Alistair Jameson is a simple bear with simple desires. Mostly to be left alone. So when he ends up as the unlikely father of a baby boy whose dad died in a fire that Alistair can't buy as accidental, he is well and truly out of his depth. And with a woman on the horizon who refuses to take any crap from anyone, and who just so happens to be the most tantalizing little thing he's ever met, the big werebear has plenty on his plate.
Good thing that he might just be the right bear for the job.
Leaving everything behind and hitting the road in a mad search for her best friend's murderer seemed like the only thing Remy Marshall could do. With curves to kill and sass to slay, she's ready for anything... or so she thought. She definitely wasn't expecting the lumberjack, who may or may not be a killer, to sweep her off her feet.
Or all the trouble that came with him.
But what's a woman to do when justice needs to be served, even though her heart seems to disagree with every action she makes? Come find out.

Alistair Samson, a bear shifter who wanted to be left alone was having some problems with another bear shifter by the name of Wright Renly. The latter was constantly provoking the former.
One day when Alistair went to meet Wright after the crazed man left a note baiting him. Alistair life was turned upside down when a baby boy lost his father in a suspicious fire at his rival's cabin.
Alistair found himself in caught in something danger with a baby on his hands and no idea what the BLEEP he was doing.
Remy Marshall lost her best-friend Wright Renly in a fire and she was sure he was murdered. She left everything behind im Seattle and moved to Sweetwater. She was on a mission to make that justice was served.
She wanted answers and the only one she thought who had them was the man Wright wrote about in his letters to her, Alistair Samson. When Remy met the broody, handsome lumberjack Alistair. She was awestruck.
Alistair was taking aback by Remy as well until he found out that she was friends with Wright and wanted to ask him some questions. The woman was very persistent but Alistair wouldn't give in.
Until he was needed on a job site and he didn't trust anyone to look after Jonah while he was at work. Remy volunteered and he agreed but he placed a condition.
As Alistair and Remy laid their cards on the table, Remy realized that Alistair wasn't as bad as she thought. Alistair's bear claimed the spitefire woman as his mate.
When danger found them, Alistair did everything in his power to keep Jonah and Remy safe. There some misunderstandings that occurred but the lovebirds worked things out.
It was a pleasure to see all the couples in this series getting together. Looking forward for what will happen next in Sweetwater.
BIG BEAR DAD is book 4 in Anya Nowlan's SWEETWATER FATHER BEARS series. It was well paced, beautiful and humorous. Anya Nowlan knows how to make you fall in love with those sexy alphas. Hope you all will give this fabulous series a try.
Alistair is a bear shifter that definitely likes his own space and wants to be left alone but having another bear shifter Wright as a neighbour means an ongoing battle when they cross paths. All that changes when he arrives home to a note on his door from his neighbour, when he makes his way over he sees the smoke and knows where it's coming from............ after being unable to save Wright from the fire he hears a baby so he goes to find it. Remy works as a cashier and hates her job and the way her life has turned out, when she gets a call to tell her that her long time friend Wright has died she goes on the search to find out what happened to him and where his son Jonah is as no one knows he exists it seems............... The characters are great, stubborn with each other, secretive, protective, funny and the mates chemistry is strong.
An enjoyable read that puts two extremely stubborn and prideful people together who learn that talking and being open with each other saves a lot of mistrust and problems. Liked Remy for her belief in knowing she was right about something being wrong and in not letting a friend down and Alistair even though he was more used to being a loner and could not communicate well. I was so sad about what happened to Wright that was so horrible and for such ridiculous reasoning. Even though I have not yet read books 1 & 2 to know their stories, I liked that everyone was together at the end of this book. This is my honest review of this book.
I usually love this author but the female in the book was really bitchy. After breaking into the house by breaking a window, accusing the guy of awful things and then stealing the baby it just didn't make sense for the guy to still be into her. The story would have been good without those things but I just couldn't get over how incredibly bitchy the female was.
Remy is on a mission to find out what happen to her friend Wright and his son. Alastair is a grumpy shifter who prefers his own company. But life is filled with surprises. Short and easy read.
This series keeps getting better and better and is just long enough for an afternoon curled up on the couch. I received a free copy of this book and volunteered to review it.
This was another winner for the series. Alistair just wanted to be by himself at his cabin but a note from his neighbor changed all that. He made a rescue and was on the run. When Remy found out her friend was dead she had to find out what happened to him and his son. Her search leads her to Sweetwater and the grouchiest bear she's ever met. She's not leaving until she finds answers to her questions. This story flowed really well even though being short. It kept me reading way past bedtime. I loved it. I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion.

Well, it is official....I need to find this awesome place called Sweetwater!!! Some fine specimen of werebears there.....indeed.
Grumpy and solitaire would be the first two words most people would use to describe Alistair. He is ok with that. He works hard and simply wants to be left alone. Things have not always been easy for him and he just wants to stay away from it all. Go figure he starts working on his house in the same general area as another alpha werebear. Geez, there goes the peace and quiet. So imagine the anger that rolls through Alistair when he arrives home from work and finds a knife holding a note IN his front door. The handwriting belongs to that other werebear. This is fighting terms for sure. But now wait a minute something is a miss here....and now he has a little surprise counting on him. Oh boy!
Her only friend is not picking up the phone and not calling her back....there is something not right here. Then Remy gets a horrible call that sends her in search of her friends' son and the werebear who she believes took him. She is too stubborn to listen to reason and that can be a good thing and a bad thing. She comes to Sweetwater to find this Alistair and find out exactly what he knows about the death of her friend and what is happening with Jonah, his orphaned son. What poor little Remy was not anticipating is the gorgeous man watching her walk up to this house to start asking questions....Man he is hot.
Alistair knew there was something wrong when responding to his neighbors note, then he sees the fire of the neighbors house. Wait, is that a baby crying? He rescues the baby, calls out and tries to see if Wright (the neighbor) is there....the blaze is too wild and out of control from Alistair to go back in. He knows there is something bad here, and decides to move to Sweetwater. Now this blonde woman is tredging up the area looking right at him and .....oh man. Remy notices Alistair watching her, but who is he....this can not be the guy her friend Wright has complained about, can it? Well she is going to demand answers. She even breaks a glass in the back door to try to come into his house and see Jonah. Uh-huh....trouble is brewing. She doesn't back down, and sets up a tent (an actual tent) in the back yard of Alistair's house to prove herself to him about meaning business.
A call comes in, Alistair needs this job, so he takes Jonah and Remy along with him. He eats lunch with them, and his bear is purring. Oh boy...this can't be happening. He knows a storm is coming and he feels too guilty to let her camp out in the tent in the back yard during that. So he coaxes her in, thanks in part to Jonah being a key player now. Once inside, the little man is in his room sleeping, it is just the two of them. Things heat up oh so deliciously. Then the twists start happening. There is a big one that really has you on the edge hoping that this is not going to happen, it starts happening and then another turn happens. This is pivotal to both Remy and Alistair....but why? Is this the end of the road for them? Does he break her heart? Is she just a one night stand? Is there a future? Do they learn to trust and then learn to love and have a happy ever after? Hmmm, well it seems the only way you will get to find out what I know about this book is you will need to read it!
This has been a great series and this book is a good addition to that. There's more suspense in this one than the others but that only makes reading it that much more fun. The endings are sweet.
Alistair and Wright were always at loggerheads, so it came as quite a surprise when Wright leaves him a message asking him to come to his cabin. What is unexpected is the smell of fire and the cry of a baby. When Remy gets a call to say Wright is dead, she follows Alistair’s trail, which leads her to Sweetwater. Wright is Remy’s friend and she wants answers and to find Wright’s son, Jonah. Remy is determined to stay in Sweetwater and camps in Alistair’s backyard, until he entices her into his house. Remy and Alistair spend the night together, but the following day Alistair is distant and Remy thinks it is because of her; what could she have done. Nothing could be further from the truth; how could it be when she is his mate. Whatever threat Wright had faced, it had followed Alistair to Sweetwater and now they were all in danger, Jonah and Remy especially; someone was there to finish the job or thought Alistair knew more than he actually did. All Alistair wants to do is keep Remy and Jonah safe without upsetting them; to say his plan backfires is an understatement. Mariah’s wolf pack didn’t want mixed lines. With Mariah dead through childbirth, it only left Wright and the child to take care of and they were determined to carry out their plan, not allowing for unexpected surprises. This is another exceptional story in the Sweetwater Father Bears series; it is well-written and was an extremely enjoyable read. Certainly it is a book I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Alistair Samson and Remy Marshall. Alistair and Wright live close to one another in the Montana mountains being in alpha lines of bear shifters it has put them at odds. So when Alistair comes home one day with a note on his door from Wright asking him to come to his place he wonders what he wants now. Little did he know that he would find his home on fire and a baby boy in the middle of this fire. Alistair doesn't know what is going on but he does know that he feels he needs to protect this boy at all cost. Can he doe that and still have the life he wants as well though?
Remy has know Wright since they were little. She knows he is a shifter and that everyone finds his personality abrasive. All she has known is him as her friend though. So when she hears that he was killed in his home and no one mentions his son she knows she needs to do something. The problem she has though is where do you turn when know one knows about the child or believes her about there being one? She knows there is one person who must know more but can she get him to tell her or will she be left without answers again?
This is an amazing story about finding something more than you ever thought you would want in life. This story has it's ups and downs that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.
Alistair is a hermit, grumpy, angry Bear shifter. He likes his space and just wants to be left alone. Unfortunately he has a bit of a ongoing war with his neighbour which changes his life one night. He finds himself not alone anymore after saving a baby.
Remy a cashier who hates where her life turned out. As you can imagine being a cashier you get all kinds of agro from customers, you got to grin and bear the abuse. Well Remy is finding it harder and it would've been interesting to see her get in someone's face haha. When he long time friend dies she goes on the search to find out what happened to him and where his son is. Which leads her to Streetwater and to Alistair.
Well, these two are so stubborn it's frustrating. Alistair just wants to protect and Remy just wants answers. The banter is fun with these two and the relationship progress was amazing. I like how Alistair is this big recluse but then Jonah comes into his life and he opens his heart, then Remy comes along? Suttle changes to the both of them when they open themselves up. Great ending to a series.

Ali's and Remy's story was a good way to end a series. Alistair is an alpha loner bear but when his neighbor Winston left a note for him to come visit he knew it had to be something considering they didn't get along. So imagine walking up to find his house engulf in flames and a baby crying and the smell of wolf surrounding the area. He took the baby back to his hometown to raise as his own. Remy was devastated to find out her bff was killed in a fire but no mentioned of baby Jonah. She searched for him and found that he was with Alistair. All the misunderstanding Winston thought about Alistair were false and vice versa. Ali was glad Remy came onto his property. They had an adventure. The people who killed baby Jonah father was still out there and after him too. Sick people. Who would want to harm a baby? But nobody messes with a bear's mate especially when he realize she's his. That's his family and this bear will protect it. Read between the lines.....
This is the fourth book in the Sweetwater Father Bears series and it does not disappoint. This is a paranormal mystery. Alister and Wright are neighbors with issues against each other. Alister gets a strange note from Wright and goes to check it out. He finds Wrights cabin in flames. Running inside to find him he hears a baby crying. Rescuing the baby which he didn't know Wright had. Remy received a call saying her best friend has died, but nothing about his son Jonah. She sets out to find out where Jonah is and what happened. She tries to break into Alister's house then camps out in his back yard trying to get him to tell her what happened and why he has Jonah? Will these two figure out what s going on? Why would someone want to kill Wright and Jonah? It is a 5 star story. " I was under no obligation to review this Advanced Readers Copy I voluntarily read".
Such a sweet telling of what started out as a sad tale of death and arson, but ends with Remy ( a female human, trying to find out what happened to her best friend and his son) and Alistair( a werebear , who happened to be Remy's best friends neighbor). They come to a funny, snarky , sexy heated meeting of the minds to make sure the baby is well cared for, but Remy's distrust of men, and Alistairs' reticence of keeping the possibility of trouble away from Remy, sets them on a course for disaster as the men responsible for Wrights death appear out if nowhere to finish what they started,; the death of one cute and cuddly werebear cub. 4⭐️'s . I recommend this book to any lover of bear cubs, shifters or paranormal romance. I recieved a gifted copy and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.
Alistair is a bear shifter who lived in the wilderness of Montana off the grid, just like he liked it. His only problem was his grumpy neighbour Wright.
When he gets a note stuck to his door telling him to come to his neighbour's cabin he growls but goes yo see what he wants. He finds the place on fire and a baby. Not knowing what was going on we took the baby to his home town of sweetwater to keep him safe. Remy had been friends with Wright her whole life and his death hit her hard but why doesn't anyone know about Wright's baby! Hearing her friends grumpy neighbor took off to sweetwater she goes to find out what the guy knows.
Lots of action in this fun little story I couldn't put it fown. I just love the characters and the mystery. If your a shifter fan you will LOVE this one. Voluntary reviewed and I honestly loved it.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Stubborn!!!! Stubborn and loyal, that's what Wearbear Alistair Is which can be good and annoying at times. That is what Remy Marshall comes to believe when she has to track him down. Looking for more info on her friend Wright and his baby son Jonah. Alistair is a loner, keeping to himself so when he meets curvy Remy, his guard is up amongst other things. The story of Alistair and Remy trying to do the right thing but both being stubborn in the process. A story that was sad at times, dangerous, threats, love for a little boy and fighting emotions. It was great to read about previous characters and catch up. I just love this series, well all of the Sweetwater characters.
The Sweetwater Father Bears series manages to combine fun, hawt reads with adorable babies, each and every time. Big Bear Dad manages to bring out the “Poppa Bear” in Alistair and very strong maternal instincts in Remy. Ali and Remy build a relationship, and a family, with baby Jonah and how they do it is the story; I won’t recap, you’ll have to read it for yourself. I liked it, as I always enjoy the way Ms. Nowlan creates a family and loving bond with the characters. I will admit that I was a bit confused with how and where events happened but it didn’t detract from the story. The HEA for this “family” is enjoyable and will make you smile. It might even make you blush a bit! Overall, good story and I recommend.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and it was great loved the story of Alistair Jameson and the baby boy and Remy Marshall Alistair just wonted the simple things in life quite work and being a bear but he had another alpha bear living not to far from him and did not get along but one day he smelled smoke and went to find where and there was his enemy's house on fire and he needed help so he went in and found a baby boy he got him out alive but the father was dead Remy heard her best friend is dead in a house fire so she went to find out what happen to his baby boy and found him with Alistair and wants to know what happen and she had the hots for the bear shiftier and falls in love with him. Michelle
This is an intriguing and interesting book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. What you will find in this book is: a feisty woman looking for the truth (Remy Marshall), a man/bear shifter suddenly responsible for a baby (Alistair Samson), drama, suspense, intrigue, bear shifters, wolf shifters, mystery, fire, a baby, danger, misunderstandings, determination, attractions, betrayal, an ambush, fighting, explanations, lust, emotional feelings, love and mild erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written, the pace is steady and not rushed. The characters have needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a shifter romance with a HEA.

She definitely wasn't expecting the lumberjack, who may or may not be a killer, to sweep her off her feet. A fun read. I loved the strong characters and Remy's refusal to back down to Alistair.
it s not enough...it will never be enough.I don't want this series to ever end. I can t begin to say how much i loved the series. let s begin with the most amazing fact that even though this is a series where talking about, you can read them as standalone novels for those of you(myself included) who absolutely hate cliffhangers - then this is the book for you. If you like a spiced up story with action, some mystery wrapped around it and a whole lot of sexy shifter - this is the book for you. The plot flows nicely and the romance story doesn't disappoint. Overall this is a easy, breath of fresh air, enjoyable read that i recommend for all PA-R readers and shifter enthusiasts.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest!
Great Addition to the series! Alistair was trying to live in low profile. Then, Remy barges in demanding to know what happened to her friend. ( Wright) Meanwhile, Remy notices that Alistair is holding Wright's son Jonah. How did that happened? In order to find out, Remy decided to camp out in Alistair's backyard. She will stake her claim + not leave until she gets her answers. What started as an annoyance slowly turned into attraction then love. Aahh I was so glad that it turn out that Remy was Alistair's fated mate. There was some danger in the book, but overall, I though that the book was a fun read.
