Being the drummer in one of the biggest bands in the Miami area comes all of the privileges you would imagine. Tons of money. Tons of fame. Tons of hot sex.
Thing is, I'm the last of a dying breed. All of the other guys in the band slowly, but surely, have found serious girlfriends to settle down with. I've always loved being single, but lately I've been wondering what it would be like to have what they have.
I met this bangin' blonde photographer named Allie at a festival and our chemistry both in and out of the bedroom is incredible. Sex with her is electric and she's changed me in ways that I never thought were possible.
Problem is, our lead singer Alex hasn't trusted her from the start and suspects that she's with me just to bolster her career. He swears that after she uses me, she's gonna leave me high and dry.
I've finally met a girl and I think we have a real chance at something special, but can I trust her? Can I fully let my guard down, or could this beautiful angel break my heart and cause the breakup of my band and all we've ever worked for?

I wasn't sure if I was going to like Mark, because I wasn't a fan of his from the last book like at ALL. But he does redeem himself a little bit in this book.
Grrrr I want to smack Alex, like so freaking hard. I think I get he was “trying” to do the right thing and protecting a fellow band member but come on! Douchey, move dude.
Allie is totally awesome and cool in that way that fits with the band, though if I were her I so would have smacked Alex. She was well within her right.
Overall this was a great addition to the series.
Again, LOVE D.C. Cole’s narration... Like A LOT ;)

I have now read all of the Rock Star Romance books and I think Mark was the best of the series. The book was evenlypaced and the characters had evolved from their previous books just like growing in maturity and responsibility in relationships.
Considering that band or rock star genre is not my reading preference I did enjoy this series of books.
I chose to voluntarily review the advanced reader copy of this book.
Nobody ever takes pictures of the drummer right? Well in Mark's case it's so wrong. Allie is a freelance photographer and happens to come across Mark at a festival he's helping another band out for cause their drummer is injured. Their connection is instantaneous, after about three weeks or so Mark figures he's ready to introduce Allie to the band as his girlfriend. Everyone's accepting of Allie and the fact that she's a photographer along with how her and Mark met except Alex. The things this man says and does just has me fuming, I cannot stand this guy anymore. This is a quick read and would of loved more time with Mark and Allie but I enjoyed their story.
MARK by Jade Allen was addictive, fast paced but not long enough!!! I wanted MORE about Mark and Allie!!! I love rock star romances and this one ticked all the boxes for me! The chemistry between Mark and Allie was sexy and electrifying!! And I loved the banter between the band members! I enjoyed this audiobook and DC Cole's raspy voice gave me goosebumps!!! His voice was PERFECT for this rock star story!!
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.
I have read the previous 4 books in this series and definitely felt short changed by this one Three unrelated books are included Didn't ask for them not why I chose Mark As the last member of the band not in a relationship Feeling left out and still not getting on too well with his band Mark subs at a festival with another band meets a photographer they immediately have a connection his lead singer thinks she's using him tries to prove it by kissing her they get caught Mark gets pissed rest of band agrees with him call meeting Mark hits lead singer gets his share of new album sales for girlfriend as kiss was unwanted band goes on tour Mark and girlfriend are back to normal The End
I actually liked this one better but I'm not sure why! I liked that Mark and Allie developed their relationship before jumping the gun into "I love you" status. Our Alex was less than perfect in this story but gets his comeuppance in the end.
Loved this rock star romance. It took a little time for the story to build but I love this author's style or writing. Through all the bands personal and professional struggles to come together, in the end she made it all worth it.
Mark finally finds his HEA, but it almost breaks the band up, not once but twice. Yeah, it's a hot rock scene, but it's the time when condoms weren't used, and cigarettes were smoked almost anywhere.
Although this is part of a series, Mark is a standalone. Not having read/listened to any of the other books in the series, I did not feel lost as there was a little background given on the other bandmates. Mark is the drummer for a popular band called Molly Riot and it is finally his turn for love. He meets photographer Allie while standing in for a drummer with another band. His bandmates are suspicious of her, believing that Allie is simply using him to further her career. After a dirty trick that results in a break-up, Mark and Allie eventually find their way back to each other. I enjoyed this audiobook and the narrator's voice sounded very authentic - I could easily believe that he was actually in a rock band. I would recommend this audiobook.
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. This review is my honest opinion.
Wow! Saved the Best for Last! I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I absolutely loved the drama among the band members and threat of break-up. I certainly didn't see some of the events coming and was pleasantly surprised. Once again, D.C. Cole did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life. His smokey and seductive voice is so sexy and just draws you in and keeps you holding on. I highly recommend this audiobook and series!
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I thought this book was good. Not great, just good. It was entertaining. I missed the last book, so I didn't have any previous information to go on with Mark's personality. The introduction of Allie into this story was very good. It was just enough to question her intentions. I enjoy the rock star stories to get a little bit of insight into their life. The narrator did a good job with the characters. Separating them with his voice. He didn't slaughter the female voice, as many other male narrators do.
Mark's story was a perfect ending to this fun and sexy series. We not only learned more about Mark but the rest of the band as well. In the previous book, Dan, Mark was struggling with feelings of betrayal and the changing dynamics of the band. He had lost his love and enthusiasm for creating music. When Mark fills in for an injured drummer in another band, he remembers how fun playing music can be. He also meets and falls for Allie, allowing him to understand his brothers in Molly Riot better. There are still so many issues to overcome, to bring the band back to who they are and what they love most. Ms Allen addresses them openly and honestly giving this quick story a depth that is very satisfying. D.C. Cole's intonation was so perfect, adding to the playfulness, emotion, and passion of this story. I get lost in his narration not wanting it to end. I really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it.
This book was quite different than the others. I liked the way we got to see inside Mark's head, and what was going on internally with him from the last book. And, I was pleased by the ending. What more can one say about DC Cole? He was perfect for this series. Each character portrayed so very unique, great performance. Just everything you'd expect. Sorry to see this series end.
For some reason I think Mark his my favorite. Between him and Jules maybe.
After how Mark acted in Dan's book I was glad to get his side of the story. At this point he is the lone single dude in Molly Riot. After playing at a festival with another band, Mark kind of gets his mojo back and meets Allie who is a photographer at the event. They get really close really quick and fellow band made Alex just knows Allie is up to no good. I loved Mark and Allie. I was so happy Mark found someone for him. Allie was really great too. Ohh the conflict of the story. I really liked that and I loved the resolution. I wish we could get a littel glimpse of the future to see how the band recovered fully from the incident. 4 stars
Now on to the narration. I really feel like DC Cole created whole persona for each character. Maybe only I heard it but I felt like he kept each character voice for each book. The way he did Marks voice in each book was still Marks voice in his own book. I love DC Cole for rockstar books and he makes the characters sound so hot in the sexy times. Definitely listening to more from him.
Mark is the solo single guy in Molly Riot now. You'd think he'd be happy to be able to go for all the fans he wanted. What if what he really wants is to have what everyone else has. Allie appears out of nowhere. Things should be perfect now but ... NOPE. Life happens. Great closing story for the Molly Riot boys. I'll miss them though.
