From bestselling author Meg Jackson...

Ash is the President of the Dogs of War, but he's kept his past a secret from the rest of the town, even those closest to him. His family runs the North Carolina chapter of one of the most powerful motorcycle clubs in the south, The Southern Sons. He was next in line to take control of the club, but after his mother's death he wanted no part of the lifestyle that killed her. Now, he's in the exact position he'd tried to avoid.

Cyn has finally gotten the courage to return to her hometown. With her sister turning tricks for the Devil's Due and her brother dead at their hands, she knows that she'll never find peace until she makes things right. She plans on getting her sister back from the Devil's Due's clutches, and finding some way to avenge her brother.

Their love, and the tension between the gangs, explode all at once.

Note: I received an advanced copy in return for my honest review.

If you haven't read anything by Meg Jackson - this is a totally good place to start. The book is a great read, and although it helps to have read her previous books to just make the whole experience better (ie. recognizing certain characters and having a better understanding of what you're "walking into").

The characters are well writen, as is the plot. It's a Bad Boy Motorcycle Romance Book. It fits all those things and is a great read. I really enjoyed it and if you haven't read any books before by the author this is not a bad place to start. You aren't lost and it can totally be a standalone.

It wasn't super long but not too short that I felt myself cheated in the least. I was into the story by end of the first chapter and I really found myself wanting to get page to page to find out what would happen next.

It's hard to do - but I really dont like inclding anything in my reviews that can spoil your experience reading. So I don't mention possible emotional situations or mention parts that while aren't the plot itself are all part of the story. I will say, you'll find more than one emotion felt as you go through it and the author Meg Jackson does a really good job of making her characters real - you get how/why they feel as they do.

So whether you like romance, bad boy romance, MC romance or obviously Bad Boy Biker MC Romance books - you'll like this.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book**
Meg Jackson does not disappoint with Ash!! Cyn left town for a "better life", but found all she needed was to be with Ash. He has his own baggage that could destroy, not only his relationship with Cyn, but with his MC. Great read, compelling, fast, and sexy. I know another shoe will drop with Ash's blood family, I can't wait for the next book. Great job Meg!!

An enjoyable action packed MC story which will undoubtedly have another installment. One downside for me however was that the book seemed to be top heavy with the steamy sex scenes. I found myself skimming over the sex scenes in order to get back to the story - which was good.

No

The original story Ash would have been a great read if it didn't seem like someone was telling you a story, with a few lines of dialogue put in it. Not very believable either
