It has been a while since I visited Tess and Q. They're one of my favorite couples and I'm so happy that Ms. Winters provided this delicious little tidbit to ease my withdrawl symptoms. I can't get enough of these two!
Taking place following 'Tears of Tess', this is a short and sweet bonus told from Tess' POV. She has just returned to Q, deciding to remain his esclave on a permanent basis. What ensues is a couple of very steamy sex scenes and some heartfelt moments between the two.
To reorient readers, Ms. Winters also included the Q's epilogue from 'Tears of Tess'. Reading it, I had no problem remembering exactly where the story had left off and getting right back into it.
If you haven't read 'Tears of Tess', this short "extra" probably won't have much meaning to you. If you're a fan of the 'Monsters in the Dark' series, you'll probably love this freebie. I know that I did. It was like an early Christmas gift from Ms. Winters to her fans.

Nothing to it
I love Pepper but there isn't much to this "book" . A scene from "Tears of Tess" and a few chapters from a couple other books is all that is included. I loved all of the others but this one wasn't worth my time.

This epilogue definitely brought back fond memories of Tess and Q. They had an interesting arrangement of pain and pleasure. Re-reading how Q broke Tess and Tess accepting his darkness was a fond reminder of the type of story that was very dark. The epilogue offered one chapter in Tess's point of view when Tess returned to Q.

As I am into this series now, this book was a helpful transition.
More sex scenes and I hope to God there will be less of these in Book 3, I can't handle anything dripping from between her thighs from him breathing air, nor him coming in his jeans if she told him I am yours.
These get old too fast.

OMG!! I love this series sooooo very much. I have read it several times now and still love it as much as I did the first time. This bonus Epilogue was so great to read, I could never get enough of Tess and Q!
Ms. Winter’s work was the first ‘dark’ romance that I had ever read, and I was hooked. No ifs, buts or maybes- I was completely under her deliciously dark spell, and through her, my reading world expanded to include books with a darker and edgier tone.
Her books are breathtaking, mesmerizing, and incredibly addictive. I was devouring each of her books and thinking to myself that I shouldn’t like what I was reading, but I DID- I loved it- and couldn’t put the book/s down. I had to know what would happen. In every book I read, Ms. Winters tears me apart and then slowly, piece by piece, puts me back together again.
Her stories are definitely not for the faint of heart- they are not fluffy lolly pops and rainbow romances. They are intense, overwhelming, gritty, raw, brutal, erotic, emotionally devastating- with electrically charged chemistry that sizzles right off the pages. Ms. Winters made me want things that I had never considered before. And I liked it.
Reading her books is a sensory experience, everything is heightened, at times I felt like my nervous system was in overload. My heart’s in my mouth and I am on the very edge of my seat with wide eyes, dry mouth and heart palpitations. Sometimes the story got so intense that I felt I needed to close my eyes, but still I kept reading. ALL of her stories are on my favourite reads list- and she is my go to, one click, I don’t care if it’s her shopping list I’m going to read it, author. If you haven’t read her work before, do yourself a favour and take a walk on the ‘dark’ side- she really is an exceptional author….but be warned, her stories contain subject matter that may cause triggers for some people. All I can recommend is to buckle up, because you’re in for a ride you won’t ever forget!
I cannot recommend this book/series highly or strongly enough. If you like a ‘darker’ read, you will love this book- and if you are looking for something to add some intense flavour to your otherwise vanilla existence- then this book/series is definitely the one for you!!
