Flourish Inspired by wild and wayward floral styles, Willow Crossley creates natural and original arrangements using cabbage roses to cow-parsley. In Flourish she demonstrates how easy it is to transform a handful of fresh cuttings into arrangements to decorate your home throughout the year. Arranged by season, spring covers foxgloves, cowslips and snake head fritillaries, while summer offers bouquets of roses to rosemary and autumn includes arrangements of crab apples, chocolate cosmos and clematis flowers. For winter, Willow draws from ivy, moss and snowberries, whilst also demonstrating how to make an Old Man
I loved this book, the images are beautiful and I liked the honest and friendly voice that it is written in. It included many flowers and foliage that I have heard of, which is great (and means I have a shot at trying to find them in New Zealand). It was an inspiring read and made me excited to find some great vessels and invest in some floral tools, I am looking forward to seeing what I can create!
What a beautiful read! It's full of pictures of stunning stylish arrangements of flowers and foliage. It really inspired me with the belief that I can elevate my house from the ordinary to extraordinary with the transformative power of flowers. There is a great variety of tips to deal with a range of display from simple to elaborate.
I just got it for the lovely pictures really, it’s a gorgeous book. A few useful facts about how to condition and look after different types of flowers too. I can imagine that a lot of these arrangements would cost a bomb to make, but I did find peonies in Tesco yesterday
Pretty flower pictures! I have it as an ebook, but a hard cover would make an excellent coffee table book. Every now and then I skim through for interior decorating ideas. She definitely has a gift for floral bouquets.
