Protector Marco
The book keeps you on your toes. The mystery and cat and mouse play of characters has your emotions going up and down. Couldn't put the book down.

Opposites attract.
I liked the banter between Fiona and Marco. The soul searching and sexy times were good too. The secondary characters were very interesting.

ARC REVIEW
Dangerous Protector is book five in Sidney Bristol's Aegis Group series. This one is tense. I have run out of ways to say how great Sidney Bristol's writing really is, I can not get enough of her romantic suspense. What I love is that it pretty much is nonstop action the slower parts are filled with them getting to know each other and hot steamy sex. Can't go wrong with this series.
Fiona is stuck living inside the box, under the protection of the WPP for something she did when she was young and dumb. One night she decides to take a risk and on the night she does she meets Marco, denim and leather clad hunk with a stoic face. Marco is trying to right a wrong. His family was wronged when a huge corporation bought out his grandparents land right out from underneath them and uses it for toxic dumping. Fiona gets caught between and corporate espionage and Marco's sabotage which leads to the reveal of who she really is and the sociopathic hacker trying to kill her.
Marco is supposed to use Fiona as his in to take down the company, but he realizes once meeting her he can't do it, especially after he sleeps with her. His super secret hacker extraordinaire friend Ghost helps him along the way and also reveals they are not the only ones hacking into the system. This leads to a chain reaction of shit hitting the fan to more bigger piles of shit hitting the fan especially after Fiona finds out Marco's initial intentions. But what Marco did and how he feels for Fiona now he's not going to let anything happen to her no matter what, even when she doesn't trust him.
Once again Sidney's active setting is outstanding. Her first hand experience of the Moab desert really comes out as she describes the beauty and the dangers of the place so well and the action is heart pounding. Overall another winner from the talented Sidney Bristol.

What I liked or Didn’t like: I loved the authors descriptions of the characters. The author grabbed my attention in the first chapter and held it throughout the book. Lots of action as well as romance are awaiting you in this book. I do however suggest reading the prior books in the series before reading this one.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have been enjoying this entire series and I think I say every time they are getting better. I love them.
The geeky side of the author is showing a bit here because it involves a lot of high tech computer hacking, as well as the paramilitary heroes and villains. It really has one thinking, “Just how much of my stuff is out there?” Wow!
But really, it is a rather exciting romantic suspense. Lots of action. Running, chasing, shooting, and general mayhem, as well as hot – ah – romance. (Read sex.) Hit a good many of the items I look for in a good read – like keeping me up half the night reading it. *grin*
The “I’m not good enough” conflict these two had going, but then couldn’t keep their hands off each other, was believable if a frustrating. More than once I wanted to slap one or the other or both upside the head. Their communication was better than some, but they still left out huge chunks of information. But that was what the story was all about. It worked.
I have said it before and I will say it again, if you haven’t picked up an Aegis Group book, try one – you will like it. I look forward to the next one myself.

This is my first book by this author. It was a very enjoyable read. Marco Benally is a retired Navy SEAL that's all about his family. Fiona Goero is the "Mark" in his latest case to take down the company responsible for the loss of his grandparents' home as well as illegal dumping. They decide to set Fiona up to take the fall and plant a program on her computer to take the company information. At least until he actually picks her up and takes her home to her place. He immediately regrets his decision and wants to undo everything. He has no idea what secrets Fiona is hiding and how this will affect her life. What follows is a very suspenseful story with lots of twists and turns. I would recommend it to anyone.

(And Ghost is even more deadly than the SEALS!) Marco's warned they'll be a fall guy in his plan; someone who takes the blame and suffers. Marco doesn't care; until he meets the girl, Fiona, who will suffer. They make a personal connection. Now, he must fix this!
Another thrilling, Aegis mystery romance! The action and intricacies of crooked company after company, the greed and disregard for life is revolting and infuriating! That's good writing! Don't know what's next in the series, but I'd love more Ghost!

“Dangerous Protector” by Sydney Bristol is the latest in her Aegis Group series and it does not disappoint. The alpha men of Aegis Group are varied, fun and wonderful counterbalance to the women who love them.
Likes: Jumps immediately into action, story’s pace keeps the pages turning, primary characters, secondary characters, suspense, bad guys, good guys, interactions between Marco and Fiona, the romance/erotica aspects, I could go on. And on.
It’s the details that make Bristol’s stories so popular and what keeps readers eagerly waiting for more.
Dislikes: Could have used a final proofread to take it over the top.

WitPro, Hackers, Harleys. Marco decided to go off plan and clear up some family trouble. He had no idea he was opening a can of worms a mile wide. Fiona seemed generic and easy unfortunately she was attached to a big plot. One night of loving got Marco in deep crap to his eye balls. Fascinating story could not put it down. There sexy parts, geek parts, and a little shoot'em parts to keep it interesting. I really was excited and invested in these characters.

Every time I start one of Sidney Bristol's books, I know it's going to be a thrill ride. It seems there's always some twisted nut-job killer out to get the main characters. And each killer is deranged in his own special way. It really is remarkable to me that she can imagine so many different types of sociopaths. Her books are never boring or predictable. Her characters are unique and often troubled and complicated. The plots are so complex, I really don't know how she manages to track everything and tie up loose ends. This book was amazing and I highly recommend it.

Dangerous Protector by Sidney Bristol....Get ready for an exciting story that holds your attention and keeps you turning pages. I enjoyed watching the story unfold for Marco and Fiona. Sidney Bristol writes amazing books that you can't put down, love her style. If you love exciting fast paced book, you will want to read this one. This is another great book in the Aegis Group series from Sidney Bristol! If you have enjoyed the other books in this series, then you don't want to miss this one. Action that will keep you on the edge of your seat and bedroom action that will melt your panties for sure! This is a action and drama packed book that will keep readers wanting more.

The mystery is what saved this one for me. Marco and Fiona were kind of meh for me. I never really developed any feelings for them one way or another. But still a good installment in the series.
