Rhonda Crowder explores Atlanta's adult entertainment world in her debut novel, Riddles.
Nearly 30 years old, Chyne “Riddles” Jaspers thinks she’s in a good place. She has a daughter who adores her, a lucrative business, chic home in one of Atlanta’s most upscale gated communities, money in the bank, access to the finest luxury vehicles and holds a degree in anthropology. Riddles works as a stripper by choice. She’s even come to grips with her child’s father, who left her with their baby in her womb, so life is going according to plan until, one night, her co-worker and friend Malibu is murdered in a VIP room at Joker’s Gentleman’s Club. As soon as the last piece of evidence is collected at the club, it’s back to business as usual and no one seems interested in finding the killer... except for Riddles. A feeling deep down in her gut drives Riddles to become an amateur sleuth, and not too soon as she discovers she must solve this mystery in order to protect her own life.
This book will hold the attention of the reader and is thought provoking. The writing of Rhonda Crowder is relative enough to have solid comparisons to Terry McMillan yet bold enough to invite the futuristic liberation of an Alice Walker. My riddle is simple, "What will this explorative author do next?"
This book was so good! I could not stop reading it. It took me on a journey to the streets and stripper life. I think Riddles should consider being a series.
In the debut novel Riddles, Rhonda Crowder explores Atlanta's adult entertainment world with main character Chyne aka Riddles, a stripper who is more than meets the eye. She finds out that her co-worker has been murdered, Chyne sets out to find out who and why? While trying to solve this crime, she is also exposed to how people are treated due to financial status or lack thereof as well as lies and hidden agendas. Author Crowder delivers a good tale in Riddles with a well-executed plot that will keep readers interested. Fans of mystery and suspense will most certainly enjoy. If you are a fan of the mystery genre then you will not be disappointed. This a great debut and I give it 4 stars and look forward to Crowder's next literary effort.

The book captured my attention from the first page. There are many costs in the nightlife of stripping. Some people stop at nothing to protect their secrets. Some people will do anything for those they love-even murder.
I really enjoyed the writing style of Rhonda. She kept me in suspense and wanting more at the end. My four star rating is due to many grammatical errors.
Fantastic story, could not put it down, the story flowed so easily that i tried to read faster to get to the next page! i will recommend this book to others.
