I loved this Shaw family! All their shenanigans and secrets reminded me of a typical family gathering. It reminds us of just how harmful secrets can be. The drug issue with Jessie and Shay hit home with me. My grandson mother just died from a drug overdose. My grandson was born addicted and one year later he’s a very smart energetic Lil fella. So I was smiling when their baby was born drug free but sad about Shay. Even though the family had a lot of secrets, there was an equal dose of love and forgiveness. I’m hoping on hearing more from them.
Wow...this was a great story. It wonderfully highlighted the many imperfections that come from and contribute to beautiful, strong families. Infidelity, sexual orientation, fertility issues, drug addiction, learning how to love, and domestic violence have or still are issues in my own family. The way this family handled these things was a wonderful example of how to embrace the imperfect beauty of our own families.
Omg I really enjoyed this book! This book was good and had plenty of messiness! The Shaw siblings were something else! I absolutely loved Momma Shaw she was not to be played with! I think my favorite sibling was Joy. She was so sweet and loved all her siblings a lot. I’m so happy that she was able to finally get the one thing she wanted most in life. I hated to see this book end!
Love love this book. Dynamics were great and I love the interaction between the siblings and very the interaction bethe parents. It was like a real family.
Love the interaction between the siblings and the parents. If was like a real family. Book was well written. Kudos
The adventure started right out the gate and continued on till the end. All while sprinkled with much drama. Now, I have to be honest, I was a little pissed at some of these crazy situations. But hey, that's what made it all worth the read.
This is not your average Christmas story but I loved every minute of it and am now invested in these characters. A whirlwind of emotions and very hilarious. I could not put it down Sabrina gets my vote...Will be reading more of her stories
The Seven Shaw Siblings story was a new type of Christmas story. Josh was one of the seven, the arrogant one. Josh was a serial infidelity expert. His scene began with him having sex in his truck. This episode will have far reaching consequences. Jessie was a dope fein hanging on to his lifestyle by a thread. His life turns out better than expected. Joy and her husband were having issues with conception. Their issue with hold prominence in the story as well. The twins Jahleal and Jolee were both college student, both standouts in their respective sports. Jolee had a secret she feared her parents would find offensive. Jordyn was the singer with the abusive boyfriend \manager. Jasper was a special agent with the police. He was mysterious and most interesting of all the characters. I hope to hear from him in a future story. Overall the story was fun, sad at times, and gave readers a different kind of holiday story with a delightful twist.
