather idealistic regarding acceptance. I just loved Logan. His personality was so delightful, I could have fallen for him (lol). I loved the way he had confidence in the bedroom, while still being very shy in public. I liked Max, but I could never get a picture of him in my mind. His character was a bit too fluffy (for want of a better word). Cute story though.

Sweet

If you are looking for a romance filled with love and acceptance then this is a must read. Very little drama quite a bit of angst and longing with an hea that will make your hopeless romantic soul sigh! O and of course the hot as hell sex scenes spice it up just enough to make your blood zing. Happy reading and thank you Mr. Hunter for sharing your words!
