I really liked the writing style (and the setting) - it's engaging, but story and characters are very TV serial type and predictable. The story started off well (even though the main conflict of the story seems unreasonable), but after some time, it gets repetitive and slow. Thankfully, it picks up the pace in the second half.

I enjoyed reading the blogposts as they totally justify the (interesting) title of the book! Overall, it was a simple and light read.

This book shocked me and pissed me off as both a feminist as well as an adult reader with normal intelligence. Not only was the plot lose and irrational (no reason why a normal couple who seem happy and in love should wake up one day to the guy just walking out of home with nary an explanation especially after a steamy description of the events that unfolded the previous night ) but the way the couple constantly made out like harmonal teenagers rather than actually addressing the matter At hand really made me feel the book should've been about a teenage couple and for a more adolescent audience. Several of the protagonist's thoughts / plot events also shocked me as to how sexist a contemporary couple, living in metropolitan India could make their lives out to be.
I'm sorry about leaving such a scathing review, especially for such a loved author but, I had to record my absolute disappointment for the book. I know it takes effort and skill to write a book and I liked the effortless language flow, that was perhaps the only redeeming thing about the book. I'm no literary snob and have read and enjoyed what is known as 'chick lit' but this...I couldnt wait to be done with.
