Good set of stories. It doesn't get too repetitive or too silly. I would have happily read more of this storyline. It features the same characters in one bigger overall storyline, but the books never escape their short story origins to convince as one big joined-up narrative. It’s a short story collection, not a novel, despite keeping with the same characters in a story told in a short time-span.

I had no interest in these so I skipped them after briefly sampling the opening pages. The kink, as far as I understand it, did nothing for me. These three stories, as far as I’m aware, are not connected.

These three stories are not connected.

Owned

I felt a curious distaste for Owned as it was too close to an abduction and rape fantasy to be something I was comfortable reading. I gave up before the first sex scene.

Bound

This has a strong and effective story that goes in a genuinely kinky direction. I guessed the ending slightly before it happened but that’s not an issue. This is probably the best erotica short story I’ve read (in my limited experience).

Used

This was deeply unconvincing. The seemingly heterosexual lead character had not been shown to be submissive so when she suddenly bends to the will of another woman in public I couldn’t buy it. I couldn’t suspend my disbelief. It was too sudden and inexplicable. I nearly rolled my eyes with derision. It was way too contrived even for an erotica short story. I gave up before the first sex scene.

How I Became Her Pet [a standalone story*]

This was okay. It has a fairly silly premise but I bought into it as she wrote it well enough to make it seem vaguely plausible.

* EDIT: How I Became Her Pet was book three in the Lesbian Fantasies trilogy. I have no reason to believe the three short stories are connected beyond a vague theme of lesbian fantasies.

Lesbian Layover (SubAir Book 3)

The sex described is so extreme that I felt sorry for the stewardesses. I just wanted them to have the next couple of nights off so they could recuperate. Instead they are thrown into two more extreme sex scenes with barely a break in-between. I believe this was one of her earliest stories which would explain her willingness to have her characters be so unrealistic in the face of so much group sex. I assume she would now herself consider this to be over the top and a bit too silly. It was an okay story. It is the only story in the Lesbian BDSM Mega Bundle, that I’m aware of, to feature any heterosexual sex. It feels rather cynical that she’s included this story in the collection as it’s obviously bait to get you to buy parts 1 and 2.

Having read six stories, and peeked at some of the others, I have to say she repeats her structure way too much. She has a formula and she’s sticking with it. The stories all hit the same beats with monotonous lack of variation (a bit of story to set it up then three sex scenes escalating in extremity). There’s a lack of experimentation as she never seems to shake it up and write something outside of this formula.

I've given it 3 out of 5 as I only read slightly over half of it. She can write many, many sex scenes without being too repetitive but she’s let down slightly by a lack of invention in the shape of her stories.

ADDITIONAL 3/4/17: It’s worth pointing out that Ella Ford doesn’t really publish short stories. They are probably technically considered novelettes (7,500 to 17,500 words). I’ve had a quick glance (without reading) at some other short erotica stories by other authors and you can tell their plotting is much less involved than Ford’s. Their usual structure appears to be:

X and Y meet.
They have sex.
The end.

Ella Ford writes a lot more than that in each story. Like so:

X and Y meet.
They have light sex.
They have medium sex.
They have heavy sex.
The end.

She’s putting a lot more effort into her stories than most writers.
