Shadowed #1.5

Shadowed Truth

Rate this book
He was handsome, charming, and sweet- everything Elaine could have asked for- but he also had a secret. One that would rip them apart just when they should have been starting their lives together.

Elaine is living a decent life when a charming scoundrel named Darren asks her out, sight unseen. She tries to resist him, but her attempts prove futile when he slips under her defenses and crawls into her heart. A shocking surprise leads to a string of confessions, misunderstandings, lies and betrayal. Sometimes, to do the right thing, you have to sacrifice your own happiness. Sometimes, it all works out in the end. Sometimes, it doesn't.

A companion novella to the Shadowed Series, this story follows Melanie's parents, Elaine and Darren, their whirlwind romance and the series of events that led to their ultimate separation.
**This story includes facts and surprises revealed at the end of Shadowed Strength, book 1 of the series and is meant to be read after Shadowed Strength.

A short story about Melanie’s parents that tells us how they met and separated later on. Enjoyable story as always.

A touching and tragic prequel that has all the elements required to capture a reader’s attention and get them yearning for more. Romance is not my typical cup of tea, but this story was intriguingly different and kept me engaged through well-constructed characters and a plot that promises! My only complaint: Not enough! (But that’s just what the author obviously intended, so Bravo!)

This prequel is a must if you liked the first book in the series. You don't need it to understand the first book, but it's short and sweet- why deny yourself? ;)

It was cute, but basically offered no new information that wasn't already in the other books. I don't really feel like this book was necessary. 3 stars simply because it was quick and cute.

Fascinating

This was a good story, though very obviously a prequel. The main characters are very well thought out. I do wish it was a bit longer.

*Prequel Novella to the : Shadow Series* YA / Paranormal

What an interesting tail to this series. Pun not intended. Lol
Elaine Johnson working part time shifts at their local Burger Shack, meets the soon to be love of her life one night whilst attending the drive-thru. Being caught off base by a male voice ordering a meal and a date Elaine doesn't know what to make of this sudden request and she doesn't even know this cheeky boy / man.
When he stops at the window to pay for his meal, Elaine nearly faints, his so handsome, and has these beautiful blue and grey eyes and a dimple to boot.
The boy in question's name is Darren Wilkens, and he like Elaine a lot and whatever Darren wants, Darren gets unbeknown to her.

Such as sad start to their story, but i'm sure there's plenty more to come in the three books that follows.

Sweet romance, interesting past and as always there are secrets to reveal, and will Elaine and Darren get their HEA.....
