When October Grace begins reaping souls, she doesn’t think life can get much worse. Mason and Von have their work cut out for them, trying to keep the council members from abducting October. Everyone wants to get their hands on the sagrado stone they need to heal their broken homelands. Now, with all the nations vying for their piece of the stone to heal their land, October doesn’t know who to trust. Her attraction to Mason proves problematic when a simple kiss from the shifter in love threatens to splinter apart the trust in their platonic threesome. After accidentally killing off an entire race in Terraway, October isn’t sure who the biggest monsters are – the ones trying to work her into an early grave, or the one she fears she’s becoming herself. If you love Bella Forrest, Cassandra Clare, and falling in love with the bad boy, you'll devour the "Terraway" series by Mary E. Twomey. This is book two in the nine-part paranormal reaper romance series written by USA Today Bestselling Author Mary E. Twomey.
USA Today bestselling author Mary E. Twomey lives in Michigan with her three adorable children. She enjoys reading, writing, vegetarian cooking, and telling her children fantastic stories about wombats.
While she loves writing fantasy, dystopian, and paranormal tales for her readers, Mary also writes romance under the name Tuesday Embers.
This is getting even crazier. October is being pushed to her limits psychologically. Von and Malcolm can only take so much. I am curious about her OCD symptoms since Von noticed that they aren't consistent. She definitely has episodes but she still gets things done. Von, Malcolm, and her are getting really close. However, its completely unbalanced relationship. Quite a bit of angst going on. I am loving it though. The cliffhanger is a doozy though.
Though I’m still not sure where this will go, very well written
I’m hooked. I’m in, I’m not leaving this story until I learn how it all unfolds. It’s slow going, a bit tedious and others might take annoyance with October’s OCD bc maybe it isn’t what OCD looks like traditionally or bc it’s annoying bc people don’t understand. I do not have OCD but I do understand and sympathize with anyone who suffers from it. I actually like seeing how her OCD manifests and how often it occurs and shows up for her. I like that it isn’t 100% part of her story but it does make up a significant part of the storyline.
I’m still not entirely sure about this Terraway world. I’m still not sure why people keep coming after October.
Is this a reverse harem? Because so far the dudes she’s bonded to suck. One has her friend zoned or sister zoned so hard I can’t tell if those moments I see are actually moments. And the other is infatuated with what October can bring them to see. And I was rooting for him. I want to like him but after what he said and did I’m not sure I can ship them any more.
I suspect that the dude who she is dreaming of is actually someone real maybe even Sama since iirc he’s supposed to be on an island or something.
I also feel like Lang is a contender but so far the guys she’s got have used and abused her in the indirect way which almost makes it worse.
The story is very well written and brings me along on October’s journey. The end of the book is a cliffhanger so expect to need to go into the next one and if the title is anything to go by some stuff is going to go down in the next book. I don’t read synopsis’s prior to reading subsequent books bc it can put preconceived ideas in my head that can block my enjoyment, so I’m not entirely sure where this will be going but definitely reading the next one.
So yes October Grace has a strength in her I admire. She also lets everyone walk all over. It’s like if she thinks your broken you get a pass to just trample on her. It’s beyond frustrating.
I was so excited at first for October and Mason getting together. But then he started using her to see his wife. Which is wrong on so many levels. And then he takes first her by comparing them. Like it wasn’t already bad enough that he was kissing October to see Kara. So now every time he touches her or kisses her I just want street fighter upper cut him. See how he like it.
And then Von doesn’t even realize he has a whole shot with October because he thinks he doesn’t deserve one. He thinks because of what he is he should be scrapping the bottom of the barrel for everything. At this point nobody deserves October because truly understands her. Except for maybe Von. He has been the only one to actually take the time to try and understand her OCD which actually could be trauma. Even Edward likes him. Which is saying a lot.
Now dream dude is clearly not a dream. I actually think he might be Sama. And I think he is using King Geon. I don’t think he really has any intent on continuing to give help to him. He’s weak, clearly, and easily manipulated.
Now by biggest curiosity and the thing that no one seems to really be looking at is who is October’s father. It’s clear he had to be matraculean but he had to be something else too. She is touching the sagrado stone and shouldn’t be able to. And she tamed a sigbin. There has got be an explanation for that. IJS.
“Von in a tie was a sight to see. The hostess could not stop ogling him, making it known that no matter your social status, Von was everyone’s taste. The strangest part of it was that he didn’t seem to care that he turned many a single and married woman’s eye as we walked in. Von was one of those rare breeds who was totally comfortable in his own skin, no matter his surroundings. Oh, to be a TV vampire hottie and have the world adore you for the bad boy you are. “Reservations only,” the hostess in a black cocktail dress said to me. She wore a tight smile that veiled a silent threat to keep my poor off the good furniture.”
Continuing the Terraway series with Book 2 “Tremble” Ms. Mary E. Twomey has done it again! We delve deeper into the character development of October Grace and her quirky crew, explore the intensifying of each person's connection to each other, and the role they perform as the storyline plays out. The pace was fast, full of suspense and surprises. I will not reveal ANY spoilers, Beloved Bibliophile for I wish for you to enjoy the journey of October Grace and her Terraway compatriots. This is my second novel by the author and I was not disappointed!
I gave this book five (5) stars as I am now a HUGE fan of this series and I earnestly advise you, Wonderful Reader, to discover why – Please add this book to your library. Voluntary review of advance reader copy; I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher.
This series is drawing me in so quickly, I can barely stop for breath to write this review, before downloading the next in the series. (Thank you Kindle Unlimited for saving my bank balance!)
In this book we get to see a lot more about October’s troubled past. We still don’t know why her sister left and slowly withdrew from all contact, but we do hear about Judge, which is revealing.
October is starting to catch up on the backlog of souls required to keep the suns fed in Terraway. She’s trying to catch up and then get ahead for a few days so they can make a trip to Terraway in order to try and set things in place to help Omens in the future to not get so overwhelmed.
In addition to all the souls she’s collecting, October is becoming more comfortable with Von and Mason. They sleep together every night and whilst she sleeps the guys pull her negative emotions away, to keep her on an even keel. The problems seem to start when emotions start to become involved, especially when Mason seems to be clinging to his dead wife’s memory.
We see more of Terraway in this book and what the inhabitants are like and what they have been suffering through famine. We see their bravery and their loyalty and their hope that October can help them. I’m looking forward to seeing what the other lands are like.
The first book was amazing and this second one does not disappoint. The characters keep developing and Octobers character and back story continues to evolve and change. I barely kept myself from continuing to book 3 so that I could leave a review for book 1 and 2. I love all characters including Mason who kind of becomes a selfish prick by the end, even though he seemed like the most self less and self possessed being in the supernatural world. If you read book 1 already I encourage u to continue reading because I know I will. It also helps that these books are pretty fast to read, cuz there's like 8 books so i thought the story would just drag on. However, these books do not drag on. They keep u hooked to the story and dragged along through all the heartache and chaos. Seriously in this book I felt more deeply connected to October and she made me tear up a few times. It was like I could feel her panic and anxiety as if it were my own, even though I do not suffer from OCD. Definitely an amazing author. Happy reads everyone!
I liked this one. It was short and not a lot of time passed but there has been quite a lot of character and plot development. October is progressing nicely as are the boys. I don't particularly like Mason right now but I think he is dealing with his trauma in his own way and it is going to get harder before it gets better.
I like that this story is very different from other PNR books I have read. It is very slow burn. From what I understand there is 9 books so I'm not sure at what point a solid relationship forms but I actually think this is probably pretty realistic as life is pretty messy.
I still like the storyline and the characters. But I start to think that October Grace is getting to extreme, I find her behaviour to aggressive bit over the top. I still like the plot and the different creatures, they very detailed, the same goes for the surroundings to step into a completely different world, where the creatures think and live differently. I actually don't know if I will get the third book in this series. The price goes up and the pages goes down, so I will wait maybe an offer comes along.
I couldn't get enough of this series!!! Just finished binge reading all 9.
The story was so captivating and the characters were people you honestly felt connected to. It's not often that you really get sucked in the world an author creates like I did for Terraway.
I think my favorite thing about the whole series is that you never know what is going to come around the corner. Surprises left and right. You think you know which way the story is headed and it veers off.
I’m in the fence about this one .... it still stands out with good world building and original characters but something’s missing ...
Not sure what though.... Finally had to skip a few chapters towards the ends because it was going no where fast... or rather slowly.... Didn’t notice any difference with not reading 4-5 chapters so that just goes to tell you...
I guess I would have liked for a bit more action and a faster pace. Also, at this rate MC is still going to be a virgin by book IV 🤪🤪🤪

Ok so this second book was better than the first! This is the first series I have read from this author and I absolutely love the plot and the characters! October Grace is one of the strongest female characters I have ever read! She just keeps rolling through every new thing she learns! Run out and get the first book in this series because you will not regret it! Now I am on to the third! Can’t wait!
Definitely continue reading if you’re on the fence. While this book is 5 out of 5, the series overall is a 4 out of 5. And it’s a tearjerker so grab some tissues and continue on, however in my opinion the ending is trash so be prepared for that. (Its not as bad as I make it sound but I hated it) Read my review of the final book if you’re curious.
The story through these is great. I barely put this down it's a great read. Am I wrong for pretty much hating Mason? I've been team von this whole time! October's ocd is a bit much sometimes but I get it's part of her character and I feel bad for the poor girl stuck with no meds and now in a cage without von or Mason to pull from her.

demolished this after the 1st one got me hooked and the 2nd one cemented it. Mason is a dummy that needs to realise that Kara's dead. octobers ocd is an interesting twist that always keeps me guessing
Another novel that has no complete plot line and a cliffhanger at the end. The drama and suspense are thick and the challenges of October's OCD are overwhelming. Literally, this series has one more chance. If stuff doesn't actually happen in the next novel, I'm done.
This book broke my heart over and over and over. It’s killing me how October keeps giving every piece of herself to everyone else, getting nothing back. Girl deserves a damn vacation.
I can't say enough good things about this whole series. I'm reading it over again, this time via audiobook and if anything it is even better than the first time around. I love the writing and the characters and can't get enough!
Second book is as wonderful as the first. It invites the reader into a new world. Before you know it you have read the entire book and are looking to start the next right away.
As October struggles to adjust in her position as Reaper she fights battles on other fronts. Who is helping and who has other plans for her. This book is a gripping story.
The second book in this series won me over, and now I'm hooked. The character development really helped me get into the story and thank God those annoying goblins bit the dust, the story got infinitely better with their removal (sorry, not sorry Gobos). I always love a good romance mixed with my fantasy novel as it just adds a bit more intrigue to the story. The only complaint (I don't have a better word, I'm not really upset by it) I have is I find it physically impossible that literally everyone loves October, like literally every man is charmed with her in some way. I partially envy that kind of mass appeal, but I also think it'd be a bit more believable if maybe at least a few people didn't think she was the most beautiful girl on Earth. But, this is fantasy so while I find it silly, it's not really a big deal and makes it fun to watch all the characters trip over each other trying to reconcile their feelings over one girl and her confusion over all these men who seem taken with her as well. Mary Twomey does a great job of taking you right to the edge (romance and adventure) and then pulling the rug out from under you just as you think something is happening, which I appreciate. The twists and turns always make me want to keep reading. I read this book (as I've read every book by her) in one night, because I can't sleep without knowing what's going to happen & it's so action packed/romance packed there's no natural stopping place (at least for me) where you feel confident you can rest before finding out the next part of the story.
