Uncle!

Rate this book
When he received a frantic call from his older sister, the last thing Jonah Jacobson expected to hear was that Madison Bishop was having a makeover emergency. Her brother-in-law was the epitome of a lumberjack—from the flannel shirts and unkempt beard to the broad build and mud wrestling titles. But when Jonah arrived to the rescue, he ended up having a night to remember and a date with Madison.

Discovering he had more in common with Jonah than their niece was a pleasurable surprise in more than one way for Madison. The only thing he needed to do was show the fashion forward stylist how good they could be together if Jonah allowed him to take the lead.

Flowers and crowns might have brought them together, but a massage table would give them their happily ever after.

Lila Leigh Hunter is the pen name of a Puerto Rican author with a hyphenated surname. Born and raised on the island, Lila grew up making up stories her siblings pretended to like. But no matter what they say, as the youngest of six, she’s still their mom’s favorite. According to the dusty diplomas on her wall, she’s an architectural designer living in Southern Texas with her husband and four military brats.

She spends most of her free time writing homoerotic romances about middle-aged men finding happiness and the rest hiding from pesky house chores. When outside of her cave, she likes to observe people and try to guess their stories. Sometimes she wishes the voices in her head were real; going out with the boys in her books sounds like a plan made in heaven.

Lila writes romances with female protagonists as Leigh Hunter, works as a freelance designer for Hunter Hues, and review books for Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words & Someone Else's Stories.

3.5 Stars--Well this was a nice sugarkink-y diversion!

See I've cracked my first Santa Jizzmas story open (not this) and already I'm crying Uncle. (<~~See what I did there)

Thank Goodness for the BDSM group's Kink and Ink event! I can get any type of kinky flavors I want to read...for FREE!

Uncle's kinky flavor? D/s, light feminization, some CBT (squee!), a lumbersexual and a guiche on top

(Tasty)

Those are also the story's highlights! I liked Jonah slightly more. I'm surprised I usually gravitate to the Dom but Jonah did it for me this go round. Might be his internal war with needing and not giving in.

Or the tattoos and the piercing?

Whatevs.

I'm feeling like this after reading:

Sweet sprinkles...like the story. ;)

Thanks to the author, the team behind the scenes and the group!

I really liked this! It was sweet and fun. Sugerkink most definitely! There wasn't anything overly unique about the story or sex but it definitely got the job done, if you know what I mean ;-)

I really liked the nickname 'Princess' for Jonah as well, I like a bit of feminisation in my D/S couples. The side characters were also alot for fun, I thought Gabrielle was a very realistic little girl and very cute!

3.5 stars.

Somewhere around the middle the editing gets kind of wonky. I thought This was cute. I don't read much M/M, but the banter was sweet and the sex was steamy! I would read more of this author's work.

I was given a copy of this book free by the author in exchange for an unbiased review.

Such a sweet short story I wish it had been longer or maybe that the author expands it into a full length novel.
Jonah ends up giving his lumberjack brother-in-law a makeover. During the makeover the two decide they are attracted to each other and agree to meet again for dinner. As it happens, dinner comes with a massage where the action soon heats up.
It never ceases to amaze me that people can tell if another is a submissive just by looking at them.
A nice quick read.

Four stars!
This was a fun story. The pacing was a little rushed since it seemed like a large amount of backstory was crammed into not many pages. But I liked Jonah and Madison. They were really good together and complemented each other well. The scene with them in the bathroom is so sensual. I really enjoyed that scene. Jonah and Madison seem to be headed towards starting a relationship, but they’re not quite there yet. This story shows just a beginning for them and I’d love to see more of them. More dates as they truly get to know each other and work out what exactly their limits and boundaries are while also discussing what they want out of a possible relationship. You get the sense they’re going to make it work and wind up together for the long haul. But I’d love to see how they do it.

This is a really enjoyable short story about two men who meet occasionally at family gatherings as their siblings are married to one another, and both are Uncle to an adorable niece named Elle. The particular meeting which begins this story is created by Elle gluing flowers into the hair and beard of her Uncle Madison. Jonah, being a hairdresser, is called on to help rectify the damage caused by the glue. There has been glimmers of attraction before, but being in close proximity washing and cutting hair, gives each of the men an opportunity to spend time in the others company.
The scenes with Jonah cutting and washing Madison's hair were really hot and the connection between the two men was really well written.
What I also appreciated was that the story didn't end that evening, but carried on giving us a little while to imagine the Main characters not just HFN, but maybe HEA.

I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This book inspired a lot of emotions in me, but unfortunately, they weren't positive. The first emotion was frustration, because there were inconsistencies in verb tense and other editing errors that drew me out of the story, and that's lethal in a novella because it's meant to be a short book that you read with intense focus. It bothered me even more when I saw that this story is by a previously published author -- she really got shortchanged in the editing department this time, and that's the kind of thing that damages writers' brands. (At least in my mind.)

The second emotion was puzzlement, because I felt like I entered into the story late. There was no real buildup to the MCs connecting -- they didn't provide a lot of background as to why it hadn't happened in the past. I think when two people have met before and there is a clear, strong attraction that isn't acted upon, there should be more of an explanation when they actually do hookup. In this book, though, it seemed like Madison hadn't made a move on Jonah simply because they had never been alone together before that. That's kind of tepid, really -- they've known each other for years and nothing had moved him to pursue something except for convenient access? As a result of this lack of backstory, the book came across as neither fish nor fowl -- not single-focused enough to be erotica, and not contextual enough to be a romance.

The third emotion was slight distaste, because I don't really think that comparing a man to a is appealing in the least, and that kind of killed the mood for me. Is there some sort of fetish for ? I did a Google search to see if this was a mainstream thing I'd missed out on, but it doesn't really look like it, although I did manage to find enough to need a small amount of brain bleach. I also was a little turned off by the constant use of because it got repetitive, even though Jonah supposedly loved it.

If I were editing this book, I'd advise the author to expand it to allow the characters' personalities and histories to be known, and I'd spend a little more time on setting -- that is, if she wants to emphasize the romance/storyline more. If she wants to go for erotica, I guess she'd need to kick up the sex a few notches, and for God's sake, remove all references to .

I loved this book! I loved how Madison Bishop was such a macho man but his niece had him wrapped around her little finger! It was hilarious how Jonah Jacobson's sister had to call him to do a make over on Madison! It was really interesting to see the effect that Madison had on Jonah! It was cute how they would banter back & forth with each other! Madison had not realized how attractive Jonah was before he came to do the make over! The interaction between the two men were hot! I had never read one of Lila's books before but I will definitely read more of her books! It seems like it might be a stand alone series. I will definitely look to see & read them! The characters in this book have a lot of depth to them! I could not put the book down & did not want it to end! I would recommend this book if you want to read a different kind of book! I laughed, cried & rejoiced in the book when they got together!

Even though the covers are almost identical, 'Uncle!' is better than 'Lumberjack'...
This was a surprisingly sweet read, with bits of emotion from the characters that I didn't expect.

I'm aware that there is a kink or two for everyone out there in the stratosphere. With that, some folks are drawn to a male character who wears makeup, and an occasional tiara. I'm not. If I was a man in a m/m relationship, I'd want and expect a big, kinda' hairy dude who'll occasionally go outdoors after midnight to howl at the moon, just for the hell of it.
'Cause I'm butch like that.
2.5 twinky stars.

I loved this story. It was very fun to read. I got hooked by it since the beginning. I liked both MC, they were lovely. I didn’t think there was too much mystery in the plot, it was easy to see were the story was going, but still was very enjoyable.

The best part were the interactions between the main characters, I loved the way they talked to each other and the scenes the shared were very sensual. I loved it when Maddison called Jonah princess, it made me smile every time. I had a really good time reading it.

Uncle! by Lila Leigh Hunter

To be honest, I was actually hoping this’d be a silverfox story but it’s all right. The story is cute and hot and Jonah x Madison is to die for.

What I loved most is the narrative on sex’s power and control. Here we have the token flamboyant gay guy and the lumberjack seemingly fitting into the stereotypes. But when their worlds finally collide, ugh, its sweet, kinky loving, and their banter is super satisfying.

Elle, their niece, is a standout character, too, especially since she’s the one responsible for the whimsical makeover that finally makes it happen for both the protagonists.

I also love how Chapter 3 teases and makes everything hot but not cheap and how the cliffhanger in this chapter ultimately makes you want more of Lila Leigh Hunter’s writing. A few editing mistakes were found on my copy, but I’m willing to overlook.

4 of 5 Stars. I loved Jonah and Madison’s chemistry. This author will now be on my auto-buy list!

It was okay but didnt really catch my interest. Given the length of time the two guys knew each other they didn't seem to know each other at all. *free give-away copy*

I've been meaning to catch up on my Kink in Ink reads and this one was yet another fantastic read. This fluffy BDSM story was true to its prompt, it certainly ticked all the boxes for me. A cute story, sweet without being tooth achingly so - that is to say it wasn't cheesy.

I received this through instafreebies. This is the first book I've read by this author. I liked the emotions and the sensuality. The humor and dialogue were perfect. The only thing I didn't care for was the pain involved.
