I'm really sorry that this book series has come to an end, it was a well written series of books about a small town on a small island called Madrona Island.

This last book is about Jude, owner of Island Thyme cafe. A friend to all, but with her history finds it difficult to trust and let people in. Her daughter, Lindsey, who lives with her Dad is visiting for the Summer. At the same time, a film is being shot in the town, starring none other than Jude's chef, and boyfriend, Ryan's, ex lover.

Jude has the impression Ryan hasn't told her everything about his relationship with Peyton, but he had told her it's over. Peyton has an ulterior motive for being on the Island, and she always gets her own way. Will this be the end for Jude and Ryan.

Jude wants to strengthen her relationship with Lindsey, but the 20year old is more intetested in having a good time than working and spending time with her Mum.

The other characters in the series play a part too, Lily and Kyla, Judes best friends help her through this tough time. Grandad John is there for advice as well.

Sad to say goodbye to this adorable town but it's a series I'd read again.

Loved it!!!

I loved all three Madrona Island books. Each one is about love and healing, getting to know that in each of us is a strong woman. This was Judes story, she found love again. And learned to trust. Sorry to have it end. I will miss reading about their lives. Awesome story, awesome trilogy.

I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it, however I would have bought the book as I was anxiously waiting to continue this lovely series that takes place on Madrona Island. I discovered her other books not too long ago, and was looking forward to more stories of the three friends on Madrona Island. A place that the author has described so well with her words that she painted a lovely picture in my mind that makes me want to visit.

The series revolves around three friends, and the Island Thyme Cafe is Jude's story. Jude's romance with Ryan picks up and Jude's adult daughter Lindsey returns to the island to reunite with her mother after being away for several years. Jude learns that she can begin to trust in people again after having been betrayed many years ago by her ex-husband.

This is a light hearted feel good novel that is book three of a series. While the book could be read as a stand alone, it makes more sense to start at the beginning of the series with "The Guestbook." Her books are perfect for curling up on a couch, settling in with a cup of coffee or tea and having a feel good read. I happen to have a love/hate relationship with series books. I enjoy being able to continue to read about characters that I have connected with, but I don't like having to wait for the next novel to be published as the author spins and creates the story onto the pages for the reader's consumption.

My only regret is that the author appears to have taken down her inspiration board for this series, and I really don't want to say goodbye to the friends and Madrona Island. I see room for the next installment to write about Lindsey's life after she reunites with her mother and goes on to pursue her dreams, and what happens with Jude and Ryan after they marry? What becomes of the friends and their spouses and how do their lives change now that they are all married and working at pursuing their dreams together on the Island. Please don't make me say farewell.

E-Reader Romance Story

Jude Simon owns the Island Thyme Cafe.  Which she was paid by her ex husband Michtell, family.

She hired a Chef Rylan Folger.  And Jude feels like she's falling in love with Ryan.  He feels the same way, but don't tell each at this time.

They took the ferry to Canada for short vacation.  And they finally realized they were in love.  They slept together. Jude thought she would never feel in love again.  Now she knew she loved Ryan.

When she got she opened her mail.  And there was special email her daughter Lindsey was coming to visit her Mom the whole summer.  Jude hoped she would able to get back with Lindsey when she young.  When was 13 years old she decided she wanted to go live with her dad Mitchell.

Later Jude, Kyla & Lily went a for long weekend.  To be able sleep & be pampered.  Just a short while ago Jude found out she was pregnant at 39.

There too many characters in this book to list!

You need to read this book!  I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did!

Island Thyme Cafe

Andrea Hurst has redeemed herself with this third book in the Madrona Island series. In the second book, I felt that she had taken three really strong women and turned them into wimps. In this book, the women are back to their supportive and strong selves. Even Jude, who has the most to risk in this book, is willing to turn her back on love if she does not get a truthful response from her love interest.

One thing that did bother me in the book is what I consider poor editing i.e. missing words, sentence fragments, homonyms substituted for the correct word, etc. Books need human editors not spell check or autocorrect which can really foul things up.

I love the setting and the characters in this book. I would love to have lunch at the Island Thyme Cafe.

Book 3

Nice little romantic read. Jude was hurt bad in the pass. Her ex was selfish and immature. She had restarted her life with her young daughter on Madrona Island after a agree divorced settlement. Now years later she has found love but still hanging onto the past. Can she move on? Can she trust him or even herself. Time heals all in his nice easy to read book.

Good story but not as well written as the previous books in the series and very poorly editted and copy editted—if either occurred, which I sincerely doubt. Names changed repeatedly, and the title cafe’s spelling switched to “time” in the latter third of the book.

There were a couple of big misunderstandings, but neither was horribly long and drawn out.

Loved the series, great story! However, totally and completely confused as to why these books were not edited before being published...all three of them are filled with misspelled words, typos, grammatical errors, missing words and character name changes. Very strange to me, I’ve never seen anything like it.

Good book

This is the third book in the series. As with book two, I was so irritated with both Jude and Ryan for acting so stupid. My thoughts were what is in the water that makes all the adults there act like idiots. But I moved on and kept reading and it turned out to be a good book.

EXCELLENT

This book really tugged on my heart strings in some places. If only we could all live as John and see love and beauty in all. He, of all the characters, is my favorite!
My only gripe in the book is this one winked at this one, and this one winked at that. Enough with the winking!!!!
Happy Reading!
ENJOY!!

I read this 3 book romance series one after other. Each book focused on one of three friends who live on Madrona Island, a fictional island in the Seattle Sound. I seldom read romances, but something about the island setting intrigued me enough to continue. And the last one was the best!

Hard to get invested in a couple when you never saw the courtship. It was mentioned very briefly in the two previous books but not enough to make you care. Ryan seemed very passive in his supposed love for Jude. I didn’t buy that he loved her as much as her was supposed to do.

A sweet romance

One wonders why the characters don't communicate, but then, there wouldn't be a book! You love each other? Don't hide stupid stuff. Anyway, book three of the trilogy, just as nice as the other two. A recommended good read.

So sad

This has been a wonderful trilogy. Full of heart warming stories and inspiring relationships, enhanced by the beautiful descriptive settings. I am devastated that it has come to an end.

This is another awesome book by Andrea. I enjoyed this series very much without cursing and explicit sex. Good clean love stories with interesting and engaging characters.

I enjoyed reading this third book in the Madrona Island Trilogy. The story was pretty good. Someone forgot to do the proofreading though and it got to be rather annoying after the fifth or sixth glaring error.

Great series!!

MS. Hurst's story telling skills are admirable. I read that she credits many others however she's the one pulling the suggestions together. This book was a pleasure to read with lots of romance but plenty of reality too.

I enjoyed the book a lot! However I was distracted at many points by grammatical errors and typos. The story was so good though that I kept on reading, she really knows how to write a wonderful story.
