A beautiful bride, a crooked millionaire, a handsome fighter… and a castle.
Meet Victor, an MMA fighter with his heart set on world domination. He has no time for love, which is totally dandy until a tiara-clad Helena drops into his arms at a European airport.
Meet Gunther, a groom with a shady agenda. Helena, his bride, has the coldest feet in the universe. Gunther is filthy rich, but at the altar, Helena realizes she can’t pop out mini-Gunthers just to ensure the upkeep of her home, Kyria Castle.
The runaway bride has all the lusts: wanderlust and soon, lust for Victor. Cue her escape to Florida. Cue her new job as a Hooters girl there. Cue her other new job as a ring girl.
In the meantime, Gunther is hellbent on tracking down his bride (read: his prize), while Victor battles his new obsession (the love of a lifetime?) Let the dramedy of epic proportions begin.
Sunniva Dee is a USA Today and Amazon top 100 bestselling author with an eclectic taste in books. Born and raised in Norway, Sunniva lived in the United States for 17 years before returning to the mothership, where she sucks inspiration from trolls and barn gnomes and cold little mermaids popping their heads out of the fjords. Oh, and Spotify. Always Spotify.
Sunniva dabbles in literary romance, romantic comedy, contemporary romance, young adult fiction, new adult fiction, dark romance, and paranormal. Unlike some authors, she was not raised by fairies, and unlike others, she’s not also a musician. But she boasts a ridiculous sense of humor and an obsession with furry mammals, both evident in the bestselling rom-com series #LovePranks.
I never know what to expect from Sunniva Dee. She always creates something different and unexpected and I like and appreciate that tremendously. The Fighter and The Baroness was no exception. Victor and Helena had a brief cameo in the phenomenal Dodging Trains but this book can easily be read as a standalone.
Victor and Helena were fantastic characters. Right off the bat I liked them and their chemistry even more. Helena was a strong young woman who loved her family and her heritage very much. She would sacrifice her own happiness so that her family's legacy would persevere. It also took immensely courage to acknowledge, that she couldn't go through with marriage based on no love and fail her family. Her running away and meeting Victor was the best thing that happened to her and him. Victor's story was heartbreaking and at the same time also heartwarming. Filled with so much hope and love. He truly met the right people at the right time. A chance meeting when he was a young boy proved to be essential to his future. His relationship with his mother Maiko and his MMA friends were important and I enjoyed their dynamics and how they brought out different sides of Victor. But his friendship with Helena was the anchor of this story. From their very first encounter to their slowly building romance. Their banter was so much fun and also very romantic. Victor tried his best to stay away and focus on his craft and Helena did what she could to be near him. Their romance was written at a wonderful pace. It made me enjoy and feel their lust they had for one another whenever they were together.
The added drama of her family home in Kyria being sabotaged and how Helena's ex fiancé showed up to bring her back, only proved why my heart was swooning over Victor. He showed some very sexy alpha moves which didn't go unnoticed by Helena or me;) Helena once again showed her strength and determination. She was a kickass Baroness! This story proved to be so much more than an ordinary love story. It had the Sunniva Dee touch and that's what made it unique. The story had layers and surprises. Her writing and prose was sublime and stronger than ever. The Fighter And The Baroness is another must read and a hit from Sunniva Dee.

Sunniva Dee never disappoints. She does her homework and writes true relateable characters. There are so many details in this book that made me love the writing but I can not share them without spoilers. Let me give you a general overview: the intertwining of characters, the full circle scenarios, the tense moments, the on the edge of your seat anticipation and timing make this another great work of fiction you won't want to put down! Victor was protective and dominant without being a brute, his love and respect for people and himself shined so bright I couldn't help but love him. Helena is not weak or immature but torn between duty and love that makes the reader root for her. Though a "side character" Maiko (Victors mother) commands our attention and respect without being a nasty verbal woman, she is wise in her quiet way and I loved her. The fight world can be tough to navigate. There are alot of technical details and different types of fighter personalities that can make emulating the true vibe of fight camps (groups) connect with a reader from the written page. I am happy to say that Sunniva does this seamlessly. As I read this book I felt myself thinking "I know a guy just like Keyon" "Dawson reminds me of that coach from California I knew" and that tells us all what a fantastic author we have in our hands.
This book is PHENOMENAL. Absolutely my favorite Sunniva book so far. The writing is simply amazing! A beautiful fairytale in a contemporary-romance setting.
Helena is one of my favorite heroines ever. She is so down-to-Earth, despite her station, and I loved her "voice" throughout the book.
Victor is equally amazing. I really felt for him from the beginning, and he executed the final scene of the book perfectly.
The story flows so smoothly, the ending was definitely happy, and I'm looking forward to catching up with these two in subsequent books (like maybe featuring Zeke? Hmm? Maybe?)
This was just an all-around excellent contemporary romance and I LOVED IT!!!

A Modern Day, New Adult Fairytale with a love story inside a love story that moved me to tears. This is my favorite book from Sunniva Dee, hands down! More to come upon release.
She is one of my favorite authors because she consistently delivers characters that seem so real and that are so easy to connect with, it is so easy to see someone you know or someone you’ve heard of reflected in her characters, in the way they are and the way they react to all the events in their lives, to me the fact that she manages to make the characters seem real is the most important and the most endearing part of her writing.
You can also tell that she does her homework, like in this book, she takes us to the world of fighting and I generally stay away from that world because sometimes the fights or the training process seems tedious and just a way to fill in pages in a book, but in Sunniva’s case that is not true, she makes every scene count, every scene is packed with feelings and with character growth.
Helena and Victor stole my heart from the get go, from their first scene together I was sold on their relationship, the bantering was precious, the way their relationship progressed was fun and also heart stopping at the same time, they get their HEA but they had to fight for it. Give this book a chance, you will not regret it, there are swoony parts and sexy parts that will have you grinning like a maniac (at least they did to me).
This is the story of Victor, a MMA Fighter with very humble beginnings and Helena, a German Baroness. These two characters could not be more opposite, but somehow in the middle of their differences they find each other and can’t deny their mutual attraction. I don't want to give away the story with any details, but this was a fun book to read and it was interesting to see how they worked to overcome some personal battles and decide who they want to be for themselves and each other
A fun read that was kind of different from the norm.
I absolutely loved this story. Helena is this beautiful strong woman, who has so much weight put on her shoulders. She is down to earth, sweet, and funny, but lost... Victor had a hard beginning. He is sexy, loyal, and determined to stay on a path set for him years ago. He's so strong and caring. I loved these two from the beginning. Their story is incredible. Its funny and touching..I loved this modern day fairytale!
Gah! I was given the privilege of beta reading Sunniva's newest work and I LOVE it! Victor is my new crush! MMA and crowns! But honestly, there is so much more. I cannot wait to get my hands on the final version.
I love the writing style of this author, no matter what the genre she manages to weave comedy and depth throughout her stories.
Helena (The Baroness) is doing a runner from her wedding, the meeting with the MMA fighters in the airport was a comic moment and the banter between her and Victor. He is strong, serious and sensible and she gets under his skin instantly and changes his life. He is captivated against his will and watching as he goes full alpha whilst she just smiles was really entertaining.
This is cute and funny, with a little intrigue and a character you will love to hate - I will call him Gunt, for reasons that will be immediately obvious! Very entertaining read, I don't know why I hadn't read it before now.
Two people from two different worlds brought together. The attraction is strong but can anything become of their connection? Victor's entire life is his MMA. There is no time in his left for anyone. Will things change once he meets Helena? I thought this was a great book about strong wills, steamy chemistry and a love stronger than the challenges trying to keep them apart.
this was such a beautiful read! The whole story was fantastic; very fairytale-ish soooo cute! The bit with the mama dog made me cry and tho the part with the "dragon fighter" by the end are pretty obvious still they made me smile and all gooey and cooey... I love it!
Tiaras. Castles. Elegance. High society. Sweat. Dedication. Hard work. MMA ring. When these two worlds collide, neither will be the same again.
Sunniva Dee has this crazy kind of talent that can take two people who couldn't be more different and mesh them together in a heart-stopping romance that will take your breath away. She's conquered angels and humans, rebellious and focused, reserved and dominating, rocker and widow, and now, now she's done it again--MMA star and German baroness. Seriously, is there anything this author can't do?
I doubt it.
This book plastered a smile on my face from page one and it remained there long after "The End." It took me to a place of princesses and ball gowns and fairy tales and castles, and the girly-girl in me was absolutely in love. I pictured Kyria Castle in my mind so clearly, and my Lord was it beautiful. But then what happens when you take the pretty princess out of her castle and plop her in a tiny apartment on the less-than-castle side of Florida?
Now take a rising MMA star who values hard work, determination, and honor above anything else. Desperate to fulfill the dreams his adoptive parents set for him when they took him off the streets of Thailand, Victor has much to live up to. His father, now deceased, and his world-known fighting trainer mother have given him everything, including a once-in-a-lifetime chance to become the champion he's always wanted to be. He doesn't have time for a princess.
This book is one of Ms. Dee's best. The characters are relatable and the story is enchanting. This is a fairy tale you won't see coming!
4.5 Modern-Day Fairy Tale Stars *Copy gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review*
Two individuals. Two different worlds. With Helena and Victor's missions, they can't afford any distractions. But how will they deny the sparks that ignite between the two main characters, in this love story? Well, they can't. Try as they might, they will both be in for a ride of their life.
Secrets are meant to stay in the closet. BUT I believe from personal experience that there are no secrets that never stay hidden. And when the truth comes out, it's up to us how to deal with the consequences. It'll either ruin you for good or it'll make you stronger.
As Helena and Victor, go through the obstacles in life, will they both be strong enough to hold on to each other or will they end up going their separate ways?
I highly recommend this to all the fans who love stories that remind me of the prince and the pauper. Another great book from Sunniva Dee!!! Can't wait to read your next book! ❤
No surprise that I enjoyed Sunniva Dee’s latest, “The Fighter and the Baroness: a New Adult Fairytale”. It lives up to its premise—a modern day story about finding love.
Readers will fall in love with the main characters right away. Helena von Isenlohe is spunky and unbelievably brave. She’s a spur of the moment type of girl. But she’s also loyal to a fault. Victor Arquette is driven with purpose—becoming a pro MMA fighter in Vegas. He quickly learns, though, that determination only gets you so far in life. Sometimes, even a fighter, needs a distraction.
The one character readers will hate, with good reason, is Gunther Wilhelm. He’s reprehensible. This man is determined as well. But his motivation is based on greed while Victor’s motivated by his pure heart. [Swoon moment….]
I actually held my breath at one point in Dee’s story. I was so worried about the outcome. But of course, the worry was for naught. How this story ends is more than wonderful. It really is a modern day fairy tale. “The Fighter and the Baroness” will have readers believing in the power of love and justice.
Good job Sunniva Dee! I can’t wait for the next outstanding read. Now if I can just manage not to tear through her books so fast…
What a fantastic, fun read!! Ms. Dee does it again!! She had me engaged from the start. I went from laughing out loud, to holding my breath, waiting... to a few deep, romance-filled sighs... back to laughing out SO loud again!! (Let strangers look at you funny, it makes it even more amusing and opens up a conversation about an amazing Author! ;) ) This story is so wonderful! Who would think that an MMA fighter would be fighting for the love of a Baroness?!? and the banter.. have I mentioned all of the humor in this story? Ms. Dee is good at throwing suspense in the mix, along with the swoon-worthy hero & heroine. Do not push the secondary characters out of the way though! They are important also in this journey! ;) Recommended to anyone who needs a good laugh, those of us who enjoy our suspense, and of course, the ones who are looking for a bit of romance. A solid five stars, but only because I am not allowed to give it more.
One word.... amazing!! This is my first read by this author and wow!! I really didn't know what to expect and she just blew me away. The characters in this book are so realistic it's like I've known them for so long. I instantly fell in love with this couple. All they've been through for love. Victor meets Helena in an airport her still wearing her wedding dress from a wedding she just ran out of. They happen to be going to Florida so might as well hang out together while getting there. Their relationship is so easy... so accepting ... so loving... so natural. Throughout the book we see their live evolve into something so deep. These two were meant to be be together. I believe in soul mates and these two are exact that. Do r get me wrong... they end up together in a HEA but the route there is a bumpy one!! Can't wait to read more from this author!!
Ahhh, what a fantastic fun read! I Loved The Fighter and the Baroness. The main characters Victor Arquette and Helena Von Isenlohe have demons to overcome in this fun romp through Germany, Thailand and Florida. I love this Authors writing style, her characters are lovable and relatable. This story will make you laugh out loud at some of Helena's quirky antics. Right from the beginning I knew I would love Helena's character, she's fun, determined and strong willed. Victor is all man and his MMA friends will keep you entertained. This is a must read and now one of my favorites.
I give The Fighter and the Baroness 5 stars for it's fun read and relatable characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance.
i was lucky enough to get to read this as an arc. and as always it was brilliant. love the story in this book and i love victor.. would definetly reccomend this book..
This is the first book I've ever read by Sunniva Dee. After reading this book and loving it, I cannot wait to read more of her books!
The title of the book intrigued me first. I liked the sound of a modern-day fairy tale, and a romance between two people I wouldn't normally put together. The book didn't disappoint either! I truly loved it. It was so funny at times, too. Especially at the beginning, and I love touches of humor in a book!
The fighter that accidentally fell in love with our leading lady, Helena, is so swoon-worthy. The story of his past is so heartbreaking and it was awesome seeing his dedication pay off. I love how dedicated and loyal he is. Helena was a great character as well, but not the brightest. She trusts way too easily. She's young, though, and she is a big reason the book is so entertaining to read. The romantic pull between these two was awesome.
All in all, wonderful book! Between the romance, fighting, and other drama, it'll keep you hooked.
Oh. My. Heavens. To. Betsy!!! I love love love Victor and Helena. So bloody much.
Determination meets Sophistication.
When two people from opposite ends of the spectrum meet sweetness, laughter, and new beginnings will ensue.
Victor, who was basically born and raised on the streets of Thailand, is a determined, skilled in Muay Thai, mama's boy. Not letting his past define his future, he is willing to do the hard work, and endure anything to get to the top. His fierce determination, unbelievable discipline, and his surprise advantage have made him one the best. I kind of admire him, and his strong-willed ways. His inability to quit just because he's good, when he knows he can be great. Having his mama as his trainer, (and conscience) has gotten him far, but not as far as he wants to go. One contract, a new trainer, and a training camp later he meets a "Princess".
Helena, an heiress to a freaking castle! Although, I badly butchered her name out loud, in my head, it's beautiful and powerful. Like her. She's sophisticated, and smart, and a runaway bride. A sort-of arranged marriage catastrophe sends her running for the nearest airport. Straight into the path of one very sexy Muay Thai fighter. At first, Helena and her snarky attitude irked me. But then I kept reading, and I couldn't help but feel bad for her. Trying to do the right thing for her family, and their heritage took a drastic toll on her ability to live her life the way she wanted.
Victor, and Helena's first meeting was definitely one of my favorite moments from the whole story. Total fighter in shining armor with a side of "flustered, panicky, barking princess." It was priceless like the century-old heirlooms Helena was wearing.
Victor had rules, though. Rules he never thought he'd break.
"The good ones don't come easy, and a guy needs a challenge."
Helena, for her part, goes through a somewhat transformation. She becomes stronger, more sassy. I really adored her, and I thought she was just what Victor needed.
"My sweet man with his stubborn, go-for-the-win attitude."
The ending was so tender, and sweet. Sassy, and saucy. I had to fan myself while drying happy tears.
"The tiniest token of my love for you."
GW ain't got nothing on my man, Victor!
Sunniva has the uncanny ability to flawlessly throw sparkling jewels, and Muay Tahi hand wraps together to create a sensational fairytale. Because, yes that what's this book is for me, a fairytale. Whether she meant to or not, Sunniva turned me into a tiara wearing, Muay Thai loving, wanna be castle living "Princess", in my head at least.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Martial arts fighter, Victor Arquette is focused. He aims to become the best in mixed martial arts. It’s what he’s destined to do. He doesn’t need distractions as he remains dedicated to his craft. Enter Helena von Isenlohe and everything changes. Helena left her home behind as her father’s castle deteriorates due to his money woes. As the future of the castle relies on some of her life choices, Helena flees. In her defiance against family and love, she meets Victor. She’s a mystery he can’t get enough of. He’s inexplicably drawn to her. And you feel it the moment they meet. They end up parting ways once they get to their destination. But fate has a way of intervening.
Victor and Helena see each other again and its just as magnetic as the first time. Victor tries to give her up. He’s busy. So much work in his career to be done. But he finds himself thinking about her when he shouldn’t be. Helena’s heart is back home with her family, but she slowly finds that that same heart may already found its real home. With Victor. But how does one choose? There’s this fierceness between them. Something both know they should ignore, but it’s impossible. This ferocity causes them to feel things that neither have time for. But the heart knows no time or circumstance.
The Fighter and The Baroness had depth and intensity, but was perfectly balanced with humor and light. I found this read to be quite refreshing as it was never predictable. Victor was a lover that most women dream about. He loved with fervor. Deeply. Unreservedly. He didn’t get love. He’s been through so much. But with her he wanted to love and be loved. Helena was a great heroine and her strength was something I admired. Her love for Victor was powerful and purposeful. Their love persevered.
Gripping and unexpected, Victor and Helena’s story was brilliantly written with an engaging storyline that kept me turning the pages. Although a bit lighter than her usual reads, this book still holds the voice of Sunniva Dee. The voice of hopefulness in the face adversity. The author stays true to her profound writing style as she crafts the kind of love story that only she can. Magical. Breathtaking. Fascinating. And of course you will find humor in the story. I even laughed out loud a few times. Victor and Helena are genuine and relatable characters. The author demonstrates her talent in her meticulous character development. They are what drives her compelling and engaging storylines. And this story was no different.
My Review (ARC provided) http://triciaciak.blogspot.com/ 4.5 stars! I’m going to be totally honest here and say I wasn’t sure about another “fighter” book. I’ve read a lot over the years and a lot of them seem to go down a similar path. Well I don’t know why I even gave it a second thought, Sunniva never does the same path she always takes us in a different direction and with this book it was no different. First off the chemistry between the heroine (Helena) and hero (Victor) is so well done. I felt it; it was sizzling but at the same time a lot of fun. They were passionate but yet didn’t take themselves too seriously. They were serious and determined when they needed to be. I mean we have a baroness that works at Hooters after escaping to America because she ran away on her wedding day.
“This girl appeared out of nowhere, a wild dream in a flurry of white fluff and lace, breezing through security.”
Victor has many obstacles in his way; he doesn’t need a distraction and definitely can’t afford drama with his strict training routine. Yet he can’t stop himself when it comes to Helena but he tries to convince himself to stay away.
Helena likes to have fun with Victor, rile him up make his “warrior” come out. They have this great banter between them that kept me smiling throughout, and I love her inner dialogue about Gunther it really cracked me up.
“Gunther Wilhelm the Fourth is clearly pleased with himself. Is he stranger by the minute, or has he always been this odd?”
“I’m mentally unfriending Gunther Wilhelm the Fourth.”
She is also so devoted to her family and keeping up the place she grew up and wants to have family in one day. She puts this constant pressure on herself to help her family and their estate, she doesn’t want it to fall to pieces but yet she wants to be independent and on her own.
“I know every nook of Kyria. It’s where my children should be born and grow up. I can’t imagine a life without this place. It’s anchored in my heart.”
This is a modern day fairytale with a twist. It was great! Sunniva created this life, these families and owned it, while taking the reader into a few places we weren’t expecting.
This was a sweet love story that was very touching but yet fun. If you’re looking for a good holiday read this is a great one, add it to your list.
I really enjoyed this read I instantly fell in love with Helen I just loved her little spunky little sassy self.. Helen is also a very strong-willed doesn't want help will do it herself kind of person.
Now Victor ....*sigh* I love Victor he's very protective kind alpha male... Victor hasn't had an easy life but he's always been around the fighters even as a young little boy struggling to survive to see him become the man that he is it's just well and I love how you got to know Victor when he was little I love that about the story...
So now with that being said when you put Helen and Victor together it is a cute so realistic story I can see the bickering or not even bickering it's more the playful Kinda tag you're it kind a deal, they both have feelings for each other but you know can't let each other know I just love the playful ways they were how Helen could see that Victor was very protective of her and she played with that she had fun... and what's a perfect story without a speedbump you could almost say there was a couple but I'm not going to let you guys know what they are I don't like to give away the story and I definitely recommend this as a great giggling good read.
Sunniva Dee’s latest book The Fighter and the Baroness is a heartwarming sweet love story. Victor had a rough start in life, and I felt for him, but it only made him stronger and determined to succeed in being the best at what he does. He has a heart of gold and has those alpha qualities I loved. Helena was such selfless person who wanted to put her family and legacy before her own happiness. I liked her practical, realistic and sensible side.
I like the storyline engaging from the start. The characters were genuine and endearing. Victor and Helena were perfect for each other, loved their chemistry, how they met and how their relationship developed it was fast moving, but it didn’t feel rushed or unbelievable.
Sunniva’s writing was faultless, and I like how she made me care about the characters. I loved the fighting action Sunniva’s description of it made me feel I was watching from the sidelines. If I were to say anything it would be, that I would have loved more, as I’m greedy that way. I do love MMA fight scenes.
Overall The Fighter and the Baroness was a great read that will get you swoon, laugh and want to punch someone. There is a beautiful ending that left me with a big smile on my face. If you like MMA fighters just like me, then this book is just for you.
This wasn't what I was expecting at all. For some reason, in my head, this was going to be a light romance. And, whilst there weren't scary demons to be vanquished, nevertheless, both characters were struggling with elements of themselves.
As always, one of the great strengths of this author is her character development. Helena seemed to be to be a real contradiction - naive and yet canny and confident at the same time.
And Victor? A real sweetheart. So surprised by his feelings. So unsure about what to do with them. In a lot of ways, the mirror image to Helena - more worldly and full of second guesses. As a pairing, they really work.
There is really a lot to like about this story. For me, I felt that it took a little while to warm up, and I struggled a litle bit with Helena's apparent inability to see elements of a certain character's nature, when it was more obvious to the reader.
What I will tell you is that with this particular bad guy, I felt that Sunniva hit just the right level of slimy obsequiousness.
So, unexpected, but enjoyable nevertheless.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I would read Sunniva Dee’s summary of a takeout menu. The woman can write, so when I had the opportunity to check out this latest gem, of course I couldn’t wait to dive in. I immediately lost my heart to this modern fairytale that had all the heat, realism, and passion of her other works.
I loved the baroness, Helena. I loved how her complex life of privilege hasn’t corrupted her innocence, compassion, and curiosity about her world.
I swooned for the fighter (pauper), Victor. His intensity and dedication to his craft as an MMA fighter that can only be unhinged by one sweet, irresistible light he never saw coming.
I cringed and laughed at the antics of the ridiculous Gunther Wilhelm Affenheimer the Fourth as he tries to claim what shouldn’t be his.
Mostly, you will find a story of an improbable romance challenged by brutal loyalty to different worlds. But these two have spent their lives fighting outside the cage so it should come as no surprise that they pour their souls into winning the ultimate prize.
This is the first book that I have read Sunniva Dee. I have to say I really enjoyed The Fighter and the Baroness. Helena and Victor came from two completely different worlds, but fit so well together. Helena is fleeing her country when she meets Victor at the airport in Munich. At first Helena is slightly rude to Victor - she has had a rough day - but Victor sees past Helena's feisty attitude. Victor has very little time outside of training and fighting, but he can't get his mind off of Helena and continues to seek her out. At times I found his behavior a bit too caveman, but he was able to redeem himself. Helena's time in the United States is limited since she has obligations back in her country and her home, Kyria. They start up a sweet and loving relationship. Helena was so supportive of Victor's career, and Victor was always looking out for Helena keeping her safe. Really enjoyed all the details, both Victor and Helena's homelands and their pasts. I recommend The Fighter and the Baroness.
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy of this book for my honest review.
I've gotta say this was a great one!! I wasn't sure by non descriptive sexual encounters and lack of completion. I know that sounds silly but I'm just used to that in alot of books I read. BUT that being said Sunniva makes up for that with the emotion, humor, sexual tension, and the hot guys ;)
I love fighters so Victor just totally did it for me but then you throw a hard past on that? Whew hoo. That just makes for a dedicated bad boy with a heart of gold. That is Victor.
Then you have what you think will be a prissy rich girl. Yeah yeah baroness.. But she is nothing like that at all. She does what she needs to survive and make a life for herself in the US. After meeting the most beautiful man she's ever seen she is at a loss as to how to continue but she does. Luckily for her they find their way back to each other but will her fiance allow it???
I am so glad I was able to review this book for Sunniva. I look forward to reading more of her work.
This book was an amazing read! Lighter than the previous books by Sunniva Dee, this story is sweet and sexy but with a great plot and fantastic characters.
Victor and Helena are very likable and I was hooked from the very first line.
This modern fairy tale is engaging, entertaining and fun to read!
Victor knows had known extreme poverty in his native Thailand until he was rescued by an American couple who trained him to be the best fighter. His whole life revolves about that goal. Helena was born in Germany in a fairy tale castle. She ends up in America after running away from her own wedding.
The love between these characters evolve little by little and I couldn't put the book down!
