This was totally enjoyable. A great retread through season one, with that one key change--the sheriff was bitten instead of Scott--that somehow opened the story up, creating unexpected insights and possibilities. To risk plagiarizing myself, this story is the PERFECT example of what I've called KouriArashi's "freedom" with her characters. Who else would have thought of such a simple yet unimaginable change--which even after eleventy bajillion fics, I've never once seen? And yet this story hews far closer in plot and spirit to season one than most. Also it's the rare fic with zero sex where I never missed it.
Definitely recommend.

This was so much better than I thought it would be when I first read the blurb and realized it wasn't a Sterek or a Steter fic. I love how all the bullshit that happened on the show was avoided here simply because everything was out in the open. The Sheriff is my favorite character (after Derek, Stiles, and Peter, of course) and I love anything from his POV.

4.5 stars This was SO GOOD! Incredible to see S1 events handled by actual adults and law enforcement no less. Lurve Tom and Peter together, tho I dunno why we didn’t get to actually see the sexy times. Very complete and thorough but still wish this continued more cuz it’s SUCH a good Pack! (and fuck Deaton)
