I’ve always loved those books where the younger sister falls for her older brother’s friend. Those stories have played a key role in my fantasies since my divorce six years ago. Unfortunately, I don’t have an older brother. I have a younger brother, and his best friend, Luke, has always been more annoying than attractive. At least, that’s how I’d seen him in the past.

H, Luke – 24 years old, h, Chelsea – 30 years old
I liked the 1st book better.
So much happened here, I didn’t get some twists – but maybe it’s not you, it’s me…
This hero was not my favorite. He was caring and sweet, but he often behaved like a kid. Some of his decisions were mature, but many of his actions were childish. Star Wars boxers? Stealing h’s panties? Give me a break! *lol*
It made his character funny, but it didn’t help to smooth the age difference between MCs. And the connection was a bit bizarre – he was a stepson of her gf Brook and BFF of her younger brother Ty. Capisco?
So much sexual experience with only 24? Nerd guy who knew a bondage-play und practiced it often? Did I want to read about his sex-life when the heroine was celibate for the last 6 years? Not likely…
I won’t comment much on the baby-story. His father’s gf offered him to adopt her child = his sister. Sounds like a soap opera to me. But his decision to keep the little girl was admirable.
I liked the love story, but didn’t love it. Cute epilogue.

Naughty At 30 can be read as a standalone so if you haven’t read Dirty At 30 don’t freak out but I would say you may like it a tad bit more if you do read the previous book just to get a better understanding of the history and connections between the characters involved.
After finishing Dirty At 30 I was really wanting Luke and Chelsea’s story. It started out strong, I loved it more than I loved the previous book, but somewhere along the way it sort of fell flat. Don’t get me wrong it is still an enjoyable read but I think too many things started to take place and I was just unable to stay fully invested especially when Chelsea would act a certain way, after a while she did tend to get on my nerves. I will however take Luke and his nerdy self and his sword. When you read the book you will understand the reference.
While I may not have loved it as much as I had wanted too I do still recommend this book for anyone looking for a older woman younger man romance that is also erotic and at times funny.

This was definitely a second chance love story of finding what you think you would never have. There story was a perfect second book to the Naughty series. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the series because if the last two books were any indication the next will be even better . This book definitely says it’s never too late to start over and find love and happiness.

Chelsea's story is good as a stand alone... but it wouldn't hurt to read Dirty at 30 to get to know all the players in this book.
Chelsea and her friends have made a pact to start dating again. One of her friends, Brook has already found her man in Chelsea's younger brother TY. Figuring she will never go looking on her own, her friends set her up on a dating site. Brook , knowing her stepson Luke has always had a thing for her, directs him to her profile and suggests he contact her. He does and even though she is a bit resistant, they end up dating. I found this the better of the two books so far, there is more meat to the story and something I didn't see coming. You do get a slight hint...but not what you expect.
This series is getting better and I look forward to Delaneys story next.

Definitely follows the same flow of book 1, Dirty at 30. I liked the details in this book better.
The banter and heat between Chels and Lucas is hard not to smile at or even laugh out loud as you read this. Lucas' clinginess is kind of irritating but understandable, given his abandonment issues with his parents. Speaking of his parents, his dad is an ass to say the least.
There was a huge plot twist towards the end. Let's just say, nothing else got done until I was finished with this book.

Luke is a science teacher and he has had a crush on Chelsea for a long time. Chelsea is his best friends older sister. Chelsea just sees him as another annoying younger brother that liked to steal her panties.

LOVE THIS SERIES!
If you are not reading this series you really need to start it NOW. Cassandra Lawson has done a fabulous job at keeping her readers engaged on this rollercoaster of sexy fun! I have laughed out loud so many times at the shenanigans this cast has been up to and swoon at these sexy men.

One of my favorite things about this series is that the leading ladies are not weak and broken. They are slightly tarnished by the way men have treated them in the past. They are also a force to be reckoned with. No one stands a chance once these ladies set their minds to something.
Naughty at 30 was about Chelsea and Luke. These two have known each other for years. Chelsea alway thought of Luke as her brother's pervy best friend who stole her underwear! When Chelsea finally caved into a date and sweet boy Luke I did a happy dance. Luke swooped in and wooed her with his funny antics through the dating app. Chelsea had no interest in hooking up with anyone until she stumbled upon Luke.
Luke knew exactly how to make Chelsea laugh and become comfortable talking to him. The teasing and banter between them were great to read.
Here is one of my favorite scenes in the beginning. Oh, the banter!!

The bond that Luke is Chelsea created was more than just hot sex! I loved how even if they did not realize it yet, they were comfortable and relied on each other. They became this great duo.
And let me tell you, there is some serious fan yourself moments ladies and gents! Luke definitely knew how to drive Chelsea mad with his sexy ways. This man knew how to work up his girl with sexy talk and threats of a good ol' spanking!
If you are looking for a new book series to keep you in stitches, has hot sexy scenes, and a great cast to keep you smiling then this book is for you!

This second book in the "Love without Batteries" series picks up on the second friend of the three besties, Chelsea and her love interest Luke. Chelsea is Ty's sister and Luke is Brooks stepson from book one. Unbeknownst to Chelsea, Luke has had a crush on her since high school and has had a bit of an obsession with her panties as well. Although he's hidden it all these years, he has finally decided to make a play on her after she finally kicked her first sleaze ball of a husband to the curb. Luke's returned home to take a high school science teacher job, and Chelsea has her own photography business. There are some definite hot and sexy times between the photographer and the teacher and I love the dynamics of their relationship. But they also have Chelsea's ex and Luke's father (who returned after a decade away from both Brook-his wife- and Luke) causing all kinds of trouble for this couple. These books are so fun and quirky, and also well worth the read. I'm enjoying this series even more with each book.

I enjoyed this story. There were times I wanted more from Chelsea. I loved Lucas even though at times he acted a bit childlike.
The chemistry was off the charts! I loved how Luke went after what he wanted and I completely understand that Chelsea had to stop and decide what role she wanted in Luke's life. It woundn't be an easy decision for anyone.
I look forward to reading Delanys story!

Loved the story well written and plot flowed at a good paxe. I loved rhe banter between the two main characters and the way they gelled as a couple but also the spanner that gets thrown in was well executed.
I didnt know when i started this that Naughty at 30 was actually book 2 so i am reading in a different order too and hoping they can be read as standalones.

What is this obsession with spanking?
Seriously. I just don't get it.
This installment of the Love without Batteries series follows Luke and Chelsea. They were a likeable, believable couple. But I couldn't seem to get past my initial impression of Luke as Brook's stepson, even though she was only 5 years older than him. Despite the fact that the age difference was about the same as that between Brook and Ty, I kept getting hung up on the idea that Luke was Chelsea's best friend’s stepson! Therefore, every time they had sex I felt vaguely uncomfortable. Adding spanking to that dynamic just made it weird.
At the times when I was able to ignore my tendency to view Luke as I would my own son, I had an easier time getting into the story. I guess my feelings towards Luke are a testament to how well Cassandra Lawson portrayed the relationship between Brook and Luke so that I identified with her.
This book held some interesting surprises, one in particular, which I won't spoil. Luke was amazingly well-balanced and mature, especially considering his dad. Portraying him as a middle school science teacher helped further the image of a full-fledged, responsible adult. This was a great balance to Chelsea's artistic tendencies and uncertainties. I also loved her self-sufficiency. I found the recurring theme of Luke as a panty thief amusing.
I'm looking forward the reading the last in this series, Sultry at 30, all about Delaney (despite the inevitable spanking). I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
