Running their Los Angeles casino has been rewarding for Luke Chance and his three brothers, Malachi, Roman, and Genesis. But recently it seems like everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. Being a woman who is a weapons and martial arts expert, she is often underestimated. Luke and his family decide that they must do whatever it takes to make sure their casino stays honest and successful. I actually like this book a lot. This was my first read by this author and. it was a very good one. I love a family that prays together and stays together. That baby girl of the family was nothing to be played with. A great storyline and I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
This was my first read from this author. I was entertained throughout the book and interested in how the plot came together with all the missing pieces being found and useful. I enjoyed the family dynamic and how the lone sister tried to assert her power among a group of men. I would read more from this author
This Book Was Hard To Listen To Because It Started Off So Slow. I Had To Stop For A Couple Days, & Went Back To It. Really Just To Finish It, & See Where It Goes. There Wasn’t Much Action Until The End To Me Honestly. Once It Got To The Point The Story Line Was Pretty Good. What Keyla Had In This Book Is Something I Wish I Had; Love & Protection From 5 Brothers. On Top Of The Love From A Man In Other Ways. Honestly, I Enjoyed Getting To Know The Characters & Their Backgrounds More Than The Story Itself. I Know It’s A Part 2 That I Will Start Pretty Soon. Just To See Where Things Go With All The Characters. Not Too Bad Of A Story Though
I would recommend The Last Chance to any urban fiction lovers. It’s not hood fiction but some of the characters have a little hood in them. Great read. I listened on audio and it was included in my membership. I didn’t have to use a credit.🙏
I enjoyed reading this book :) I love reading books that have a strong female as the main character so I was inspired by Keisha. I instantly feel in love with Ramsey and I knew that their arrangement would turn into something more. They had the foundation of friendship already established so throwing great sex in was a recipe for a relationship. On the family tip, I liked the fact that he brothers were so protective and successful. The closeness that they shared was beautiful and she was blessed to have so many brothers watching over her. I am looking forward to reading the next book
This book was recommended by my book club, and I love it. My favorite characters were Ramsey and Keilah because of their passion for each other. I also like Keilah relationship with her brothers reminds me of how over protected my brothers are. This book was so great I read precious stones because I needed to read more about what Ramsey and Keikah Stone were up to.
This book was excellent,I read it when it was first release.Darrien Lee is a very good writer and i pretty much enjoyed all of her books from All that and a Bag of Chips(collection)to her new release Precious Stone.
This book was very good. I could not put it down. It flowed easy and you were able to keep up with the various characters. The plot kept me guessing. I can't wait to read part 2. Also this book is over 400 pages.
I loved the book what knocked it off from a five star was the length and the details of the sex scenes. But the book was funny and so relatable at times. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a few good laughs.
I actually really enjoyed this book! And getting to know The Chance Family!!! I loved Ramsey from the beginning! This was just a random book I picked up and had no idea what it was about! Love when I have no idea what the book is about and it ends up being a good read.
