Katieran Commander LemAN has suffered a great loss and swore never to let anyone get close to him again. He focuses on protecting his people. Now he has been tasked with seeking out the remaining Morin transport. The problem is, his success depends on an alien female intent on driving him insane. He might be able to complete his mission but he's not sure how long he can resist her.
Teagan White is a communications expert from Earth who is traveling to the new planet called Katiera. An adventure to new worlds on board a ship full of sexy aliens is her fantasy come true. She loves a good challenge and now her expertise is needed to help track down the Morins, the long-time enemy of the Katieran Nation. She finds herself especially attracted to their commander LemAN. She wouldn’t mind exploring a little more of him.
A distress call is answered that could divide the Katieran Prime allies or start the nations on a path to healing. Sometimes the danger isn’t visible, but hiding within. Will LemAN and Teagan give in or fight the pull of attraction? Will they allow their differences to tear them apart? Will the Katierans and their allies brave the turmoil and find what has been missing in Discovery?

I have loved every book in this series so far and was really excited for this one. However, to me this book seems to be rushed almost as if it was a stop gap between other books. The whole story progressed extremely quickly with less depth to the characters than the other books. The speech between characters seemed shallow too. It read as if written by a different author in places. The "discovery" aspect was very under developed as well which was disappointing. The story did whet the appetite for the next book as I really want to know how this plays out. I just hope K D Jones puts her normal depth into the characters and story next time.
Meh LemAN the lemon (no just kidding) and Teagan the wonder geek.
This is one of those worlds where the Aliens can have fated mates. Of course the MCs are fated even though he is Katieran and she is Human. BUT... he is also a widower and refuses to put his heart on the line again.
The sexual tension doesn't actually last that long. LemAN makes a pretty quick 180. Meanwhile some new revelations about the enemy come to light. Honestly I was kinda bored though. And even though I felt that LemAN did want her and she wasn't overshadowed by his first mate in his mind. I didn't feel like he did a good job conveying that to Teagan. It seemed like she kept bending over backwards to not hurt the feelings of the poor widower.
Just when I think the series will go stale it takes a new turn. Seriously. I love this series. Thank you for not dragging out the l love her shove her away thing. It was nice to get them together early and let them work out their situation and interact as a couple more. Love it.
They have discovered another race of Morians(probably spelled wrong). They are trying to out run the Morins.More wars going on .The Purist are still causing trouble.Lots more mates found and lots of pregnant earth women. This story was great.
This was an amazing book. Certainly left me wanting more. Thankfully I already bought the next book. Really liked that LemAn wasn’t all macho, and Teagan had freedom to socialize with friends that just happened to be the opposite sex. Like IRL
Teagan and LemAN seem to be oil and water. Teagan is a genius with technology and figures out the Morin cloaking and is invaluable to the Katierans. I recommend this read.
Commander LemAn is fighting his attraction to the strange Earth female, Teagan. Teagan is a nerd and has been very helpful since she figured out a way to track the Morins when they are clocked. She is drawn to LemAn but he keeps pushing her away. Then there is the Morinian transport that the Morin attacked and left in space. I love this series by KD Jones. I highly recommend this book.
I was lucky to beta read this story. Oh I love this series, it is getting better and better. I love the chemistry between LemAN and Teagan, She is such a feisty character, so strong, so determined. And so funny and witty. And she is great at what she does. And that leads to helping a ship full of women that have been discovered trying to escape from the Morins. We get plenty of drama with Teagan and LemAN and with other planets that have ill feelings against helping the 'enemy'.
3.5 stars. Steamy, and set within an interesting sci-fi world. Again, I’m reading this series out of order, but this could be read as a standalone as the past plot was easily explained.
What a great book by KD Jones!!! I just absolutely love this series! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!! A definite must read!! Happy Reading!!! :)
