How to Publish a Book on Real Advice from Someone Who’s Doing it Well
Are you tired of “how to publish books” that are full of fluff and no real information? So was I.
Before I began publishing Kindle books, I read just about everything out there, looking for real answers to questions I had about the industry. But much to my disappointment, most of the books were filled with fluff or stories of people who “hit it big” without really telling me how or why.
So here’s what I decided to do. Write a book that answers all of the real questions without painting an unrealistic view of the possibilities. I answer things

Sam Kerns is a handsome serial entrepreneur who has spent the past 20 years writing about small business issues, opportunities: he loves teaching people how to work for themselves and pursue their own dreams. Now, the notable fact is that Sam’s books all sell very well, so if anyone can offer information and guidance on how to succeed in the field of self help books, Sam’s the man. This boxed set is indeed a toolkit for writers – all the instruments and lessons necessary tot be successful at writing. The two books here are Books for Freelance Writing, Publishing a Book, and Making Money with Writing and together they form Work from Home Book 6.
The opener is actually from How To Build a Writing Empire in 30 Days or Less and in his Introduction he reassure us, ‘Our culture teaches us that if we work hard enough and have at least some talent, we can become a success and accomplish our dreams. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with that. In fact, I wholeheartedly believe in the American Dream. But what I am saying is that the freelance writing business isn’t like most other career choices, and the uniqueness of the profession requires you to think a little outside of the box if you want to make a real living from it. Take me as an example. I’ve considered myself a writer my entire life. When I was 10 years old, I knew that writing was the career— the only career— that I wanted. I took the first step when I reached my early twenties— after suffering miserably in an office environment for a few years— and sent queries to magazines and book publishers. (This was before it was possible to act as your own Indie publisher.) I was lucky because unlike many of my peers, I didn’t seem to have any trouble landing assignments, and I was even given a book contract with a publisher in my second year. But there was a problem. Despite my early success, I was nowhere near making what I needed to in order to earn a full-time living. I began to wonder what was wrong. I was working 50 to 60 hours a week, and even if I’d been able to secure more writing assignments, I wouldn’t have had time to complete them. So instead of pursuing my writing dreams, I began to open other businesses, and while I achieved success with them, I couldn’t let go of my desire to work as a writer. There had to be a way, the entrepreneur side of me said, but for the life of me, I couldn’t figure it out. Something certainly wasn’t adding up.’
And the books and information grow fro there. Practical and useful ‘tools’ to make it as a writer – every wannabe author’s dream. Just check Sam’s track record and you’ll feel secure following his suggestions, instructions, and encouragement. And the illustrations he uses are very helpful in supporting his points. Another winner for Sam Kerns...and us!
